Had to stop by and check out our girl Veronica at her new home. Of course it's one of the sister properties from the membership so it's alway nice to make sure we stop by. A beautiful winery as you're driving in and is located along the main strip of vineyards along Alamo Pintado Road. Decent size parking lot. The property itself isn't too big with the tasting room. It's a small space but majority of it is outdoor looking out to the vibes. A nice cottage with a good amount of outdoor seating. Beautiful grassy knoll both right when you walk in and next to the patio and barrel room. Check in pretty easy. This was actually the first time we've been inside the barrel room for a tasting as it's usually on the covered patio. A cute room that seemed like it would be used for private events. Cute and cozy and a nice change. It was utilized for Foley wines which was a nice addition. We're not getting into that whole situation.... Regardless whenever we're here, the visit is always great. Just sitting on one of the patio chairs and just taking things in is alway a nice touch about this place. There something that's calming sitting on that grass with a nice glass of something. The wine on the tasting flight is alway great. Everything we alway tasted has alway been good. That's a good sign. Even if it's just the two of us or with a group, everyone has alway been satisfied. We recently spent a few days in wine country and honestly, it was one of those trips that just sticks with you. One of our favorite stops was Lincourt Winery in Santa Ynez, such a beautiful, relaxed spot with amazing views. But what really made it special for us was seeing a familiar face. Our host, Veronica P., had actually been our wine guide at Foley the year before, and it was so nice to reconnect with her. She is seriously the sweetest--so welcoming, down to earth, and just really easy to talk to. You can tell she genuinely cares about making your experience a good one, and she made us feel right at home. We don't have a ton of wine knowledge, but she explained everything in a way that felt approachable and never once made us feel out of place or intimidated. She also did an amazing job guiding us through the tasting, highlighting wines she thought we'd enjoy and really listening to what we liked. We ended up purchasing a few bottles and felt great about it, never pressured at all. It felt more like she was validating our preferences than trying to sell to us. It didn't feel like a typical tasting, more like catching up with someone who loves what they do and wants you to enjoy it too. We enjoyed her presentation so much that we're already looking forward to seeing her again at our next wine tasting. The wines were great, the atmosphere was peaceful, and the whole experience just felt easy and unpretentious, which is exactly what we were hoping for. Definitely one of the highlights of our trip. The pictures that I've seen online of this place makes this place look better than it really is. I think one of the things that rubbed me the wrong way was when we checked in for the tasting. We didn't have a reservation, but clearly they had lots of space to accommodate us. However, don't make it seem like that they couldn't fit us in. That's how the hostess presented themselves to us. Don't be pretentious. When we parked, there were instructions in the parking area to find a red umbrella for check-in. I still think the best thing about this winery was the live entertainment. A cute spot for a wine tasting. It's not fancy, but it had the best selection of wines we tasted on our trip. I thought "Lindcourt" had a "d" so we couldn't find it on Google, but we got lucky and saw the sign as we were driving to Los Olivos. Our server was friendly and knowledgeable. All the wines were excellent, but we especially loved the 2024 Sauvignon Blanc, which was an extra pour, so you'll need to ask for it, as it's not on the tasting menu. read more

Holiday at the Estate is put on by Foley winery and the Foley Society. In the valley, customers can go to Foley, Firestone, or Lincourt and receive a wine tasting and food pairing. The food options at Lincourt this year were really good! They had different pizzas, but not your standard toppings. My favorite was the butternut squash pizza! It was raining outside, but the staff handled it really well and made sure customers were covered and heaters were provided. The staff helping us actually offered more tastings when we finished the ones provided. Being a member of the Foley Society, we were able to get 4 complimentary tickets. Just be sure to book your reservations in advance. The event booked up so fast that we couldn't get tickets to Foley- only Lincourt and Firestone. read more

The staff is now nothing short of amazing and I love that it is a historic "Sears House" purchased from a catalog over 100 years ago from the Sears Catalog. There is a registry of surviving Sears Houses. Quite an interesting historical story. Lincourt is one of a dozen or more Foley wineries and being a member of any gives you membership privileges at all the others. They are open arms to me in Sonoma, Napa, the and several Within 40 minutes of me. Consistently great wines that seem to improve year after year. I'm excited that this long overdue updated review will raise their Yelp score a tiny bit. They deserve it. read more

As a Foley Society wine member, Lincourt Vineyards was the only local family property I hadn't yet been to. Now I am asking myself why I waited so long! Perhaps it's because I'm not a huge fan of Chardonnays and Pinot Noirs--which the Santa Ynez Valley is predominantly known for and they offer at Foley Vineyards in Lompoc. To my surprise, Lincourt is hidden in the beautiful Ballard Canyon among the few remaining farms and stables. Upon our group's arrival, I was surprised by the fact that they were pouring a Carmenere, Rosé, and ending with a Cabernet Sauvignon. Very different from my expectations. We sat under a gazebo and we spoiled to have Julian be the one helping us out. He was super welcoming, knowledgeable about the Foley properties, and great all around. After all, he dealt with our questions and silly banter which was much appreciated. If you seek a pleasant property outside of downtown Los Olivos with approachable wines and an affordable price point, be sure to make a reservation at Lincourt Vineyards. read more

