The most important point I am trying to make in my review is that you can get a refund from Grabone or Groupon if you tell them about your experience, provided that your voucher hasn't been redeemed. I contacted Groupon to tell them about my experience and they were so lovely. If you haven't used your voucher, I would HIGHLY recommend that you organise a refund. Trust me, you won't regret it - just read all these reviews below.
I wish I could give 0 stars. The owner / manager of this place is the rudest and most terrible customer service person I have ever come across.
The closing time on their website is unreliable and they don't pick up the call when you try to book. The owner becomes extremely rude and starts raising his voice when you say that you have a Grabone / Groupon voucher. He told me that I must make a booking in advance and told me that I can't dine there on a voucher without a booking, not giving me the chance to explain that I had tried to make a booking but nobody picked up the phone. When I told him that many restaurants out there allow people to dine on vouchers without a booking, he started making untrue claims about other restaurants on Grabone / Groupon but then said it was his restaurant and so what others did had nothing to do with him. His attitude is appalling, terrible and upsetting and honestly felt like he is deliberately trying to make people hate his business. I decided not to eat there and forfeit my voucher because it wasn't worth it - luckily Groupon was lovely and gave me a refund upon finding out about my horrific experience.
Most importantly, he was so rude to his staff and I felt terrible for them. I felt so upset talking to him and wanted to speak to another staff member to make a booking instead. When I tried to get the waitress's attention, the owner said in a very rude tone, "What are you trying to do? She is JUST A WAITRESS. Just talk to me." That was one of the most horrific incidents of mistreatment of staff that I had witnessed. It was concerning that she wasn't bothered by it. Before I left the restaurant, I made sure that I went up to her to tell her that no matter what he says to her, she is never just a waitress.
