I just had a TKA a little over a month ago, and for those in the know, a TKA patient has to wear…read moretorture devices called compression hoes for over a month! The ones provided by my surgical center were not great, so someone suggested getting better quality and told us Access had a great selection. They do, by the way. They have every type of compression sock/hose you could ask for. However, that alone doesn't warrant a 5-star rating. What does warrant a 5-star rating is outstanding service! We've been there twice, and both times one of the employees followed us back to the compression hose section in the back to help us sort through options. They listened and were very knowledgeable, and on top of that, they went to the trouble of measuring my legs to make sure we got the correct size! That is super important because some of these things are pretty expensive ($40+), and if you open the package, they are not returnable (understandably). Looking around the facility on our way in and out, it looks like they have a pretty big pharmacy as well as a selection of general drug store items, as well as some bigger durable medical equipment (walkers, canes, wheelchairs, etc.). I hope I don't have to shop there for any of that stuff, but if I do find myself needing it, I will definitely check with them first!

Do not spend your money at this place! I bought a $54 pair of compression hose and they did not…read morework for my mother because they had feet in them and she needed the open toe. I told them when I was purchasing it that if they didn't work I would be returning them and they said as long as it didn't touch the skin it would be fine. I showed them that they had not been opened the sticker was not broken and the plastic was not torn and they still refused to let me return them. So now I'm out $54! AVOID THIS PHARMACY FOR MEDICAL EQUIPMENT!!!!!

Whatever you do, do NOT use this service. I got a new C-Pap machine from them. First the mask was…read morewrong, and the hose leaked water all over. So I took them back and exchanged them for another mask and a hose that didn't leak. Now I have a bill from them for $99.00 and change. When I called them to tell them this is wrong, they told me that each piece is billed individually. I said that the machine is useless without the mask and hose and was told they know that and that I would just have to pay for each piece...... They are a first class rip off. What good is a machine without the mask and hose. I give them a zero rating. Avoid them like they are going to rip off your money because they are.

We were not previous patients of this office, however, they got me the piece needed at no charge. When his machine told us it had outlived it's motor, I contacted his doctor and they put an order for a new cpap machine in to Lookout Medical. I received a call his new one had been approved, we just needed to pick it up. We couldn't go because we had Covid. Later in calling to set up a time it was 4:58pm and I thought they probably won't answer. They did and I even held for the lady after work hours to speak to me and set up an appointment to pick the machine up. These people have been so helpful, I don't know how anyone can complain.

This review is for the Hamilton location, I do not have experience with the Downtown Chattanooga…read morelocation. Please, do not seek medical devices from this company for any reason. Ask your doctor to order from another supplier. They do not care about their patients, and they apparently do not know how (or want) to communicate with doctors or Medicare. My mother had to change from a CPAP machine to a BIPAP machine recently after her doctor had determined the CPAP she currently had was not sufficient for her type of apnea. This CPAP was one our doctor ordered from this company, Medical Necessities. Medical Necessities did not have a BIPAP machine at the time, so our doctor ordered a BIPAP from a different supplier, and instructed my mother to swing by and return our CPAP to Medical Necessities. So far so good at that point. Everything from this point has been an awful experience. We noticed that my mother had been charged for January and February, which would be fine if it was supposed to be an out of pocket expense, but this was per her doctor covered by Medicare with no out of pocket expense. We tried calling the call center where we spoke with an agent named Regina. Regina told us they would not refund the charges. We asked them if they had a record of this being sent to Medicare for billing, but the only information they said was it was "pending" with Medicare. I'm not sure why we were directly charged when this was already pending with Medicare, but we tried to go ahead and start the return process for the CPAP despite the refund process being a headache. Regina advised we would need to sign an "Against Medical Advice" form to be able to return the CPAP. Thinking this was outrageous, because our doctor informed us to return the CPAP by his diagnosis and his direction, we advised we would not be signing this. Regina then advised to us they could not accept a return without this. My mom and I both were immediately very confused. It is not AGAINST medical advice if the doctor directed us to perform this. When we called our doctor back, they advised us not to sign this AMA form and to physically go to the location and start the return process. My mother and I went to the Hamilton location. We spoke with the front desk lady named Christy. She was immediately rude to my mother asking if she had an appointment to return the CPAP. My mother had called ahead and asked if she could return the CPAP, though I don't know who she spoke with over the phone, and they told us we could come by after their lunch hour ended, I believe at 1:30 pm. We advised we did not have an appointment, this was not mentioned to us over the phone. Why we would need an appointment to return a device didn't make sense, but we pressed on regardless and advised the above and our doctor's direction. Again, we were told this time by Christy that we needed to sign an "Against Medical Advice" form in order to return the CPAP machine. I advised to Christy we had already been over this on the phone, we are not signing an Against Medical Advice form because this is my mother's doctor's direction. They advised us not to sign this because it could cause issues with Medicare, which apparently this company has issues with or issues billing through. Christy became aggressive and advised it was their company's policy to have this for returns, or to have our doctor send over a medical release form. This was the first time we had heard a need for a medical release form to return the device. My mother started crying and asking if she could call her doctor's office to see if they had sent over a medical release form and Christy refused to do so. She started screaming at my mother, saying that she saw notes on her account that 3 people had told her to sign an AMA form and that they're not taking it back without this or a medical release. Even though this isn't true, we had only spoken to one person (Regina,) that's beside the point. This behavior and lack of empathy for their patients whose lives are dependent on this equipment is unacceptable and honestly disgusting. This company also seems to really want people to sign an AMA form and not go through doctors or Medicare, which is extremely shady. At this point we expect to be charged for February and March for an unused device due to their unwillingness to help, but we have contacted our doctor to advise of what we went through, as well as initiated action through other appropriate channels. Do not support this company, whether through insurance or your own money. Their policies are abusive, trying to persuade their customers to sign forms "Against Medical Advice," and their employees' behavior are disgraceful, arrogant and abhorrent.
