I am giving a 1 star specifically for the male owner because he is rude and has become very pompous and obnoxious. He rushes the clients and gives very bad rushed pedicures in less than 10 minutes skipping all the luxuries of a pedicure such as a sugar scrub... I paid $59 for a gel pedicure on 1/13/26, and the gel began peeling almost immediately. I returned on 1/16/26 to have it corrected, and the same issue occurred -- the gel peeled again within a day. After two failed services, I requested a refund. I was offered only $20 and denied a full refund. I was also unable to resolve the issue with management. Update 1/19/26: No refund has been issued as of today. I also had serious concerns about sanitation, including tools appearing to be reused between customers without proper cleaning. On top of that, the staff's attitude was unwelcoming and dismissive. I've been to many nail salons, and this experience stood out for poor quality, cleanliness concerns, and lack of accountability. read more

This is my favorite salon to get a pedicure done. So many great colors to choose from (gel and regular) and the pedicure is always done well. Some technicians spend a little more time perfecting their painting than others, but it always looks good. I am new(ish) to the area and have tried a bunch of different places but I keep coming back to Lily and am always happy to do so. read more

I preference this story with the note that I usually do my own cat eye gel manicure but thought that I would treat myself as I would be leaving for vacation and would be gone a couple weeks and wanted to do something special to celebrate it. I made an appointment online, selected the nail artist of my choosing and arrived at the salon. There I picked out my polish and was introduced to my artist. The artist was not the one that I made an appointment with but as this was my first time there I did not care. My appointment went down hill from there. The artist could not file my nails straight and after correcting and having them redo a couple of my nails I wound up taking the file and doing it myself. I picked Cat Eye nail polish and the artist did not know how to apply it. It took two other people to eventually show the artist how to do it (again I know how to do it and was about ready to show them myself how cat eye nail polish works because it was taking so long). Finally my nails are done not quite as cat eyeish as I would like but I was happy to be done. I go to check out and was surprised at the total cost because it was higher than what the pricing was when I made the appointment online. The pricing was higher because I chose cat eye polish which ok fine I can get that but not once did they mention that to me when they were helping me pick out a color. Just hours after I get home I realize that the corner of the polish on one of my nails was lifting. The next day I called and was able to get in which I was grateful for because I was leaving that night and would not be back for a couple weeks. They fixed the nail and double checked the rest of them in record time. I thought that was the end of it but I did not even have the gel nail polish on for a week and it was already chipping and coming off. I have never had gel nail polish come off as fast as this one. By the end of 2 weeks I was left with more fingers without gel polish then with. I took pictures of the chipping and the polish that was coming up until day 9 after that I was fed up and stopped taking photos. Bottom line it is not worth ever going there again. I did not get the artist I made the appointment for, my appointment left something to be desired, they surprised with the additional fee and my nails did not even last two weeks. If there was one nice thing I had to say about Lily Nails & Spa it is that their decor is nice. read more

The manager, his mother, and a customer who refused to abide the mask requirements got into a screaming match with me because I voiced my complaint regarding the poor customer service and lack of COVID precautions. I was verbally accosted by the clear trump supporter and the management assisted. Drove a long way to treat my pregnant friend to a girls day out... big mistake Called ahead for an appointment for two pedicures... but had to wait 20 mins while my friend's pedicure started... my water was cold and I asked to have it warmer and I was told to wait... When my nail tech finally came to assist me, I asked her to warm the water and she replied "yeah yeah I know." Even tho my pedicure started 20 minutes after my friend's somehow my pedicure was finished before hers Poor customer service and COVID precautions .... we are minorities, we were not greeted while other customers were.... no partitions at the pedicure stations... My nails looked perfect! Andy did quality work. Got a spa pedicure and gel manicure after 2 years (thanks to covid) for $80 without tip. In hindsight, I would have liked a third coat of color for my mani - next time I'll ask for it. It was relaxing but didn't take forever (done in one hour). The spa is lively, friendly, and clean. NOTE Lily's salon uses *all-new* files, buffers, etc. The metal tools are freshly sealed (versus in a sealable package that's been reused). This is to MD health standards but sometimes hard to find! Liked seeing the expanded spa with Lily, her family, and many other familiar stylists. The place was packed. I'd recommend an appointment. read more

