She was an absolute hit with the kids and even some adults, and I leave this review for a few reasons: - Scheduling: She was super responsive via text when we reached out to schedule her. She was able to accommodate us, even though we we reached out just 3 days before the party. - Ease: She make the entire process very very easy. She brings her own table and all of her own paint. She made it easy for us to work with her. She arrived on time and ready to paint. - Quality of Work: She had incredible quality. She was able to paint a variety of different things for all of the kids. Some as elaborate as Spider-Man and other Zoo Animals. For my 4 year old's bday party, nothing could've been more perfect! All the kids loved the face paint (which was the best face art I've seen in a while!) and the balloon twists were a hit. I had reached out to Laura to inquire about my daughter's birthday party. However we were figuring out dates still (her classmates birthday is one day after and we had to coordinate dates with that family) and venue. I asked Laura about her cancelation policy, she did not respond to me. When I booked the venue and reached back out to her thinking she maybe missed my text, she responded with, "Hi, as a general rule, I don't move forward with clients who bring up canceling, just because I will be reserving this time and declining other people." If you're hiring a vendor you should be able to ask about their cancellation policy in case of sickness, change of date or any other reason. Purposely not responding is unprofessional and makes a lot of assumptions. Why not just make people pay a deposit like other vendors? Instead she tells me if I want to book with her now I'll have to pay up front. Pass. There are other easier to work with face painters in the Bay Area who let you ask questions. read more

On site, she went over safety and checking in about wearing face masks prior to setting up. having her for the party was a great asset; from face painting, body tattoos and ballon animals! When working with the children, she was calm and really pleasant. Laura is equipped with so many different colors, my favorite is her preset rainbow colors. I'm not sure what to say beyond "amazing in every possible way." I hired Laura for my 15th wedding anniversary party, with about 40 adults and 14 kids. Easy communication around negotiations, on time arrival. I'm not sure I've ever seen such beautiful face painting work. Basically every child and a lot of the adults had their faces or hands or arms painted. Laura's beautiful art added so much to our joyous occasion. As an added bonus, when she finally ran out of painting work, she switched to balloon animals and swords, which the kids LOVED for the rest of the night. Like others have mentioned, Laura was very easy to work with in terms of scheduling and confirming and she arrived on time and was set up and ready to go. Laura was great in managing the line and crowd of kids, but also very kind and respectful in asking them what they liked, what colors they wanted, etc. You can tell that she has a lot of experience working with this age range and kept everything calm and organized. Laura is a wonderful artist which is why I hired her for my daughter's 6 year old birthday party. I wanted the quality that I saw in her beautiful painting. We had about 25 kids that were 6 and younger at our party and part of her job is to manage the line of kids (usually while parents are elsewhere), instruct them on how to sit still and not hurt them while painting her beautiful art on their faces. This is a lot to juggle. I received compliments from many of the parents at the party. Laura is THE PERFECT person to make a child's birthday special. My three year old daughter loved the ballerina crown Laura painted, the beautiful flowers on her arms and feet (and has refused to have them washed off; fortunately the paint is skin-friendly). Each of the other kids got equally beautiful and tailored-to-the-child facepainted designs and they all loved it.
