It is a small office, but they are very specialized and really take time with each client. Unfortunately I believe it is rare these days to have a doctor actually truly listen, and hear what the patient is saying. For my initial appointment the Doctor took over an hour just discussing things with me. Afterwards her staff took the time to really go over medication and special diet. Their follow up has also been amazing. This practice will make you feel like your health is truly a team effort to which you are a part of that team.

Went through a few until it was suggested that I go see Dr Buckingham and the staff at BFDC might be a good fit for me. They were right, the staff is very efficient, they check me in, bring me back, take my stats and I see the Dr in way less time than my family Dr. The best part is Dr Buckingham seems to have the natural skill of looking at my pumps stored details and comes up with a decent plan of what what needs to change in minutes. It's pretty impressive. And while she's doing all this, she actually talks to me and wants my input on what my thoughts are about keeping my diabetes under control. You have no idea how hard this is to find. Hopefully, she has no plans on retiring any time soon.

I have never been so happy; I have had type 1 (juvenile) diabetes since 1990. I was devastated when I had to leave my pediatric endocrinologist in Toledo. Since 2006, the struggle began to find someone brave and funny enough to oversee my care for my adult life. After moving to Columbus in 2009, I had seen one, horrible, dreadful endocrinologist before almost completely giving up. At the suggestion of a cardiologist I worked for, he took one look at me and said, "I have the perfect recommendation for you. You will love her." Wow. I was blown away. Not only does Dr. Christofides care about your individual health plan (instead of treating you like every other patient), she was personable, out going, funny and dedicated to getting my health back on track. I must admit I have since disappointed her, by neglecting my health, but she is very understanding and forgiving. If you see anyone else in the area for your diabetes, thyroid, or osteoporosis issues - shame on you. Jump on the Christofides bandwagon, because it is one hell of a ride.
