Laura is amazing! Her work is wonderful. She's fast, friendly, and fun! I would never hire anyone else.

Don't look for any other face painter! Laura is AMAZING! We just had her at my daughter's 7th birthday party and she was great. All the other parents were commenting on how great she was with the kids and how beautiful her work was - and I couldn't agree more. I mean - really artistic, beautiful work! In 2 hours, Laura painted the faces of about 20 kids - and then she offered to do glitter tattoos as well (a big hit!). All the products she uses are first rate and they clean off easily as well. I cannot sing her praises enough. read more

Laura was an incredible presence at my daughter's first birthday party. She was an absolute hit with the kids and even some adults, and I leave this review for a few reasons: - Scheduling: She was super responsive via text when we reached out to schedule her. She was able to accommodate us, even though we we reached out just 3 days before the party. - Ease: She make the entire process very very easy. She brings her own table and all of her own paint. She made it easy for us to work with her. She arrived on time and ready to paint. - Quality of Work: She had incredible quality. She was able to paint a variety of different things for all of the kids. Some as elaborate as Spider-Man and other Zoo Animals. All of them looked amazing, and we had a party of happy boys and girls running around with great paint. It made for great memories, I'd recommend Laura to anyone for all of these reasons. read more

Laura did a phenomenal job with the kiddos at my daughter's 5th birthday. Her face painting was absolutely beautiful! We opted to also have her do glitter tattoos and bubbles, which the kids loved. Laura seemed to really enjoy talking with each child about what design they wanted and connected well with all of the kids. She was super responsive during the scheduling process; she answered all my questions and gave me all of the information I needed. I would happily use Laura again. read more

For my 4 year old's bday party, nothing could've been more perfect! All the kids loved the face paint (which was the best face art I've seen in a while!) and the balloon twists were a hit. Laura was professional, responsive and flexible since we had to change location due to rain. Even the teens and adults joined in the fun and had some face paint as well! All in all, great to work with Laura, definitely a solid 5-star review! read more

I had reached out to Laura to inquire about my daughter's birthday party. However we were figuring out dates still (her classmates birthday is one day after and we had to coordinate dates with that family) and venue. I asked Laura about her cancelation policy, she did not respond to me. When I booked the venue and reached back out to her thinking she maybe missed my text, she responded with, "Hi, as a general rule, I don't move forward with clients who bring up canceling, just because I will be reserving this time and declining other people." If you're hiring a vendor you should be able to ask about their cancellation policy in case of sickness, change of date or any other reason. Purposely not responding is unprofessional and makes a lot of assumptions. Why not just make people pay a deposit like other vendors? Instead she tells me if I want to book with her now I'll have to pay up front. Pass. There are other easier to work with face painters in the Bay Area who let you ask questions. read more

LOVE LOVE LOVED HER. She was so fast and easy to work with. Would 10/10 recommend to anyone hosting a kids party

It was easy to get in touch with Laura for a last minute booking. On site, she went over safety and checking in about wearing face masks prior to setting up. having her for the party was a great asset; from face painting, body tattoos and ballon animals! When working with the children, she was calm and really pleasant. Laura is equipped with so many different colors, my favorite is her preset rainbow colors. Her blending and free-hand drawings are great! Highly recommend for Oakland area parties. read more

Laura was amazing on all counts - responsive when booking, prompt and professional, and immensely talented. She was so great with the kids and her face painting was incredible. We'll most definitely book her again! read more

I'm not sure what to say beyond "amazing in every possible way." I hired Laura for my 15th wedding anniversary party, with about 40 adults and 14 kids. Easy communication around negotiations, on time arrival. I'm not sure I've ever seen such beautiful face painting work. Basically every child and a lot of the adults had their faces or hands or arms painted. Laura's beautiful art added so much to our joyous occasion. As an added bonus, when she finally ran out of painting work, she switched to balloon animals and swords, which the kids LOVED for the rest of the night. It hadn't occurred to me running around with long twisty balloons would be so much fun for kids, but it was great. I could not be more satisfied. read more

Five stars for Laura! She did face painting at my kiddo's birthday party. She was swarmed by 20 kids who were very excited to get their face painted but she kept them organized in line and gave them a number so they could play and come back to get their face painted while they enjoyed the party. I appreciated how each child could chose their own unique design. She brings a lot of artistry to her work- each design was so whimsical, bright and well done. We will definitely be calling on her again. read more

