Dr. Stephanie Lum is the best ever. I am in lala land after her treatments…read more I found her on Yelp immediately after moving to Marin and hurting my lower back from lifting boxes. My lower back has been a weak spot of mine, and her customized treatments really helped for weeks. I continued to see her for back issues, but have also gone for wellness tune-ups and allergy related issues, and she's just as skilled at treating those concerns as well. My back is so much better thanks to core strengthening exercises, so I took a long break from visiting the office, but recently returned when my neck was kinked up. Dr. Lum remembered almost everything about me and my body! Such an amazing presence and bedside manner she has as well. At one of my last visits I was dealing with some anxiety, and she placed the needles to calm my central nervous system, and I couldn't believe how well it worked. I was in such a peaceful state that I could hardly drive or talk afterwards. I love that her treatments are so tailored to the concern at hand, and she really takes her time to understand what's happening with your body. I wish that all trips to the doctor were like this.

I cannot recommend Montecito Chiropractic Center highly enough…read more After trying several chiropractors in California over the years, this is the first time I can genuinely say that I am completely satisfied--not only with the treatment, but with the entire approach to understanding and improving my overall condition. From the beginning, Dr. Altan impressed me with his professionalism, knowledge, precision, and attention to detail. What makes his approach so different is that treatment doesn't simply begin with an adjustment. There is a thorough evaluation first--including X-rays, posture analysis, spinal alignment, range of motion, the movement and position of the head, flexibility, and other assessments designed to understand what is actually happening with your body before deciding how to treat it. For me, that makes an enormous difference. I don't feel that I am receiving a generic chiropractic treatment; I feel that there is a real understanding of my individual situation and a clear purpose behind what Dr. Altan does. Most importantly, I can feel the results. My overall condition has improved, and for the first time after my previous experiences with chiropractic care, I truly feel confident that I am in the right hands. And I absolutely have to mention Tanya and Kenya. They are amazing. They bring warmth, kindness, professionalism, and genuine care to the office. From the moment you walk through the door, you feel welcomed and looked after. The combination of Dr. Altan's expertise and Tanya and Kenya's wonderful personalities makes the entire experience exceptional. I have already recommended Montecito Chiropractic to friends, and some of them have started going there as well. I would never recommend a healthcare practice to people I care about unless I truly believed in it. Dr. Altan, Tanya, and Kenya--you are an incredible team. Thank you for the professionalism, the kindness, the attention, and especially for making a real difference in how I feel. Without hesitation: five stars and my highest recommendation.

I was in a bad car accident in 1997 and have had problems with my neck, shoulder and back ever since. Over the years I've seen dozens of chiropractors, massage therapists, PTs and body workers. I've tried rolfing, foam rollers, MELT method & yoga. You name it, I've probably tried. But it wasn't until I found Caralina that I've started to see real progress. Before giving me an adjustment she gives me about a 30+ minute deep tissue massage - where she actually digs (I mean that!) into the places I've only wished others would go, to reach the injured tissues that are causing my pain and need the most healing. Then after the adjustment she continues with the deep tissue work. This is a woman who knows what she's doing.... so if you need body work - OF ANY KIND - go see Caralina. She is intuitive, talented, a true pleasure to work with.
