Had seen 3 physical therapists and 3 chiropractors over those 2.5 years and none knew what to make of my issue after several months of treatment. Although I'm all for opening our minds and blending cultures, the fact remains that Chinese medicine is intricately tied to Chinese culture. Therefore, if you want to guarantee the doctor understands the process completely, I recommend finding someone who grew up with that culture. Dr. Grant has a small practice, but that adds to the relaxation. He understands what it is you need, doesn't hide behind semantics over what a symptom or disorder might be called, and knows exactly where to treat. Since I've attended him my daily headaches have become less frequent and much less intense, and my stress levels are always at their lowest after a treatment. I walk out of there feeling like I've just released tension through hard exercise even though I've been lying on a bed for 45 minutes listening to music. If you're looking for an acupuncturist within the Columbia/Ellicott City area, then I recommend calling up Dr. Zhang. Granted, it's not all without some discomfort, but no pain, no gain, right? Prior to beginning treatment, I had neck issues that would occasionally cause me to stop in my tracks (a few times per week) for a moment until the kink would sort of work itself out &/or I felt safe to move my head again. Additionally, I've been involved in multiple car accidents in my time and a slip-n-fall dating back to 1999. Getting involuntarily jostled around enough made its mark on me, but the aftermath of the fall included (compressed vertebrae) semi-annual flare-ups & muscle spasms, making life difficult all around for a few days at a time. Since beginning my visits with Dr. Steve, the neck issue has improved greatly, & the last time I felt a muscle spasm itching to rear its ugly head, it barely bothered me at all. Even my migraines have decreased in frequency & severity. Yay!! I can't even tell you how many times I've overheard other patients talk about the benefits they were experiencing. I think my issues are/were mild compared to them. I am extremely happy with the quality of service and healing process with 360 Physical Therapy…read more Whether Dr. Raj is speaking with me or any other patient, his kindness, concern, bed side manner, sense of humor, explanation of what is doing on with your treated area and how he maps out the plan of the day is wonderful. I was in the lobby, since I arrived early, and I heard him talking with an elderly lady about her treatment plan. His kind tone, patience, and warmth in his voice as he spoke to her about her situation was incredible. He was so respectful and was mapping out what she needed to do with her other doctors to make sure everyone was on the same page. It was heart warming. I first needed to go to Dr Raj for my right shoulder. Within a month of PT my shoulder was back to normal. Then I lifted something that was very light and tweaked it, so back to Dr. Raj. Withing 2 weeks it was fixed and I haven't had any issues since then. Then the right hip started acting up so started the process with Dr. Raj. It's been a few weeks and it is starting to feel better and the limp is almost gone. I still have work to do on my hip, but I know Dr. Raj will get me back to my normal hip health soon.

During the first visit Raj assessed the problem, explained in detail his findings and his recommendations (which he shared with my doctor too). After several visits, the pain was gone. He continued then with methods that helped me gain strength to prevent future injuries and helped me regain normal range of movement.
