He has provided good guidelines, always been very supportive and encouraged me to hit medical goals. Routine well checks are free with my healthcare yet they called it an illness visit and added a 45 minute charge fee to the insurance so I was billed nearly $250 for 15 minutes. My insurance said they billed it incorrectly to make money. I was actually only talking to the nurse for 15 minutes so she makes $1,000 per hour. This is atrocious and a scam. I had to ask for the basic blood test. She did not order a mammogram, colon or bone density test. I complained of my ear plugging and she did not even look at it. I had injured my arm and found out later that she made no notes of it and wanted me to come back in merely to order an x-ray for it. It would be impossible to see what was wrong with a probable Deltoid muscle tear without an x-ray or MRI so why she refused to order one, I do not know. I guess just to get money for another useless visit. I told Whitney that I was depressed after losing my grown daughter w/young children to cancer. She immediately turned the conversation to all about her own problems without addressing any possibilities that might help me to better cope. After telling the staff manager, Margaret, that I had been told via text I would be switched to an actual doctor after reporting the poor service from Whitney, she said that they do not text and it must've been a robo response. I then sent proof with copies of the actual text messaging that I had an ongoing conversation with someone that was going to assign me to an actual doctor, which never happened. Margaret never acknowledged, apologized or helped in any way. Northwest Family Medicine is a terrible place and I would advise any and all to stay clear! I just got a call from a costumer service rep about an upcoming apt. She was very rude and hung up on me. Her "im calling to see if you are on your way to your appointment. " Me "no, I thought i cancelled all future appointments. " Her "no, you didn't. I guess I will notify the provider you are not coming". Me starting to say "sorry about that" as she hangs up. The lack of communication and poor interactions needs to improve.

This review is primarily for the emergency room…read more We recently had to take our daughter to the emergency room because she had a scratch on one of her eyes. There was very little wait time, everybody was friendly and helpful. The whole medical team did an excellent job, they made her feel really safe and helped her with her nerves. They did a great job of figuring out what was wrong, telling us what we needed to do. Really appreciated the service that we received and appreciated that there was not a long wait time for triage or to be seen by a provider.

This hospital only cares about money - not patients. A friend recently had a foot surgery that went…read moresideways and the whole time all they wanted to do was send her home knowing full well that she could not take care of herself as she lives alone. They always blame the insurance company. Most of the hoop jumping to try and get her to a facility was done by friends NOT by the hospital. In the end they said they would charge her $1800 a day if she stayed past noon and she is on Medicaid. They sent her home with stitches in her hip because of bone being taken to put in her foot along with rods in toes. No weight bearing for weeks. When they released her I asked them "Can you guarantee her safety if she goes home, knowing that she cannot use a walker or even go to the bathroom without help?" The hospital nurse said "No we cannot guarantee her safety". WOW!! There it is right there - money money money. I don't know one person who has EVER been treated like this at Northwest Specialty Hospital. The doctors are amazing, the food is amazing - the mangement is aweful and the communication is even worse. I asked one of the nurses if she could send a case worker or advocate to talk to us and her answer was, "Well, if Ican find one". How pathetic that. Never would I ever rcommend this hospital to anyone. I will however, continue to go there for lunch - amazing food!