5+ stars! Am so happy we had Laura at our 3 and 5 year olds' joint bday party. Like others have mentioned, Laura was very easy to work with in terms of scheduling and confirming and she arrived on time and was set up and ready to go. Laura was great in managing the line and crowd of kids, but also very kind and respectful in asking them what they liked, what colors they wanted, etc. You can tell that she has a lot of experience working with this age range and kept everything calm and organized. Most importantly, she is very gifted at creating lovely face art that amazed all of the kids and adults at the party. After each kid was done, there was a collective "wow" from everyone. It inspired some adults to slip in at the end and feel the magic of face paint once again. It was the best part of the party and so glad we worked with her. Thank you Laura! read more

Laura just did my son's 6th birthday party. There were about 40 kids and a constant line the entire party. She couldn't have been more professional and accommodating with parents and children. All of the face painting looked great and she never rushed or gave any kids less time or attention because of the line. I was surprised again and again at how awesome each child's painting was. I would definitely hire her again. Her transition into the party and her departure was seamless and she knew just where to set up. Thanks Laura for the beautiful face painting! read more

We hired Laura for my daughter's 4th birthday party at MOCHA and she was amazing. She is so talented and her face art are so beautiful. Communicating and booking her was easy. She showed up, set up and got started on time! I highly recommend Laura. read more

Laura did a great job with face painting. The kids loved her. She is very talented and professional. Highly recommend!

Laura is amazing!!! I had the pleasure of getting some rad work done at the oakland veg fest. She's not your typical face painter in the sense that she has sooo many beautiful colors (even glitter) *_* and more creative than other fave painters I've seen. I came to her with a peculiar request and she was more than happy to oblige (hey, face painting is not just for kids). Everyone loved her and the art that she provided them with. I would highly recommend anyone to go to her to help complete your events for a totally fun and unique experience. read more

Laura is not your typical face painting person. Her artistic skills makes kids faces look incredible. We had Laura for my son's first birthday party, and all our friends complimented on how good her painting looks. I'm sure some of those that came to our party will have Laura for their own parties. Next time we have a party with face painting, we hope her schedule will be available so we can hire her again. Trust me, once you see her work on kids faces, you will not want to hire any other face painter. (You may even schedule your event around Laura's schedule :) Other face painting looks like standard carnival level in comparison. Thanks, Laura! read more

Her work was so nice and neat . Super cute for kids and adults. I am forsure going to book her for my sons party

I am so pleased to write this review! Laura was completely engaged with our guests and took such loving care and patience with our little ones that sometimes require a little more attention. Laura is a wonderful artist which is why I hired her for my daughter's 6 year old birthday party. I wanted the quality that I saw in her beautiful painting. We had about 25 kids that were 6 and younger at our party and part of her job is to manage the line of kids (usually while parents are elsewhere), instruct them on how to sit still and not hurt them while painting her beautiful art on their faces. This is a lot to juggle. I received compliments from many of the parents at the party. Laura was professional in my opinion, given what I experienced and what her job entails, and I support her beautiful artistry. read more

Facepainting art work was great however not very personable. Got complaints from some of my guests that she wasn't very approachable. And the henna quality super thin. She wrapped up half an hour earlier, even though we agreed to stay until the time I paid her. I agreed for her to go because my guest weren't very happy with her. read more

It's hard to find someone who is available at the drop of a hat to step in last minute at a kid's birthday party AND do quality work without charging a fortune - but when you find them? They're just about as close to a super hero (or super fairy?) as you can get! Laura is GREAT with kids, it's obvious she loves what she does, and does it with a beautifully artistic flair and style. Mermaid? Done. Full face tiger? No problem. She even documented the whole event and sent us photos from the party! The kids loved her fun fairy hair and wings, and she was polite, courteous and a pleasure to work with from a business stand point. Can't wait to hire her again for our next big children's event! read more

I've always liked skulls and have always been curious about getting my face painted with one. So, I stood in line among the kids and Laura painted an awesome skull and cross bones on my cheek. She didn't care that I was an adult or that I wanted something out of the ordinary. Because she's so talented, she didn't think twice before outlining an awesome skull and shading it with grays and whites. Thank you, Laura! You're equally good with kids and adults alike. read more

Laura isn't just a regular face painter.... Laura creates insanely beautiful works of art. She made my daughter's third birthday extra special with her artistry. Laura did face painting for a group of 5 and unders at my daughter's rainbow sparkle unicorn themed party. The designs were beautiful and done quickly which was great for short attention spans. We actually had several adults line up after the kids were done. Would recommend Laura highly! read more

Laura is THE PERFECT person to make a child's birthday special. My three year old daughter loved the ballerina crown Laura painted, the beautiful flowers on her arms and feet (and has refused to have them washed off; fortunately the paint is skin-friendly). Each of the other kids got equally beautiful and tailored-to-the-child facepainted designs and they all loved it. By the end of the party, even the adults were lining up for a flower on their face, some planets, or (in my case) a very cool-looking dragon mask. Very, VERY highly recommended. read more
