Later a student's best picture will be around the school for the rest of the school year. This school has a music program called sound minds. This program teaches you how to play a cello or a violin. When you get better they will take you on a field trip to play with other orchestras. You might even be able to see the California symphony have a rehearsal. What I'm trying to say is just that this is a great school to go to.

The classes are small, usually between 10 - 14 students, which allows plenty of attention for each child. It also gives the teachers ample time to monitor behavior which I feel is lacking in the public schools. The kids are taught from an early age to respect each other and the environment around them. I believe the school is above the curve in most subjects. The kids are fluid typers by the end of third grade. Spanish is taught as a foreign language from an early age. The principals are focusing a lot of effort introducing technology into the classroom as well. The school is very affordable relative to other private K-8 schools in the area. They also offer a sibling discount. The tuition covers everything. No fund raisers, door-to-door sales, or mandatory volunteer time. The school is run extremely effciently while maintaining a caring and comfortable environment.

This was very concerning and I did not like this happening on the first day of school. Then the second day of school, my daughter was put into the afterschool program which she's not enrolled in by her teacher. I have been asking since day, one to volunteer in the classroom and have gotten fingerprinted and have gotten no response about it. I have been completely dismissed. She picks other people to volunteer in the classroom, even though I was the only one to sign up at open house. I've been persistent about wanting to volunteer and no response. My daughter has been through trauma, and I shared this with the teacher on the first day of school and I feel I've been discriminated against. It's been quite upsetting and it was a big mistake to have my daughter register at the school. Staff are not understanding and can be very under mining.

Ms. Sidhu is phenomenal and potty trained both of my children when they barely turned 2! All of the teachers are kind, professional and very hard working. They make sure the children are happy and well taken care of. Holiday activities are awesome, and the kids have tons of fun during the Halloween parade and Xmas concert. Also, since lunch is provided, it's less stress the mornings for me! The staff treat you like family, and really get to know your child individually. A child can feel the loving energy from her right away. Every morning, she welcomes our child and other kids with her positive and caring energy. Our kid has never been sick from going to school and really loved mentioning the names of his friends. Families going to Sunflower show great care about their kids, which makes us feel this is a nice community. We always feel safe leaving our kid in Ms. Helen's care. Her backyard play space is a gem in the city! It never gets too sunny on hot afternoons, and early mornings have lots of sunlight. It would be nice to have more play structures and more naturally padded ground like wood chips or sand like at parks. But still the yard has good air as it is surrounded by big trees. We do not speak Chinese at home but the bilingual experience was valuable. Our kid started to learn and say simple Mandarin words. He will soon forget about Chinese once he stops hearing it but we believe the experience will never leave him. It is a great thing that Sunflower provides lunch. Our kid learned to use utensils very well after attending Sunflower. Ms. Helen can always let us know what was for lunch. In my opinion, if the school can post a lunch menu weekly, moms like me would really appreciate it. Our kid enjoyed his time there every single day! We love Ms. Helen and her little school!
