As always this place has fresh bread that is fluffy on the inside and crusty on the outside. Well seasoned cheesy sub! This is a great diner as diners go!…read more My friend and I were up very early to get to Sandbanks Provincial Park Beach. After a relaxed beach morning, we then toured Prince Edward County. By the end of it all we were tired and hungry and looking for healthy. We ended up driving back and stopped in Cobourg as it was a good sized town and had to have some decent eateries. We looked up places to eat and Cobourg diner seemed to have a lot of choices ... especially since I was keen on having a healthy salad. The server was excellent - friendly, funny, and made us feel right at home. When I saw liver on the last page of the menu, I was sold. So was my friend. It was excellent and a rather large portion. I'd definitely visit again when I'm in the area.

The mussels were perfectly cooked and the sauce was delicious! The pizza was also a contender for the favourite, the dough is so good, there's a satisfying crunch to it and just amazing when you add some chilli flakes. We dined in the covered patio this time and it was nice to feel a little breeze come through by my legs. The inside where we dined last time was also really cozy. The grocery area closes at six on Sundays so we didn't get to peruse the aisles this time but some good finds there too! Service was also great, our server was attentive and nice.

We ordered the strawberry cheesecake, which had large pieces of cake embedded within the cheese cake, served with a fruit compote, and topped with white chocolate, of course this hits the spot for your sweet cravings. We also had the New York style strawberry topped cheesecake, nice but a little eggie for me. The dreamers cookie tastes a little different from what I remember, the caramel is a little more runny than before, but the flavours were on point! Would definitely travel the two hours to get this again. We had a beautiful view of the town sitting on this elevated private area of the cafe with my girl friends. This take truly is a delight, and I hope I don't have to wait another two years to visit again!

The K salad was refreshing, light and unique and complimented the entree perfectly. A special shout out to the staff Elaina and Holly, for their excellent service. The pan cake was the only thing that's OK but a let down considering that's what I came here for as they used to be sooooooo good and fluffy. I sense that they must have changed owner.
