I hope Yelp adds a zero star option for reviewers. When you plan on coming to the United States in specific to pursue education the only thing you think about is REPUTATION and QUALITY and these concepts are by far zero at Lincoln University. Lincoln University Oakland CA, USA is no longer accredited by the Accrediting Council for Independent Colleges and Schools (ACICS) body and the US Department of Education and CHEA. Lincoln University being listed or found on one of the mentioned bodies database doesn't mean that the school is accredited, it only means that the school is listed as a licensed organization to operate within the United States. Also, the new pending status of accreditation as they claim doesn't authorize them to accept new students nor does it accredit any program. The main reason of this is that ACICS lost its recognition from the Department of Education during 2016 and as a result all colleges and universities under them lost or dropped their recognition and accreditation as well. Since that time many students enrolled at Lincoln University are having difficulties when getting back into the USA or applying for OPT or any other working category after they graduate from their schools. In other-words students will suffer to find a job after graduating from this school. Although, if this school is seeking new accreditation that doesn't allow them to accept new students till they get approved which will take years of hard work to do so. The vast majority of students studying at Lincoln University, CA are suffering this situation especially after leaving their families and jobs back home and paying thousands of dollars to seek reputable education and in return received nothing except false promises. Lincoln University Oakland is too good to be true and is by far offering the best organized SCAMMED diploma ever. For that reason, don't be fooled with those classy flashy YouTube videos you find. Don't even believe those ads or headlines that claims world class education and other crap. Don't be fooled with those nice building pictures on their website from downtown Oakland or San Francisco and think thats their campus. The truth is that they only have 3 buildings, the main building use to be a bank in the 1900 and looks like a vampire castle. The second building looks like a garage and that's for their imaging program. The third building used to be a massage shop and looks like a dirty ally in a bad neighborhood which is used as a library. I also must mention their classrooms that looks exactly like a sardine can. Don't send your loved ones to one of the highest crime zones in the USA (Oakland, CA). Don't be fooled by those bad grammar comments wrote by their students here or on their social media pages claiming it's the best quality school or other crap. Don't even look to those scammy websites showing that Lincoln University have a ranking somewhere between US universities. Believe it, Lincoln University is not on the ranking map and will never compete with any other school. The only real ranking they have is the highest rate of admission comparing to Stanford or UC Berkeley. Yes, that's true. Because when your admission requirements are below average comparing to others you will start filling classes with crap. I'm pretty sure that Berkeley and Stanford don't even know if Lincoln University exists. Don't think or believe that this Lincoln University is affiliated or a part of many other Lincoln Universities campus's in the USA or around the world. It's a separate entity and by luck they have a similar name with many other reputable Lincoln Universities in the USA. Despite that I have graduated with a 3.8 GPA but will regret the day i joined this school for the rest of my life. My advise to you all is to save your time and money and look for a better alternative and run run away far from this place. read more

My time at Lincoln University has been nothing short of amazing. I am so proud that I am associated with this university at a time when the university is celebrating 100 years. The location of this university can't be better; 20 minutes drive to San Francisco, 30 minutes to Silicon Valley, and 25 minutes to UC Berkeley. Inspite of being a nationally accredited university, the tuition fees of the university are extremely affordable. Lincoln University has top professional faculty from the world's top universities like UCLA, UC Berkeley, USC, etc. The instructors I have had the pleasure of meeting are very professional and knowledgeable. I know many ex-Lincoln Graduates are working with Google, Apple, Accenture, Amazon, and Deloitte. You are not alone at Lincoln and the environment around you is encouraging and welcoming. The greatest advantage of Lincoln is very diverse, having international students from more than 50 countries! The general feeling at the campus is warm and intimate. I have met many people throughout my years at Lincoln that I remain in contact with today. The overall experience I had at Lincoln was positive and amazing. I had wonderful, attentive, and caring advisors who helped me to make sure that I would succeed. I am aware that not every university has the right environment for every student, but I think that Lincoln is good enough, diverse enough, and dedicated enough to give their students a great education. The President, Provost, Vice President, and the Dean of the university are very supportive, always there to assist students, and accessible unlike most of the universities where it is highly unlikely to get easy access with the top officials. Lincoln University is very flexible and accommodating. Lincoln offers merit scholarship and on-campus job facilities where many students get the opportunity to work 20 hours per week. I would recommend this University to anyone looking to have a good educational experience. I believe they have a lot to offer to students looking for their next step in life. read more

