BEWARE this facility has had over 7 Director's of Housing in the last 4.5 years. The bar is extremely low. If your loved one is in need of actual assistance, say Level 2 or 3 acuity they are not equipped nor willing to care in a dignified manner. My mother moved here in early 2020 with the same level of care needs as when she was forced out in late 2024. The current housing director, Candice, began a campaign to kick her out in June 2024 using emotional abuse, retaliation and bullying tactics. She repeatedly entered her room without permission and told her she was "feeble, and too much work." She insulted and dehumanized my mother and instructed caregivers to strip her of care needs she had been receiving for years. While some caregivers complied with these dehumanizing instructions, others did not (thank you to the few and shame on the rest!) In addition, the food is of low quality, with the same basic menu repeated every week. Bland picnic food such as hotdogs and potato chips are served multiple times a week with nary a vegetable in sight. There is NO DESIGNATED CLEANING STAFF. The caregivers are expected to clean the rooms on top of all of their other duties. This is simply not possible so please enjoy filthy rooms in unhygienic conditions. I am consciously choosing not to name caregivers in this post as I fear retaliation for them. But my hope is that if you have a vulnerable or disabled senior in your life you will read this review and look for another location for your loved one. Otherwise, plan on visiting MULTIPLE times a week/month until they make serious changes in management and find a competent Director of Housing. What a sad and disgraceful end for my family at this residence.

Absolutely do not send your loved one to live here if they have medical needs. Staff are unlicensed…read moreand unable to provide routine care. It is not safe. They have abandoned patients in the ER and refused to let them come home because they didn't want to provide simple wound care. Their staff are rude on the phone and uncaring. Think twice before sending someone here, it's very sad and sinister.

And as a result of a profit making organization, profit comes before residents comforts which is reflected in the mediocre quality of the facility. The quality of the resident's furnishings is 2nd hand at best and NOT clean. In the double rooms only a flimsy curtain separates the to roommates each with own television but no was to view when other resident's is on. Bedding is also of extremely poor quality and beds a never made the appropriate way: fitted sheet, too sheet, blanket and uncomfortable plastic pillow. Single room bedding not appropriate either. Housekeeping is indifferent. The nature of the resident's need will determine the CNA's performance. Unfortunately, the facility is woefully understaffed. This is reflected in the extremely long wait times for resident assistance. The quality of the CNA staff is worth noting notwithstanding the shortage. Mediocre, at best, appears the average performance level. A few superior CNA's and even more that need more training. Professionalism among the CNA's is marginal. Not so for RN's. There is NO consistency in the execution of tasks by CNA's. Everyone does things differently. There appears to be no policies for the work done by the CNA's. The food is absolutely disgusting and inedible. All canned and frozen. Nothing fresh. While the quality of the therapist is great, the equipment available to the PT department is either run down, I'll repaired or broken. The PT gym has very little quality equipment for the therapists to use. The front of building's public areas have been recently remodeled and look nice. However, this belies the grungy quality of the private, resident rooms. None of the above characteristics would provide a resident comfortable recovery. PLEASE DO NOT CHOOSE ARIA of Brookfield for rehabilitation therapy.

Residents in the hallways ... my husband was there and needed help. No response. His roommate hollered and was able to get help. Beat up old cheap furniture. No phones in rooms. If you don't like the one thing they are serving for a meal call two hours ahead of meal on the nonexistent phone. Avoid this place like the plague. It's a disgrace. If you love your loved one, do NOT bring them here. Bring them home. They'll be safer and get better care.

From the insect problems to the elderly lady that does activities that yell at the clients and snatch things out of their hands. Why isn't anyone reporting the elderly abuse? If they wanted to they can't even get seconds because Valerie which is the social worker takes all the food home. I watch a client fall outside and no one from the campus came outside to help her get up. My mom was so full of BM that I could smell it as soon as they brought her to me. I can't speak for the childcare side but the Adult side is horrible. I asked to speak with the director multiple times and the lady that has the office at the front comes out saying I'm her sister how can I help, you're not who I need. I can't remember how many times I asked the staff to keep my mother things together do they no. That campus and staff is a complete joke. All they want is your money without providing great care. The young lady that did our tour was so sweet and nice but she no longer is there. I wish I could remember her name. Not all of them are bad it's just the rooms upstairs those lady's have the nastiest attitude. Please don't send anyone you love to the Bucyrus Campus