I called for a manicure and pedicure because I had to go to a wedding. The technician made me pay up front and tried to convince me to get a gel manicure but I explained that I really did not have the time. I wanted a regular pedicure and manicure. The pedicure was fine. However, the manicure was a complete disaster. The technician's left nail station drier wasn't working, so she set up an obviously dirty, outdated drier for my left hand and instructed me to let the time run out twice. Meanwhile the right hand drier was working and went off way before the second time the left hand drier did. At any rate, I left the salon after, frankly, overtipping (cash tips only) ; there is a fee ATM in the shop (shady). I had to return to have the manicure basically redone because it had not dried properly and looked like a third grader had done my nails. After over drying both hands this time, I was finally able to get home to prepare for the wedding. The manicure did not hold up at all, though I was extremely cautious not to touch anything with any force. I ended up having to cover the manicure with press-on nails. While there, I also noticed that the technician's station was in no way on par with appropriate cleanliness standards. Avoid this place. There are better, cleaner salons in the area. Such a weird experience. My friend got a pedicure and the male technician who did her pedicure rubbed the calluses on the bottom of her feet for an extended period of time while holding eye contact. She also has a tattoo on her foot that two of the male technicians pointed and laughed at (it is a sentimental quote), and she left very upset. They were just mean! read more

The technician doing my pedicure cut my toenails so short that he cut into the nail bed of my pinkie toe, causing it to bleed. The toenails were uneven as well. Worst pedicure I've ever gotten, truly. My pinkie toe still hurts two days later. I should have said something, but I guess I was just shocked into silence. When he went to paint my toes, he said the color I chose was too dried up to use. He brought me the color wheels to look over, and then he immediately started a pedicure for another customer! Came from out of town, went here highly recommended by others and brought my niece. They were extremely nice to her! However I wanted a gel pedicure, they charged me $20 on top of the normal pedicure price which is absurd, it's just a different polish, please they did not do my cuticles, clean my toes, etc. get to my hands, my fill is off balance and the polish is uneven and chipped, I let her know and she wouldn't fix it. My wife went to Lily's recently for an organic spa pedicure which she was told the price of $55.00. The employee asked her what color for her toe nails, and was shown a color wheel that was for gels. She picked one out, and she says she got the best pedicure of her life. She was very satisfied until it came the time to pay for the service. She was to pay $55.00, but was told it would be $75.00 instead. She had also tipped them $10.00 for a total bill of $85.00. When she asked why there was such a increase, she was told that she had chosen a gel, instead of regular nail polish, hence the $20 increase. She was never told of the price difference, and there was no sign displayed by the gel that said it would be an additional cost. Management did not listen or address the confusion. To say the least, my wife became very upset with the two employees who argued with her. She later wrote a review on YELP that was understandably not very complimentary, and addressed how this spa was a rip-off. After a couple of more contacts, they did agree to refund her $20, which we went back to the store to collect. Upon arrival, the employee immediately gave her the cash back. At that point, a person who seemed to be the manager or owner came from the back, and said she was primarily upset that my wife gave them such a poor rating on YELP. Then another lady came out from the back, and tried to convince my wife that was HER fault because she selected gel. When told that there was no price list with the gels, and no one explained it to her up front, she said that all her customers knew beforehand. In the argument, the manager said that the $20 refund was coming out the employee's check. When my wife protested that it was not his fault, and expressed that it was not fair that he gets punished for management's mistake, she was informed that this was their policy. The manager suggested that my wife tip the employee instead. Totally unacceptable! The insuring argument went on for about ten minutes, before my wife said that enough was enough, and we left the store. It is very poor customer service that they did not tell my wife of the increase of price for gel instead of normal nail polish, nor were there any signs that warned of this increase. It is also very poor service when the employees never said they were sorry for the confusion in pricing. Again they said they were upset about the poor rating and written complaint. In summary, extremely poor customer service despite the excellent pedicure. You don't argue with customers, especially in this time of Covid where small businesses are lucky to have any business at all. read more

Been going there for years and finally got fed up with the terrible customer service; if you become a regular customer they will take advantage of you and hop between customers. The owner will take your polish off, go do a pedicure and make you wait, then come back and finish. Got a pedi from there. It was decent. Had my nails done by the owner. She used a new product where she dips the nail in powder. Obviously she wasn't very experienced because my nails look terrible. I've been getting my nails done in New York and the nail powder was called Nexgen. The nails are very sturdy and last around three weeks. Well the nails from here have already flaked off. The ones that are left are all wavy and lumpy. Maybe she does better with something she is more experienced with. I will not be going back there. read more

He started scrubbing my one foot and was rushing so bad that he forgot to do my other one! And when he was massaging me his fingernails were so long they were digging into my skin. We came to Lily's since it had some good reviews on Facebook. We had an appt for 9:30 which was the time they opened according to their Facebook page and other sources. When we arrived there were already 3 people getting pedicures and 2 people getting nails done. We waited until 10 and we were finally taken back. A lady took my mom and began soaking her for her gel manicure. I was taken back by another person to do my fill. When the lady finished putting the foil on my moms nails she walked away to set up a pedicure. But instead of just setting the person up she did the full pedicure. I was almost done my fill when the lady finished the pedicure. Instead of the lady who started my moms nails finishing her nails, she took the person with the pedicure back to her station and began her nails all while my mom had been waiting for hers to be finished. This is totally unacceptable to start someone's nails and then not complete them! We will definitely never go back and will not suggest this place to anyone else.
