We made use of the grill and picnicked outside most evenings. The fire pit on the beach is great for smores and gathering, and we had a blast taking the boats out to the island. Everything is very well kept - and if you have any issues, their team helps out right away. Theresa and Jama were amazing. The cottages have a great view of the lake and they have their own private beach. Wonderful for kids and families. Lake Spofford is one of the cleanest lakes around and wonderful to swim and play in. This was one of the most idyllic, bucolic places i have ever vacationed to. i loved it so much that…read morei extended my stay here for 2 extra days. the owners are lovely people and were very eager to make sure the guests were comfortable and happy. the farm house in which i stayed is clean, quiet and spacious. i got a private tour of their sugaring house to experience the process in which sap from maple trees is converted into syrup. i even got some samples!!!! i picked out eggs from their own chicken coop and cooked them into the best fried eggs i have ever had. i was also able to go camping on a large hill behind their home. there, i had the most breathtaking view of the green mountains, the farmlands and valleys in woodstock and its surrounding towns. i cant wait for another time to come back here. i will always remember this vacation and look back on it with great fondness

This bed and breakfast is in an old style New England home, the rooms are bedrooms you would stay in at an Air B&B vs hotel. Had a very relaxing ambiance that takes you to a simpler time. The property itself is beautiful. The inn keeper is very nice and she makes an amazing breakfast all with local ingredients. I highly recommend The Elvis which is a French Toast sandwich with bananas and peanut butter. Also comes with home fries and bacon (or maple sausage) and juice. Nice some style living room with a piano and guitar. Perfect for a relaxing. romantic and cozy weekend getaway. Being bedrooms you will hear some noise through the doors however because it is so small people are very quiet. The beds are insanely comfortable. If we hadn't just bought a new mattress we would buy the same exact ones they have.
