Regarding optometrist Dr. Kim Lim.
Went on 10/13 for an exam. Doctor did the exam quickly but I felt not as thoroughly as he could have. He complained about kids mostly and I felt like he wasn't as focused on the exam as he should have been. Interrupted me frequently whenever I tried to speak. Got through the exam, got my prescription, thanked him and left.
Got new lenses and right lens was weaker compared to previous pair.
Followed through on 10/27.
Doctor behaved unprofessionally and was rather petty. Stated repeatedly "I rarely make mistakes. I can't work miracles." Kept working himself into a lather, getting defensive as a result and took cheap shots at me over the course of the visit. He again, as before, interrupted me when I would speak. For my part I remained calm and never raised my voice. He had asked to see my new glasses as well as old to demonstrate certain points. While re-examining my eyes I was holding my old frames. He grabbed them out of my hand, threw them down on table. Took my hand like a child and had me move the settings on the phoroptor. While I was wearing them he kept turning my glasses on my face to demonstrate a point about the tilt of the lens. Once is enough but kept doing it and rather roughly at that. He *kind of* addressed my concerns, explained several things regarding my eyes, blamed the people who made my new lenses for any problems. Then at his receptionist's desk he got me a copy of some papers, grabbed my glasses again and wobbled them about my face for no apparent reason, patted my belly, grabbed a sandwich his receptionist got for him and left.
In the end Dr. Lim was petty, rude, oddly defensive, disrespectful and demeaning. Completely unprofessional.
Wouldn't see again. Wouldn't recommend. read more
