For me it was a real head scratcher. Rick and Tony came out the next day and arrived ontime at 830 am. Within an hour they diagnosed and fixed the problem which was faulty wiring of the GFI. I told them they did not have to but they insisted on repeatedly putting on booties when coming into the house. They have a $200 fee for coming out that covers repairs if they do not need to install expensive equipment. I think that is very reasonable in today's world. Rick, who lead the team, strikes me as being honest as the day is long. It is so good to find intelligent, honest, and competitant craftsmen to fix stuff when it needs. Jim's Electric is now my go-to place for electrical repair, inspection and installation.

John checked it all out and gave me an estimate the next day. I had some questions. He answered them. We agreed on a start date and figured it would take about 10 business days to complete. His crew came on time and finished the job ahead of schedule. A few issues came up, as they will in a 100 year old house. They had to open a few ceilings which we were hoping wouldn't have to happen, but they were very good about conferring with us as each issue came up. They also discovered some wiring which had already been brought up to code so they told us about it and took it off the bill. I recommend Your electric now without reservation

Eddie from AD electrical was very responsive and informative when it came to my questions and…read moreconcerns. I wanted two standard 3way wired switches installed by the front door, since it was unsafe walking in the dark just to turn on the light on the other end of the room. I also requested that an exhaust fan be installed in the bathroom, since the moisture had nowhere to escape, causing water stains to show. I got a few quotes from yelp! but AD Electrical seemed to me to be the most reliable and reasable when it came to the overall price of the project as far as i can tell; I even asked him about alternate ways to save money and he broke down the pros and cons, if I chose one over the other. For example: a wired switch vs a smart one or the exhaust ducked work placed on the side of the home or on the roof, he said on the side of the home would be more expensive so we went with the roof and the best part everthing was done very quickly with no delays or hiccups. Reviewing the work after the fact l noticed that two smart switch were installed instead of what we agreed on, so there was a bit a of miscommunication there but no worries since it would have been a lot harder and more expensive to do, this way was easier and less expensive. Lastly the exhaust seems to be a quite one but I'm not sure, since it seems to be running very weak as if it can't remove the moisture from the air at an optimal pace.

I have an old house (built in 1920). I recently had my basement waterproofed. It is a good system…read morethat includes 2 sump pumps, each with battery backup pumps, but I was warned that eventually I'd need to get them all off of the same electric circuit. Domenic scoped the job to add dedicated power for each, plus installed 4 outlets and ceiling lights in a dark basement that was mostly lit by hanging task lights with extension cords snaked all around. No more of that! Basement is well lit now with the touch of 2 wall switches installed at both ends of the basement. Domenic also helped get rid of the same snaky extension cord problem in my living room. Old houses weren't built for all of the many electrical devices we use these days. He helpfully suggested 4 outlet boxes thoughtfully placed in the floor along the perimeter: 2 double and 2 quadruple outlet boxes. Finally, he replaced a noisy kitchen ceiling fan for me, and added a brand new ceiling fan in the living room which I've always wanted (both fans purchased by me, before he started the job) Here is my bullet list for Garofalo Electric LLC's best qualities, on display through the 2 full days of work he performed for me: * Professional * Courteous * Good listener, willing to adjust the approach based on my suggestions, doing so reasonably, without adding to the cost. * Extremely competent * Extremely efficient * Reliable; says what he will do and does what he says * Reasonable and affordable. I highly recommend Garofalo Electric! Domenic will be my go-to for all things electrical in my dear, old house!

Sean called me back 1.5 hours later to tell me they WON'T come to my area to do the work I explained to 2 different people that I needed. Instead, the "master electrician" texted me, " "we can't drive that far for a repair. We would suggest installing new lights. Anytime we try to repair a light it just spells trouble for both the client and us." Then, when he could tell I was upset (and probably thinking about leaving a bad review), he suddenly offered to come out and fix my fixture for free. Hmm. This company is a SCAM.
