Last fall we needed to remove a large maple tree that was very close to our house with branches above our home. It had some rotting and we were nervous as to how long it would last. Henry came out and assessed the situation it and gave us a fair price to remove it. He explained that he was very busy, but kept in contact as removal dates changed due to weather. Henry and his team were professional, and they brought down the tree safely, piece by piece. We were able to keep some of the manageable logs that he cut to size to be split for firewood. He also left us the wood chips from the branches he chipped. He hauled away the giant pieces from the trunk and repaired the small amount of lawn that was disturbed in the process. We have used Carr Tree & Timber twice at our property -- the first was to remove a dead oak which was still standing and in a tricky spot, and the second time to create a path through the woods to give us easier access to Bald Mountain Brook. Henry and his crew created a path that followed the natural landscape and didn't disrupt any of the natural features. They used environmentally sensitive materials -- most from the property itself, I think, and has increased our enjoyment and use of the area without disturbing any of the natural features. I have contract Carr Tree & Timber for the removal of 8 large pine trees. Henry and his crew work like a high end watch. Effective, efficient and on the job. They made what I thought would be a very difficult process simple. It took two days. Their method of operation was well thought out, coordinated with Green Mountain Power for the disconnect and reconnect with minimal power interruption. Provided a generator to take care of freezer and refrigerator so there was no loss of food. I had a large tree limb fall on my shed. I called Carr Tree & Timber for an estimate and Nick was there the next day. Because I had so many tall trees to remove close to power lines, Nick recommended that the best way to go was with a crane. Henry, Nick, and the crew showed up with the crane and operator early in the morning for a full day of tree removal. They all worked together like clockwork. Carr Tree and Timber was contacted after we got a referral from a local forester. The scope of work included the removal of sixteen large spruce and white pine trees. Nick and Henry looked at the job site and determined a crane would required to minimize the chance of property damage and facilitate the removal of the trees.
