First off I would like the thank the Pastor and staff of this school. They truly care about the…read morekids and instill the word of God and high family morals into them. This is an excellent christian school which our kids need and their education is amazing. Its a safe, loving and God fearing environment who put God, the kids and education as a top priority. To those who read Laurie M. review she is a complusive liar with major anger issues. She reviewed them negatively because the school wouldnt force me to leave a parking spot so she can have it. Which sounds crazy but it is the truth. She lied about the pastor and the staff whom she only met once to ask him to make me move and calls everyone ignorant when she doesnt get her way. Clearly she has serious anger issues and needs Jesus. Today she blocked me in forcing me to contact the school to talk to her. I am glad her son is in 8th grade graduating so I dont have to deal with her next year. If she would have asked me like a normal person to please move and explained why, I would have, instead she flipped me off and blocked me with her car. Again please do not let her post steer you in the wrong direction if you are looking for a Christian school to put your young kids in. I believe this is one of the best schools that the bay area has to offer. Thanks goodness for them.

We have had our children enrolled at Stewart School for two years now and have had a positive…read moreexperience. We appreciate that Stewart is a small school with an active PTA and parent community. Despite budget cuts that have impacted the entire WCCUSD district, Stewart's leadership has remained communicative and committed to building back and strengthening school culture. We made the decision to send our kids to Stewart because of the Dual Language Immersion program, and have not been disappointed- they both can read in Spanish and English and have been exposed to many cultural experiences that they would not otherwise have been.

He is excelling well above grade level and speaks, reads and write in both Spanish and English even though we are not a Spanish speaking household. My daughter also goes to Stewart and had the same teachers as he did. She is in 3rd grade with a truly great teacher, Maestra Reyes, and also excelling. The culture at the school is what drew us there. It's very inclusive and friendly. The PTA and admin staff hold events for the community to come together including academic nights, community potlucks and movie nights. Since this is a TK-8 school the students get to stay on the same campus making the transition to middle school a breeze. Stewart is a true gem in Pinole!

I look forward to seeing my son continue to grow in his learning and relationship with God as the years go on. Sincerely, David and Jessica Ibarra

This is a horrible school. Do not send your children here! Don't be fooled by cheaper tuition…read more They all learn the least challenging academics, what is far below standard for their grade level. Biblical studies take priority, as in academics don't go hand in hand and will even have students do work below their grade level. I had my family go here and their diplomas meant nothing. Good schools declined them because of the diploma. This school does not have the accreditation for the department of education. All children who graduate from this school will have a diploma that means less than the paper it was printed on. The diplomas from this school do not have the gold embossed seal, or any official seal from the government needed to show proof that your student has passed all department of education mandated requirements for all k-12 years. If you go to the gov's website for accredited schools, this one is not listed. That means your child did not graduate legally and officially in the eyes of the department of education. Prestigious universities and colleges will not accept your diploma. Your grades mean nothing when the academics are purposely made to look easy, Go to the Accrediting Commission for Schools or National Council for Private School Accreditation, or The Council for Higher Education of Accreditation, and you will find that this school is not listed. It will tell you in bold letters that this school has no accreditation. The college they recommend and send their students to is also not accredited. Golden State Baptist College is not recognized as well by the California Department of Education. You are wasting your money going here. Bullying is also something to worry about. The moment your child is not liked, they are bullied and even the adults will team up with the students to make fun of or bully. If I could vote 0 I would. They teach horrible values. Women and girls are seen as needing to be obedient and subservient to their male counterparts and elders. This is in their schooling material as work pages. Have you read their discipline policy? They tell you as parents to not trust your children if they come to complain about anything. It's all there. They also get demerits, which are also listed. Many are vague so they can easily control everything about the child in and off campus. It's there for you to read in their policies. Yes, many things done off campus can get your child in trouble. Including talking about kid things. I implore all parents to avoid this school at all costs! The children don't know that their future careers are in jeopardy. Please make the right choice and stay away. Pull your children out if you can. Attached is an actual diploma given to my student with no accredited seal from the Department of Education - State of California. They have very low graduation rates. It can be as low as 2-4. Please keep away from this horrible cult.

However, at Riverside, the teachers (instead of doing their job to create lesson plans, which is what they were supposed to be doing) choose to monitor the prep teacher and curriculum. What I've observed at Riverside is that the teachers lack classroom management skills, and instead, yell and intimidate. They are not teachers. They are bullies. They bully students and teach bullying as a role model. I actually saw Ms Hayworth say, "because you are bad, I will not teach." I heard a teacher say to the class, "You embarrass me." Ms Benda also ostracized a boy by making him sit apart from the rest of the class. This student told me "I want to kill myself." When it was reported, the teachers and principal said, 'he just wants attention." Ms Benda said, "I could choke you!" to a teacher who had told her class they would get out early before she had the chance to tell them. If you are a parent, beware of teachers Benda, Wong, and Hayworth. If your child has one of these for a teacher, you may want to sit in or help out to see how they function.

Prospect Sierra is a truly exceptional elementary school (K-4 at lower and 5-8 at upper) that fosters a welcoming and vibrant community where diversity is celebrated both among students and faculty. There is a strong emphasis on emotional intelligence woven throughout their curriculum which feels balanced with their focus on academics. The school provides a warm and nurturing environment for holistic development and has the support of learning specialists, a wonderful school psychologist, etc. The faculty is beyond exceptional and in my opinion what sets Prospect Sierra apart. The teachers and administration are all dedicated educators that embody PS's commitment to leading with respect and joy and creating an environment that fosters a love for learning. My daughter is genuinely excited and happy to go to school every day! Prospect Sierra has a very well-rounded enrichment curriculum that creates a rich and engaging learning experience. Specialty classes include drama, music, art, Co-Lab, and Spanish to name a few. With two teachers in each classroom we certainly feel the personalized attention and extra support. The afterschool program is also wonderful and my daughter has enjoyed participating in the afterschool program classes such as cooking, legos, chess, judo, etc.! The campus and the physical spaces including the classrooms and enrichment rooms are beautiful. The school does an exceptional job with communicating with the parents (via emails, a fabulous newsletter, etc) and there are plenty of opportunities for families to get involved (as much or as little as they want to!) including volunteering in the specialty classes, driving for field trips or leading a school committee. The school is also extremely committed to diversity which is woven throughout the curriculum. As part of the professional development, they recently sent a large number of the faculty to a POCC conference, there are family cohorts and racial cohorts for students including a Black, AAPI, LatinX, Pride and Swana cohort and lots of cultural celebrations throughout the year. Beyond 5 stars! We have had the best experience and pinch ourselves everyday that PS is a part of our family and our child's development.
