It's hard to provide a review, mainly because I can't be certain that I even received service…read more Sounds strange I know. I took my work trousers into the cleaners on a Thursday afternoon (10 pairs). I asked to have them laundered and pressed, as well as removal of one small marker stain. I was told it would be $9 extra for the "possible" stain removal, and that everything would be ready on Tuesday afternoon. I asked if Monday afternoon was possible, and was told yes. I was happy to hear, on Monday afternoon, that my trousers were cleaned and ready for pick-up. I arrived 30 minutes before closing and paid for my pants. I asked if the stain was removed, and was told that it was.....because there was no tag on the pants to indicate otherwise. Since everything was packed and tied together, I didn't want to unpack and check.....trusting them. The woman at the counter (both times) was nice and pleasant. However, when I got home and unpacked everything to put in my closet, I found that the pants looked like they hadn't been laundered......only pressed (maybe). There was lint all over all of the pants. But the biggest thing was that the wrinkles around the groin and upper legs, as well as near the pockets.....that trousers get from wearing them, were all still there on nearly all of the pants. They weren't subtly there, but fully there......so I highly doubt that they say water, nor an iron. They smell fresh, but that can be obtained from Febreeze or something similar. It does look like the marker stain was removed, as I can't find it on the beige pair of trousers.....and that pair is the one that looks pressed all over. Funny, right? Considering the order was $90+ and I'm not sure they were laundered/pressed, I can't give higher ratings. At a professional, experienced cleaner, they wouldn't give items back that were wrinkled, nor with lint. I have to say, I'm newly returned to the Berkshires from CA (where I had 10 years of perfect service at my dry cleaners) and am disappointed with the business offerings and quality. I went to Nifty because the Williamstown Royal Cleaners also provided poor service on dry cleaning my suit.

The Western Laundromat in the heart of a residential/college neighborhood is coin laundromat…read morelocated in the corner of Western Ave and Quail St. The machines (dryers, washers) are abundant and the hours serve early birds and night owls. This store has two change machines that accept bills between $1-20, and one soap, detergent dispenser that costs 75 cents. It also has a refreshment vending machine (sodas). This location is safe, cameras operating in the store, right across from the bus stop where there are always people around. There are seats for the wait. If you get hungry there are several restaurants around: (Burger, pizza, calzone, mini market, Jamaican, Chinese, Spanish, Washington Tavern and Stewart two blocks away on Washington Ave) all less than 1-2 mins walk from the laundromat. The machines are mostly operating well but here and there malfunction strikes in which the dryer won't be doing enough, or the quarters may jam, but you can be creative and hit the machine (most common solution) which often works. The washer will not rinse, you know when you are not having your day, sh$t happens. The place is clean, the owner/manager: male is sometime around and he can be quite friendly or quite an a$$@. There is no bathroom in the premises but you may hit the burger place restroom if you had to. There is a sign hanged on the wall that guides-you/give you hope to get refund when dysfunctional machines affect your clothes and money. Button/dress up ladies and gentlemen

I wish i could give this place 0 stars, 1 star is too many…read more I stopped going here about a year ago when I had multiple loads not drain in the wash, I had to wring all my clothes out by hand. Recently I decided to give it another go. I had a few successful laundry trips and I was feeling good. Not for long. The last time I did my laundry here the floor began flooding everywhere, my 3 load washer did not properly drain or spin. I had to wring 3 loads by hand. all the other patrons were in the same position. We were standing in an inch of water with sopping wet loads of laundry. Of course the place made a fortune on the driers as my load took forever to dry. To make matters even worse, after hand wringing my towels and drying them for nearly two hours, they had a funky smell from the gross machines. never again, AVOID THIS PLACE
