They say last-minute getaways are the best and "Lily Hill Farm" was in every sense true to the word! Therapeutic, relaxing, exciting and a world away from our normal world. Our friends and us didn't know what to expect before we arrived. Who would have thought poor WIFI signal would be such a blessing?? The kids went berserk looking at all the farm animals and we were almost in disbelief to see the gadget crazy pre-teens and toddler so engrossed in exploring the different trails on the farm. The adults of course were transported into a happy place with the amazing scenery on the porch with a glass of their favorite beverages and healing massages by Carol. I personally enjoyed a one on one yoga session with her which was such a morale booster for my confidence after an injury. In terms of the rooms, as long as we are realistic about the location, the sheets are clean and its not a 5 star hotel ...we are going to get a goodnights sleep. The kitchen is gigantic and well maintained, loved the herb garden in their green room. Just waking up to the hens and banter is priceless. Did I mention Penny Kenny the owner? shes a writer, healer and great hostess. Cant wait to go back soon!! read more
