Active Care Chiropractic came highly recommended to me. In November of last year I woke up with sever back and leg pain. The pain was so bad that I was crawling on the ground in tears. Nothing would touch it. I went to Urgent Care, who were unable to help. I went to the ER, which was able to give me pain meds, but that only masked the issue. I finally turned to chiropractic and the healing began! Dr. Fogg, DC is awesome! First he listened to me, really listened. Once I explained my symptoms, he made sure that he understood all of my issue then embarked on a treatment plan that not only included chiropractic but also physical therapy. This was the beginning, he also addressed the emotional part of my pain. He helped me realize that it was going to take time and would not be a quick fix. This is important! We so want a quick fix that we forget healing is a process. He treats his patients as adults and speaks to them, not at them! I was resistant as I have already taken so much out of my diet, but Aria assured me it would help. Honestly as someone who is a little fat I felt that she pressured me into it. It wasn't fun, but I did try it. Right away I felt terrible, so I emailed her. She told me this was normal and it would get better. The acupuncture was helping it but when I didn't see her my digestion went back to bad. After this I stopped seeing her as she went on leave. Unfortunately I followed this advice for years, thinking it would "fix me." I have since then learned this was terrible advice, as I have IBS. When I tired to each Paleo, I removed all of the grains from my diet and then added a lot of inflammatory vegetables. This was NOT the correct diet for me. I am now on the Low FOD-MAP diet and am better than I have been in years! Let me be clear acupuncturist ARE NOT DIETITIANS. DO not follow her diet advice. I did email Aria in the past year and ask why she would give me this advice. She did not take responsibility for giving me the wrong advice. I found her response very disappointing.
