Now, the store itself is nice, clean, charming, and has very kind employees, but for me the magic is downstairs. Head down into the basement and you'll find coolers with a nice selection of local brews, some comfy furniture to hang out on, and a TV that will likely have whatever sporting event is currently going on, on display. There are also some antiques for sale down there, and several games available to play if you want to hang out. It kind of feels like visiting a really cool friend that happens to have some industry standard fridges in their basement. I almost always forget this exists until I happen upon it again, but if you're in the area around happy hour, I think this spot would be an amazing place to start out a night in Weston.

It bleeds personality--pure, unfiltered vintage glory. Every piece has a story, a vibe, maybe even a past life in a punk band. Dripping with legit retro energy, it doesn't dabble in throwbacks; it mainlines them straight to your soul. First time stepping in, I was hit with a full blast of cool. Effortlessly hip, unapologetically chill, peak Lawrence, Kansas. It's giving local legend, not tourist trap. I didn't buy anything--today. But wandering around was a blast. Every corner packed memories I forgot I had. This isn't just a shop; it's a time machine wrapped in flannel and funk. The guy working was a gem--super sweet. I wanted to give him my business. Next time, I'm not leaving without something that carries its own breakup anthem.

That was definitely the vibe here. And hey, awfully neat stuff. I know the couple behind the place a little and they are quite the St. Joe entrepreneurs. It's pretty well impossible to respond to knowing Amy and Brian Meyers at all without resorting to just rooting all out for them to succeed at their mission of revitalizing downtown St. Joe. But you know how there are places you WANT to like and root for and all that but... yeah, they aren't places you would take someone from out of town, right? Well, I took my fiance from New Zealand to The Lucky Tiger and was so glad I did. Not just a great little local business, but lots and lots of stuff that looked very good to both of us.
