Doctor Stowell examined me and quickly diagnosed my condition. The Dr ordered an MRI and prescribed medication for my ailment. I returned a couple of weeks later after the MRI and the doctor reviewed it. The doctor recommended I do not have a knee surgery . Instead he recommended I get a cortisone injection. I have been pain free for about 6 months. I returned several months later for pain in my heal. The examining foot doctor diagnosed plantar fasciitis and ordered physical therapy. The therapist indicated that the fasciitis is a result of chronic tightness in the calf muscle. The therapist performed a muscle relaxation massage on the calf and several stretches. Those exercises worked great!!

I waited nearly three months to see Dr. Richard Lee Stowell, under the guidance of my physical therapist. When I finally got in, the visit lasted barely five minutes, with no meaningful examination, no new information, and no real plan. Instead, I was referred for a $500 MRI at Post Falls Emergency Hospital -- a facility the news is currently spotlighting for billing and arbitration practices. I later learned this MRI referral was tied to OSL and its partners, something that was never explained. Privacy was another major issue. During what should have been a confidential consultation, eight different people came in and out of the room with no introduction and no request for my consent. I did not agree to discuss my personal medical information in front of them. Despite being told to "come in ASAP" because the condition could be serious, the follow-up appointment was pushed out another 3-4 weeks, first to August 25 and then to August 27, with no explanation. The urgency they expressed simply wasn't reflected in their actions. When I finally emailed saying I would not be returning, the office manager called twice -- once to apologize and once to offer a refund of the $250 I paid upfront, asking me to come in and sign for the release of my records. I signed the release, but the imaging from the follow-up was never provided to me. Later, I received a letter stating the clinic was "terminating" me as a patient, even though I had already ended the relationship myself. The letter had no clinical purpose and felt like after-the-fact paperwork cleanup rather than genuine medical follow-up. This wasn't a simple scheduling mix-up. In my experience, it was a pattern: * Urgency stated, then ignored * Patient privacy overlooked * Administrative promises not kept * Records handled questionably * A referral pipeline tied to a facility now in the news for its billing practices Northern Idaho patients deserve better -- better coordination, better privacy, and better follow-through than what I experienced here.

I have a bad back and some screwed up hips and Shirley was an absolute gem. I am telling you. She is a MIRACLE! When you enter her establishment, it smells refreshing, there is a big photo of a window looking at the sea and some of the best spa music. She poured me a glass of water and we sat and discussed all the ways she was going to work on my body. She is a holistic soul and believes more in the nature of how everything in the body works and it shows in the way that she massages you. I wanted to do 30 minutes but I am so happy we did like, 80 minutes. I got all cozied in her warm bed and I am telling you she focused on every part of my body because that is what we talked about. She almost seemed like magic because she was able to relieve kinks of stress I did not even realize that I had. She has hands of gold and knows exactly what she is doing. As mom's we don't focus on preventative care as a form of self care and this was pure self care. It was a mental, physical, and emotional session of stress relief and I am so dang thankful. After just a couple of visits with Shirley, I no longer need to take ibuprofen several times a day just to function. My back is no longer the first consideration on whether or not I can do something. I used to get massages on a regular basis just for relaxation and to relieve some minor aches and pains that come with sitting in front of a computer 40 hours a week. Shirley is different from any other massage therapist I have used. She explains what she is doing and why, and sends you home with stretches and movements to do to make the most of your session. I highly recommend Shirley. She is a caring, compassionate and skilled massage therapist.

GET YOUR PHYSICAL THERAPY SOMEWHERE ELSE! This place has been terrible to work with from the start…read more Took several weeks to even get any assistance to onboard as a customer, they clearly have no sense of urgency in having new patients or customers. Once I was there, he staff was very unwelcoming, and took them several minutes to even figure out how to onboard me as they there appeared to be untrained staff. They dont provide reminders for appointments like typical businesses would. On a particular situation which wouldve been my second appointment I decided to cancel all my appointments due to them having service that left much to be desired, unfortunately because my appoints were made as soon as they started and me not being available to call to cancel the appointment as i am off after they close; I didnt have the opportunity to call 24 hrs ahead of time to cancel the appointment. Now my 3rd and second appointment were scheduled back to back so the one time waiver for the fee applied to the Third appointment of the days when i called. I called and spoke with them several times there was never anyone that was remotely capable of helping me get this resolved and it took an angry text message to get them to finally call back after one of their higher ups finally saw it. Their "manager' Jessica Orr finally called me back and after explaining the situation she only kept providing discrepancies that only made her and her office more incompetent. Now after reviewing the medical bills that were charged to my insurance this further proves how much of a scam this place is: i visited the PT once and billed an amount of 480$ (96$ of which was the Medical Evaluation). After the Eval which was the only insightful meeting, They gave me 3 breathing exercises, nothing else. The bills charged were "Therapeutic Exercises" for $44, "Manual therapy" for $42, "Neuro Re-education" for $114, and "Therapeutic Activity" for $40. 3 Breathing Exercises that the PT instructor printed from a web page. In essence, they billed my insurance 5 different times for the same thing just by changing the name on the 3 breathing exercises. Paying $50 late fee to never step foot in or refer anyone to this business is money well spent. Save yourself the Trouble!
