The scheduled activities both at the facility and outside the facility are truly enjoyable. They even welcome family members to join in the activity. My dad went from living in his own home to a memory care facility. What I was most impressed with was the daily communication the staff gave our family during this tough transition. They wanted us to know how our dad was doing in his new residence. Staff did everything possible to make the transition as smooth as possible. They did all this with grace while maintaining my dad's dignity. The facility is clean both inside and outside. The grounds look great! I felt a very large bump that was about 6 inches vertical and 4 inches horizontal with about a 2 inch rise. I immediately went to the front desk and asked if they were aware if she had a fall. The Executive Director of the facility, Tina Stoflet, said that was something that needed to be discussed with the medical power of attorney. I asked, again, if they were aware of the situation. Stoflet, with a very rude expression, repeated that was something I needed to discuss with the POA. This is untrue, as I was not seeking to discover any medical diagnosis or condition. Stoflet remained argumentative and brought up some family disputes of which she had no business to be involved. I had a few words with her, some of which were colorful, but I was neither loud nor disruptive, and left. A short time later, I received a phone call from a police officer telling me I was no longer permitted to visit my mother. Unprofessional, uncaring, and apathetic. Since I am neither the medical nor the financial POA, there is nothing I can do about it...other than share my experience and prevent other families from having to deal with this facility.

Upon entering, there is a large open area and from there you can see into the kitchen and dining room. The halls are wide and each room has a small area that many of the residents use to display items or seasonal decor. Given our visit was in November, there was a lot of fall or harvest type items on or near the doors to several of the units. Because we have a large family, we made use of their common room, which while a bit narrow, is well-appointed and has a large island as well as several tables and sets of chairs, plus a couple sinks. Really my only issue here was the "sign in" process. The front desk person wasn't assisting any residents or on the phone, but could not be bothered to help anyone with their tablet used to sign in and print a name badge. The badges themselves were useless--my husband never wore his and no one batted an eye for the entirety of the visit.
