On the company's intake form, I specifically selected that we wanted the entertainer to arrive in costume and that she would need to bring her own table. Neither happened. The entertainer arrived in jeans and a gray college sweatshirt with no company attire or costume, and without a table or even a chair for herself. She had only a small tray for her supplies, so I had to find a bench and figure out where to set her up. She was pleasant and the face painting and balloons themselves were fine, but there was very little engagement or presence as a party entertainer. Several guests didn't realize she was the entertainer, and I spent time directing parents and children over to her instead of enjoying my son's party. When I contacted the owner afterward, she initially apologized and acknowledged that she had missed my requests on the intake form and that the communication failure was on her end. She also explained that their artists normally arrive in company attire. I was then told that the person sent to our party was actually a trainee and that trainees do not bring tables, chairs, specific attire, or costumes. This was never disclosed to me before booking. Had I known I was paying $250 for a trainee with a substantially different level of service, I would have chosen one of the other entertainment companies we were considering. I understand that mistakes happen, and the entertainer herself was perfectly nice. My disappointment is with paying for one experience, receiving something very different, and only learning afterward that we had been assigned a trainee. Unfortunately, I would not book with this company again.

We decided on face painting, a glitter bar and time for entertainment. Gale was our assigned fairy; she reached out a few days before our event. The morning of, we found out very last minute that we had to change our venue due to rain and Gale was flexible and was right on pace - after a quick text to her, she showed up as the new location on time. She arrived in a very festive Encanto/Mirabel outfit; our location change ended up being to our home and garage. Gale led an entertaining puppet show (several other parents thought for a short while that her rabbit puppet was a real animal) - kids and parents enjoyed it! The kids loved her artistry with her glittery tattoos on their face and hands. Her balloon animals were also a huge hit. It was fantastic to have 1 person with so many great skills to keep kids happy. As my husband and I were running the party, we loved the fact that we were able to keep ~25 2 to 5 year olds entertained for the 3 hour party (2 hours during which Gale was there). It was the best decision to have hired her. Booking with the company was also very easy and organized; I highly recommend it and would do it again. Thanks Gale for making our kid's birthday special and fun, and to the team at Happily Ever Laughter for being so organized and thoughtful. Worth it!!

This is slandering MCC staff 3// I was texting Dulci and calling the performer throughout her arrival, trying to help her find the clubhouse and also trying to help her with the elevator (and direct her to where balloons are for entrance). Her stress came from being late to the party and not finding parking in the main lot, not from any unkindness toward her. What an outrageous experience trying to blame the parent and the staff when services provided wasn't up to par. I stand by my review - and I think Dulci's response is a great example of the type of gaslighting that will happen to you if you book through this business. [Original Review] This was quite a negative experience TBH. We booked a princess for a 5yo birthday party in Moraga about 2 months in advance and the beginning of the process was easy enough. It's a pretty standard booking. However, every single interaction after I paid the deposit was like pulling teeth. They got my name wrong. I had to chase down the entertainer. I never got timely confirmations (despite promises that I'll be contacted). A week before and 2 nights before and I'm still tracking down who the entertainer is. And the entertainer showed up ~45mins late to a 2 hour party. I've included screenshots of communications. I am shocked they have so many positive reviews - please reconsider unless you want to micromanage the entire process and be disappointed. However, I do want to be fair and did not give 1 star because the entertainer did finally show up and she did entertain the kids (although for 1 hour not 2 like I booked, but I still paid her $150 for 1 hour of her time). So, I would not book again through this provider. Dulci refunded me my deposit, but that doesn't give me the valuable time back for the birthday.
