All dirt where the full hookups are
    Sean S.

Not exactly the campground advertised with pictures they show. We got here and the full hookup sites are all dirt no grass. I needed to work while friends went golfing but their internet does not even show up at our sites. We were looking forward to using the free kayaks and paddle boards only to find the lake was 18 miles away, not on the property. The mosquitos chewed us up the minutes the sun went down. Might be good for a overnight stay on your way somewhere but nit thrilled the way they advertise it

Spot 11 to the right, 12 to the left.

Super nice place. We RV'ed in back up spot 11. Beautiful view out the back into a meadow, on the end of the row. There is a tent site in the grass next to 11. It was quite and guest were respectful. Staff were super nice and informative. Breakfast was amazing, very fast, and good food, with an even better view. I suggest taking a drive out to Blue Lake and West Valley Reservoir. But lots to do just on site, even if your not a golfer. We fished the ponds on site and caught, large mouth bass and blue gill.

Great ATV friendly RV Park with an awesome 18 hole golf course. Full hook ups with pull thru and back in spots. Grounds are well maintained. There are 2 nice hiking / biking trails on the property, one goes all around the course. Great little restaurant that serves breakfast and lunch with patio seating that views the course and hills. Truly a great place to get away and there is something for everybody to do here.

Water birds to watch in the early morning!

Just passing through and not golfers, we spent a couple of nights in the RV camp. Beautiful sunrise & sunsets, peace & quiet, with many places to walk our dog. He gave the place two dew claws up! I wish we had eaten at the club house, but we will next time! My husband wants to stay a little longer when we return and that is saying A+! We visited the nearby bird wildlife sanctuary and had a wonderful hike listening to the chorus of Canadian geese!

This is a hidden gem of a course about a 1/2 hour drive south of Alturas. It is a challenging 18 hole course that is set in a landscape of rock, sagebrush, and junipers. The fairways are a mixed bag - it can be difficult to get the grass growing in much of the hardpan soils of the area - beware of hidden rocks. The greens are outstanding and well kept. It is a long course that can be walked, but there is a great distance between many holes. If you go OB in the rocks, watch out for rattlesnakes!! What makes this place so great is that you can get on without a tee time and have the place to yourself on a weekday. The clubhouse food is outstanding, Many people like the option of staying in the RV park, they also have cabins to rent.

    Sun rising at Likely Place!

We had a great stay at Likely. We played 9 holes and had a bite to eat. We'll definitely return.

It's too bad it's a nice area, friendly staff, off the beaten path and it has a small airstrip. Worth a day trip, pack your own food and beverages, camp and rent elsewhere. I would not support the business of this owner.

I just have to give a huge shout out to Wanda who was an amazing host! First I called to tell her I will be checking in late and she found out that a staff member put me in a site that according to her, she wouldn't normally put campers unless she needs to because of capacity. Second, she said that it's ok for me to check in after 5:00 and not to worry that she will have an envelope for me taped to the office door and that to just go ahead and pull up to my site. When I got there after 5, there were only a few campers (exactly how I like it). I did not set up immediately because I was not really keen on the site she gave me. When I saw her pull up to host site, I went up and told her who I was and get this...she allowed me to pick another site that I would feel comfortable to be in! If that isn't customer service, I don't know what is. So I found my spot and I was really happy. What's nice about the park is that they have a store, they sell propane and have a couple of gas pumps! I didn't need to worry about where to get gas on the way back home as my tank only had a quarter of gas left. They only have regular 87 octane, though. And they also have a dump station. The next day I had a chance to look around. You can see Eagle lake but it's a ways off, there are some small cabins that were just basically "tents" made of wood and they also have bigger cabins that were fully furnished with electricity, heating and water. They also have tent sites in addition to full hookup RV sites. In the middle of the campground is a recreation room with a couple of arcade video games and more. I must say I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at this campground and I can't say enough good things about the camp host! I certainly would go camp there again!

Our kids were bummed when I told them it was just us. I felt guilty seeing their pouting faces, so our reservation for two became one for four. Burney falls was so mesmerizing, I'm glad we brought our kids. I love waterfalls and being outside in the warm Summer months hiking or camping. We lucked out and were there right before the area was shut down for the fires nearby. We were pleasantly surprised that there were cabins and hookups for RVs right there in the park. We totally could have brought our RV instead of staying in town. It's a small town and if you have never visited a small town with any stop lights, you wouldn't understand where I'm going with this analogy. Lol! Iykyk! We had a great time and do look forward to making our way back to do some more hiking and camping. This park is a must see and a family friendly hike to get to the falls! Fun fact: Burney Falls is never dry, 100 million gallons flow daily, so no matter what time of year you visit there will be flow.

He hauled our trash, provided firewood, and gave us directions to a cool beach spot on Lake Briton. Regardless of the heat, the amenities were exactly what we were looking for! Full hookups, clean, peace & quiet, friendly neighbors, etc. Our shady spot was perfect for our dogs that we had fenced in around our trailer. The owner, Pam, bought the place 8 years ago and has been steadily making improvements. There are ten cabins, ranging from no bathroom to full bath and kitchen, each decorated individually. And oh so clean. I am here on their first day of the season. A sheer fluke-I've been on the road for three months and decided to check it out to see if there were any campsites open. It's Memorial Weekend so I was fortunate, indeed. The sites are all pull through. Level. Have electric, water, and dump stations for those with bigger rigs. The bath house is clean. Two showers, two toilets on the women's side. I think the men have the same configuration. It's quiet. I'm listening to doves, robins, and wrens while I write. I watched two pair of hawks sail by earlier so its aptly named. There's a playground for children. A safe fire pit. And a cleaning station for those who fish and hunt. They are open until just after hunting season in November, then close due to snow. Nice place. If there was reliable internet, I'd give five stars. But really, between the stars, birds, trees, and fresh air, who needs internet?
