I had such a wonderful experience with Like A Local on their Brooklyn Heights/DUMBO tour. I highly recommend a tour for anyone visiting NY or living in NY who wants to learn more about a specific neighborhood. The tour guide Bridget was so sweet, knowledgeable, and passionate about NY and the history here. I live here and learned so much from the tour that I wouldn't have known exploring the neighborhood on my own. All of the food stops were amazing too! My favorite was Le French Tart Deli and Time Out Market - I can't wait to go back to both! I genuinely enjoyed the tour and hope to check out other neighborhoods with Like A Local in the future!

We had a great time on our tour with Lauren today!!! Learned a lot about the neighborhood, had some great pizza, korean, croissant bagels, and several yummy sweets. Would definitely recommend and looking forward to checking out her flatiron tour next time we have visitors in town!!!

Went on the williamsburg food tour, our guide was keaton, firstly he was an amazing guide, took time to talk to all of us during the tour asking about us, where we are from and lots of other things. His knowledge and the way he gets it across to you about williamsburg in an interesting way is great, and his fantastic knowledge of the food was great. When i come back to new york i will definitely take another tour. Thank you lauren for a organizing a great tour and thank you keaton for an enjoyable informative day.

We chose the private family tour and booking was quick and easy and the customer service as great as I remembered. On to the tour itself: Luke met us at the Museum of Natural History on time and we got reacquainted. My son is autistic and can have some trouble warming to new people but absolutely no the case with Luke, he immediately put my son at ease and they were chatting like old friends as we made our way into Central Park. The tour covered loads of Central Park, including an exciting off track visit to a secret cave, the plaza hotel, grand central station, some fun subway rides, and concluded at the Brooklyn Bridge. But more than just seeing so many iconic sites, Luke had hundreds of facts and stories (which my son loved) about what we were seeing. It was truly like spending a wonderful day with an old friend. I cannot recommend highly enough Luke and Real New York Tours. Until next time!

I had just explained to my son the importance of arriving early because arriving on time makes you late(he wondered why we left the hotel early though we were only a couple of blocks away from McDonalds.) The unmarked bus was parked across the street in front of the Paramount building. We were in line for a different tour who was parked in front McDonalds who informed us that we were in line for the wrong tour and pointed to the unmarked bus. We still arrived on time. I then explained to my son that situations like this is why you arrive early. I had a ton of missed calls and was contacted by email but a sign of some sort would've helped(a magnetic sign on the driver and passenger doors, or a foldable sign that can be transported on the bus) as I noticed the bus from across the street(the same side as Applebees and Ellen's Stardust Diner) but had no way of identifying it.

He was as funny and informative as they come, detailing dates, places, people, and events all from an authentic Brooklyn POV. He had us laughing to the point of tears, salivating with the descriptions of the pizza we would soon ingest and astonished with some of the real-life facts he drops as you pass by Brooklyn's most notorious and iconic neighborhoods. You get shown clips from movies and television shows that have shot all over Brooklyn as you drive by the locations. The tour stops off in DUMBO, Bensonhurst and Coney Island before completing the loop back in Manhattan, so you definitely are exposed to a whole hell of a lot of New York in 4ish hours. You can also voluntarily choose to stay in Coney Island and not go back to the city, which is an awesome option to have if you want to play tourist or just ride some roller coasters after stuffing yourself full of pie! As a film/pizza enthusiast, this was literally one of the best days of my life, enhanced only by the company of my friends and the spectacular narration of Marc. This tour is definitely the best tour I've ever been on. It was equal parts hilarious and informative, with just enough wackiness and kitsch from Marc to make the whole experience truly unforgettable. The whole thing really needed more confidence and enthusiasm to make the stories come alive. As for the tour content, it was extremely underwhelming. We did not go to any real haunted sites or cemeteries. At one point the driver simply pulled over on the side of the highway and pointed out a cemetery in the distance. I could not believe that counted as part of the experience. Overall this felt like a waste of money and time. It was crowded, disorganized, and the storytelling lacked excitement. I would not recommend this tour to anyone expecting an engaging or authentic haunted experience.