As for the wine, we are not big on white wine, but after tasting the Three Sisters Chardonnay, let's just say, we're not ready to be converts just yet, but we are definitely convinced! It's the best white we've ever tasted! The service is good, but disappointed to find out they were out of stock on munchies, which I absolutely need whenever I go wine tasting (or else my stomach will revolt) so keep that in mind if you have that issue. Overall, it was a fabulous experience and we loved all the wines we tasted, but most of all, our dog really enjoyed it! We might even be able to off-leash him (wink) and they probably wouldn't mind. I love Lincourt. Every time I come the customer service is so good! Welcoming, friendly and knowledgeable. The scenery is nice. Love the Sears house and there's always a nice area to sit and enjoy your tasting. Kid and dog friendly too. I'm not a big Rose person but their Rose is perfect blend. Lincourt Vineyards is located in Solvang, that is a sister winery of EOS in Paso Robles. My husband and I became recent members of EOS Winery and as club members, we are able to get free wine tastings at the sister properties. This winery is dog friendly and the grounds are beautiful. We were looking forward to trying this place but were very disappointed with the service we had. We came on a Saturday afternoon around 2 pm. There were 4 ladies just standing around behind the counter when we came into the tasting room. They were just talking among each other, ignoring us. So I spoke up and asked if someone could help us with a wine tasting. One employee said she will. She took my husband's club card and took a very long time setting up our wine tasting. She also would not give us our card back when asked. She said that the register currently is being used because another employee is working a very large order. But she didn't bother to tell us this until much later. Don't know why this employee was not forth coming. When I had asked for a cup for water (as there is a water dispenser right outside of the tasting room but the customer took the last one), she said she would give me one but made me wait a long time for one. And when I had asked for a second one, for some reason, she gave it to my husband instead of me, even though I was right in front of her. This employee ended up just ignoring us as she poured wine into our glasses. She didn't bother to say much about the wine and just seemed more interested in looking at the one computer behind the counter. This was probably one of the worse wine tastings that I have ever had. Is this how you treat your wine club members? You are better off going to one of the many numerous wineries in this area and in Santa Ynez Valley. read more

We used to live on the Central Coast many years ago (moved to Sheridan, WY in 2007), where wine tasting in Los Olivos was one our favorite activities to do on the weekend. My husband surprised me with a 26th anniversary trip to visit the coast of CA, and we stopped by the Lincourt vineyard this afternoon after signing up to become wine club members at the Firestone vineyard. We were abruptly turned away. The person who was at the reservation podium told us that there was a private party and that they were not able to accommodate us with wine tasting. This is the only day we set aside on our vacation to enjoy the various vineyards in Los Olivos. We are incredibly disappointed by the lack of care and concern by one of Lincourt's employees. He was rude and dismissive. We will never visit this vineyard again, nor will we take the time to visit, any of Foley's winery's as we were also turned away from the Foley vineyard off of Hwy 246 because we did not have a reservation. It might behoove Foley to not place "walk-ins welcome" on their signs at the entrance of the vineyards if they don't intend on honoring this statement. We will be cancelling our membership in the near future. read more

The venue was pleasant and welcoming. All tastings are outside, but the tables were shaded and cool despite the heat. You're encouraged to bring your own food if you'd like, and several people did just that, everything from snacks to full meals. The winery is also dog-friendly. Robin, our pourer, was knowledgeable and attentive. You can purchase wines by the glass or bottle or opt for a tasting flight of five pourings. We did the latter, a flight of three whites and two reds, with a bonus pouring on this day of a rosé. We discovered several wines that we enjoyed very much and bought a bottle of our favorite, the Courtney Chardonnay, to take with us. We'll be back next time we are in the area! read more

This is my absolute favorite winery. Friendly, knowledge staff and wonderful wines. We have visited several times, and are members of the wine club. This review, in particular, was for our visit yesterday. My family and I visited in our first public outing (aside from a grocery store visit) since the Covid19 pandemic. We made reservations ahead of time, and arrived around 12. There was shaded seating throughout it the property, and tables were spaced far apart. We had plenty of privacy while overlooking the wonderful grounds. The staff was kind and attentive, and everyone was wearing masks when not seated. I also watched as they deeply sanitized spaces, including chairs and tables between parties. They also did a careful job of escorting us to our table so that we did not need to walk directly by other's eating. We felt incredibly safe, and truly enjoyed our time. Thankful! read more

We have been enjoying this winery for many years, and will strongly recommend a visit. The grounds are beautiful with lots of seating and views of the vinyard. The tasting room itself is an old Sears Craftsman home, and is really cool to poke around in and look at the design and details. Because of COVID, tastings are by appointment and are held outside, but they have a large covered patio area and lawn area. If you remember the Little House on the Prarie show, the barn on site was used in that series. Their wines are good, but we particularly like their steel chard and rose. Both are excellent patio wines to drink with fruits and cheeses. I'm not a rose drinker by nature, finding most of them way too sweet, but this is a very dry and tasty wine. First off, the tasting fee went up to $30pp when it used to be $15 not long ago- while I understand Covid happened, not all of us got a 50% salary increase. Second, the host was so uninterested and served us ridiculously small pourings without even mentioning any information about the wines. I really regret coming back and giving them my business. As a member of the 20-ish Foley family of wineries, Lincourt offers a very nice tasting experience with friendly and attentive staff, scenic views, and mostly Chardonnays and Pinot Noirs at reasonable prices. For $15 you get to taste about five wines. There is plenty of parking and a big bathroom (in a barn). It's a little out of the way from Los Olivos but there are several other wineries a stone's throw on the same street. You can even ride bikes between them. read more
