There was 6 in our group so we were seated upstairs where they have extra seating. The staff were all super friendly and you could actually hear everyone talk which makes a change (God I must be getting old). I went for the duck wontons to start, lamp shank for my main and sticky toffee pudding for dessert (January diet sorry what?!). All courses were great and I can't really fault aside from the parsnips being a little under done! Perhaps a little on the pricier side but I'd definitely recommend you this place out, maybe for a special occasion or something. Book in advance to avoid disappointment!

When you go here it's cosy but modern - a bit like stepping into your front room but there are dining tables and you don't have to do the washing up. The staff are friendly and when you get a tomato juice they bring it on a tray. How posh. I'm yet to be let down by this place, either on mains or dessert (the key component to a meal if ever there was one). Plus, I believe they make their own little boxes of chocolates should you wish to purchase such a thing. Very cute.

The wait staff was very pleasant and friendly. We particular liked their leather aprons. They have a lovely outdoor seating area too. On this occasion (I suspect we will return) we ordered from their lunch special menu which is $14.50 for one option from the starters and one from the mains. However, you also have the option to order a la carte (separate menu). Food and drinks were nice. We will definitely come back as there were some things on the menu I would like to try, like the Rabbit Gnocchi and Artichoke & Truffle Ravioli

So often it's both, but with Albert's the decor complements some visits there, and others not so much. Is that as confusing as it looks to me right now? Let's clarify... Hands down, awesome food. Like, seriously. Full marks. We came here with parents on a Thursday night (the new Friday as all you cool cats know) and sat down to some delicious wine, a smattering of tomato bruschetta with a criminal amount of garlic (thank the lord I didn't have to speak to anyone on a professional level the next day) and some hearty yet classy dishes. The boys wanted steak, and steak they got. As my friend's dad always says, if the steak's cooked properly, you don't need a steak knife, and these melted away like butter. The seafood menu was like a pick n' mix of fruits de la mer, and this is what the female contingent of the party opted for. My friend's mum went for the fillet of seabass served with a choice of vegetables, and I asked about the fish stew and the Thai monkfish curry. The kind waitress recommended the stew and I was so glad she did. Mussels in their shells, chunks of potato, a tomato sauce and huge hunks of fish had me almost too full to the brim for pudding, where we all decided we'd fight over a single pannetone bread and butter pudding. Rich, fruity and dense, the podded vanilla custard was the perfect partner. After reading Bex T's review I must concur wholeheartedly - Albert's is sleek and chic. The uber-modern clean blue lines would indeed feel at odds with a cosy Sunday roast dinner, although I do hear their roasts are legendary. It shan't put me off, I'll be back to try it. I'll just be sure to don my Sunday best when I do!

I took my parents here one Saturday afternoon for a little sit down and a hot drink after exploring the local shops. My Dad and I ordered a latte each and my Mum ordered a pot of peppermint tea. Both lattes came out at the perfect temperature and with a good amount of frothy milk on the top. Sadly, the pot of tea my Mum had ordered was a used pot of tea and was therefore half full and stone cold. It seems that one waitress had cleaned off another table and placed the finished with tea pot next to the freshly brewed one, so the wrong one was accidentally bought over. The staff were so apologetic and immediately bought over the actual freshly made pot of tea as soon as we noticed. After that minor mishap, everything ran smoothly and everything tasted just right. I really enjoyed the simplistic style with a few pieces of quirky artwork dotted on the walls. I'd say there's a kind of nautical theme running throughout the café, as there's ropes hanging from the ceiling and a few other seaside/fishing type items dotted around. All very cute and trendy. I'd recommend Rustik to anyone in the area, it's the perfect place (not at all like a standard high street coffee shop) to stop and have a quick drink. Also, the tables are spaced out, so you can enjoy a nice chat or catch up with friends or family without feeling like you're being listened in on.

On arrival we were greeted and made to feel very comfortable and welcome by both staff and regulars alike. Everything was great until one of the kids needed a nappy change. Having established where the baby changing area was this required us to either enter from outside or cut through the bar area which I thought was rather unorthodox but the barman told me to 'come through its ok'. This I did. On the return you would expect to take the same route. This we did. However another member of staff came over to the table and said ' It is unacceptable to come through the bar without asking' and while we tried to explain he just turned his back on us and walked away while we were still speaking to him. Prior to this I had ordered pizza and chips for the children. When they arrived it was the same member of staff bringing them over. He carried the pizza chips and cutlery/sauce box put them on the table. Glared at us, didnt speak and just stormed off. We did try to approach him again regarding the subject and once again he was not willing to listen and shut us down and walked away leaving us talking to ourselves. I found him to be very rude and to put it bluntly he just put a dampener on the whole day. I dont think I will set foot in the place again as I was left feeling angered and upset by his whole attitude and lack of respect for a paying customer. I run my own business and if i treat my customers in this way I would expect my business to fail and in this day and age thats not a chance any business should be willing to take. While I would not wish this on anyone trying to make a living they should be careful as to the type of people they employ and ensure their customer service skills are a lot better than we experienced.

The tables and chairs in M&A are a mismatch of odds and bods but this combined with the weird and wonderful wall art and trendy bar give the place so much character. After a few cheeky drinks down Burton Road my friend and I decided that our bellies needed food so we jumped in here in hope of finding a table. We were luckily enough (especially considering it was a Friday night) to find a table in the small back room. Until this night I'd only ever popped in here for drinks so I was happy to see a varied menu. I think they were possibly a little under staffed as getting served at the bar took an age but I can't deny that the food and drink were both perfect. I opted for a mushroom and pesto stone baked pizza, which had a crisp base and a perfectly crunchy crust. The sauce was very flavoursome and the toppings plentiful. I enjoyed every mouthful. To drink I had not one, but two Mai Thai cocktails (afterall it was Friday), which were both mixed to perfection, with a handful of ice, the sweetness of pineapple juice and the warmth of plenty of rum. I would recommend this little bar to anyone and everyone who is visiting the area.

I initially popped in in search of coffee and wifi to finish off some last bits and bobs for the day before heading over for the #worldofwine event but looking at the menu and being here on a Monday I decided I could make room for an early dinner! On Mondays they do burger and a beer for £10 - that's gets you your choice of burger, fries, slaw and a choice of beer from the Camden Brewery selection. I had the chicken and bacon burger with a pale ale, both lovely! The coffee I had before my food was average but then again they aren't claiming to be the next Starbucks. The chap working at the time I was in was extremely helpful and friendly as well! Most likely will be back on my next didders trip!

However, it was ruined by hoards of girls (no, I can't call them girls, they were 35-year-olds plus) prancing around in bunny outfits, very loud and equally terrible music and (probably) the most expensive drinks prices in Didsbury. It was too loud to talk, yet no-one was dancing. As much as I forced myself to try and enjoy my evening, I just couldn't get into the sluggy spirit (whose idea was it to include the name of a slimy invertebrate in the name of a trendy chain?) I'll be generous and give this place a couple of stars based on another occasion when I visited for a relatively pleasant quiet drink with a friend on a weeknight, and I saw Fizz from Corrie in there. Any night where I can tick another Corrie star off my list counts as a good night for me. I admit it, I'm very sad (you should have seen how happy I was when I bumped into Kirk on a night out!) I should probably note that my rating is based on my drinking and celeb-spotting experiences only, and not on the food on offer here, which my friends assure me is tasty and filling.