Lincoln University is one of the best Educational Institutions I have ever been in. I have studied in couple of countries ( England, Serbia and Australia) and I have never came across such friendly and helpful stuff, high educated professors, great opportunities and affordable fees. I am currently in my 2nd Semester, MBA program, specializing in HR Management and I am more then happy and satisfied with the services that I received from Lincoln University as an International Student. Till now I didn't know much about business. economics, maths, finance...etc. as I was a Fine Art Student studying in Central Saint Martins in London, one of the biggest and most known Art Educational Institutions in Europe, but I can assure you that I have already learned so much from Lincoln University that I can be proud of myself. Professors really do care to pass on their knowledge to the students, and offer extra help if needed. They understand how difficult it can be for International students coming to America to study. They indeed really do respect us. My point is if you are willing, interested and eager to learn and succeed in your future education this is the place to come and really learn something that is going to benefit you in the future employment. I'm currently taking post graduate classes at LU and I've had nothing but good experiences. To review an institution such as a University with the sentiment of being "right" in your opinion seems somewhat ignorant. A University is not a bar, or a coffee shop, where you can choose or not choose to spend your lunch or evening for me, my time at LU has been one of challenge and growth. However, I have found that when I go out of my way to help MYSELF, the University (teachers, administration) has been more than happy to help. * The faculty is excellent. They are all experienced professors, but also come with plenty of real world experience so they can call on that and not just traditional text book material. * A very diverse student body, with lots of different backgrounds and work experiences. This makes for very interesting class discussions and lively debates. All of my classes (along with great knowledgeable instructors) have provided me with an intellectual challenge. The University's goal: to provide an honorable private educational Institution, you are getting immense knowledge with affordable tuition fees. Their presence in the city is quite strong, and to be honest, as a student there, I felt nothing but proud to be a part of that. I am sure I am forgetting ten thousand things. I would want to say about my experience here, but in all, it was the right fit for me, and I guess that's what this is about, finding the right institution to fit your wants and needs. I like to rate this university 5 star. I know this is also Non profit oriented university, and if somebody who wants to work full time and study at the same time this could be the right match . I was taking class in New York where I had to deal with 30-35 students in one class. It was fun to be in class and learn so much. Some students were professional and some were just new and struggling a lot . After few class I moved to Bay area and transfer to the Lincoln university Oakland City Center and got new experience. I like the classrooms and staffs. I found in one class there are 6,7 or sometimes 8 students and compare to New York I like it. Staffs are helpful and friendly. There is a coffee /tea in one corner for students so they don't have to go outside in break time. Once a month they do International Club Meeting where you can be a part of it and share your experience. It is online/ onsite course so if you know how to study yourself without depending on professor you will do great. There are really good professors who teach in San Jose State, or USCF and some in UC Bay Area, It's all about how hardworking you are and how much free time you have. University is right in the heart of train station and safe as long as you don't go away from that center. There is a security guard too if you feel scared to go to the parking area or train station at night. You can always ask for help. I graduated from this school in 2017 with a Certificate degree in Ultrasound. I was able to successfully acquire all my required licensing and find a job within months of graduation. The ambiance and decor of this place is very quaint. It is considered a historical building, so a lot of the original architecture is still intact; it is quite interesting. The student body consists primarily of international students who make for interesting conversations if one has the time to get to know them. As with any teacher or school, students will only receive as much as the student puts in. All the resources are there, one just needs to find the right questions to ask, and the right places to look. The staff is there to help anyone with academic or sometimes even personal issues (like housing). There are those who come here for ulterior motives, and think they will get a free ride without putting in any effort or making any sacrifices. Some do not show up to class, some think they're still living in the comfort of their parent's homes. Let this be a fair warning to those who think life is smooth sailing: There are those who face adversity and find a way to survive, and there are those who are petty and leave 1 star reviews. read more

This school should be reported to the Homeland Security and USICS and be closed as soon as possible. This is by far on of the biggest immigration schemes in the USA. They are fooling their students with their low class and useless degrees and professors. I have tried to get a job after graduation and some responses were shocking. Some employers replied that '' Sorry we cant hire you because your degree isn't accredited'' another employer replied '' I advise you to remove your degree from your resume because of the bad reputation'' Imagine after all these years of costly studying this is the result. Being an International student, the first thing you consider when applying to a school abroad is tuition. Lincoln Uni is the most affordable Business school in the whole Bay area. Located in the heart of downtown Oakland, very close to two Bart stations (12th and 19th street), getting to class early considering Bay area traffic is no issue at all. Someone said "We are all different, which is great because we are all unique. Without diversity life would be very boring." With the level of diversity in the school environment, trust me, you ll feel like you are in a different country everyday. Good university if you want to gain education. Professors are good and highly qualified. They give you individual attention which is required. There are assignments and projects involved every semester. The campus is small as, if you want a big campus university and lot of people, hush hush everywhere then this university is not for you. If you want a low cost good education then go to Lincoln University. "Dont judge the book by its cover". This is a great place for a Doctorate' program. Connected to public transit, central to downtown Oakland, and nice facilities makes coming here to learn great for working professionals (and not so professional). Now that I'm coming to the end of my program, I'm feeling a bit sentimental about the time I've spent here and the great connections I've made with my fellow students, the faculty and the staff. The experience and the education is worth the price (no matter how much people will complain about the old building). This is the best university. You could/should make it yours. read more

Best decision of my life to go here. I got a fantastic education at a reasonable price & made lifelong friends. Almost everyone you meet here is impressive, going places or doing something meaningful with their lives. Learned a-lot from this diversified environment within 3years. This school has far too many international students who come here to work illegally. I personally met somebody who actually works at Wal-Mart, claiming that their experience would count in their OPT program. The administration is extremely abrasive and rude.
