I was a junior in college who has been struggling with body hair my whole life. My mother is of Indian decent and my father of Polish; so I have semi-tan skin with extremely dark, black, and thick body hair. I went to Zara's because I heard of the cheap prices for the full body package. I felt like I knew better, but I was a college student short on cash, and I was desperate. I originally paid for a 7 session package. The owner was honest to me, told me I might need a few more sessions after the 7 due to my tan skin but my hair was the prefect candidate and I was promised the treatment would guarantee me a hairless body with some time. I just want to say that the owner and technicians at Zara's had always talked to me with respect and were welcoming and very kind to me. This is why I have decided to give 2 stars instead of 1. It hurts to see reviews talking bad about the owner's character because I had never experienced that. Anyways, to the laser hair removal treatment... I don't even remember how many treatments I had because I have lost count. Maybe I've had about 15 sessions or more. The first couple of treatments went very well. The results were amazing which made me want to keep coming back. But once the 7 sessions were up I still grew hair on my legs and arms. The areas of my where my skin was light (armpits, bikini area, etc.) stopped growing hair which made me believe that this would work in the end. Due to these results, I was encouraged to purchase more sessions once my package was done. So I stayed patient and was told to trust the process and continued going to this place for another year. The comments I read on this page are true. The technicians rushed me through each hour long session. They definitely missed spots and burns. One time I when I was getting my bikini area done and they burnt my actual skin off. It was so horrible I couldn't sit down and was so afraid of infection. Good thing nothing worse came from that. On the other hand, I never should have received a burn from "well trained" technicians. After around my 12th or 13th session, Zara got a new, better, high tech machine. I brought up how unhappy I was with the results she offered the new machine up to me... here's the catch.. I had to pay an extra $40 per session. It's just so sad as I was such a loyal customer and was getting penalized for just wanting the results I was promised. I always would bring up how unhappy I was with my results and they would keep blaming my skin color, telling me to stop tanning. If I'm being real, I avoided going out in the sun for TWO WHOLE YEARS. There was one time in 2015 I went to Brazil and got a tan. I told them about it so my treatment was put off for a few months, nevertheless, years later that was still brought up as the reason the treatment wasn't working. I countered saying that couldn't be the case and was told to go to the doctor's and get tested for an imbalance of hormones because apparently, according to them, I must have too much testosterone... excuse me. I went to the doctors by the way and was told I was just fine. After a year, I was still in college during this time, I asked for a discount due to the lack of results and was told she could not give me one. She then stated the most she could do was take $20 off per treatment. I felt like I deserved better. They told me they cared about my results and well being but in they end all they cared about was the money. The second to last session I went too, I asked if it was normal that I was walking out of a treatment with hair still being present on my body (which had occurred for the entirety of the 2.5 years I had been going). The owner was kind, told me that was unacceptable, and immediately redid my session. For my last session, I entered hopeful that things would change, but after receiving typical treatment (rushed session, missed spots, and hair present) I had lost hope with this establishment. The owner told me that there was no need for me to return, didn't schedule me for another session, and told me that I should be 100% hair free. I finally gave up going earlier this year.. I couldn't keep forking out the money. I had invested a couple thousand dollars. I came to the realization it was never going to work. I now am still living with the body hair issue I once had. Here I am four months later my hair is thinner but areas that had stopped growing hair have hair again (armpits, bikini, upper lip). I feel so taken advantage of.. I'm so upset with the results, now having hair growing in areas that never had hair before like the back of my arms, my cheeks, my whole chin, and all over my neck... it's embarrassing even putting this on google :( Going here was one of the biggest mistakes of my life.

OK, I feel obligated to leave a review for Elite Vein & Hair Restoration, not necessarily for the…read morebusiness but for the guys like me who are shopping around for the proven best results, and if possible most affordable for the type of procedure we need. I have had three total procedures done in my lifetime, one 20 years ago, with Bosley(strip method, 800 grafts), one almost a year ago, again, with Bosley(2nd strip method, 800 grafts) and this one recently from Elite Vein and Hair(FUE 1200 grafts). I decided to go with the FUE(NeoGraft) this time because I didn't want to keep getting strips of my scalp cut out and have that scar get even longer across the back of my head. Once I decided to do the FUE I found about 4 reputable places, with enough online presence, that did it around the Detroit area. I called one and never heard back from them, Bosley was around $4200 for the 800 graft strip method and A LOT more for the FUE, nearly the same for MHR(Michigan Hair Restoration). I decided to take a chance with the (way)lesser known Elite Vein and Hair after looking at the before and after photos on their Facebook page AND after my consultation. The clincher was when the rep(her name was Nada) told me that they would do the 1200 grafts, NeoGraft FUE for LESS than I had gotten the STRIP method done with Bosley with only 800 grafts! What! I realized they weren't one of the "top dogs" out there so I "felt" like I was kind of taking a risk, I mean, "Elite Vein"! I am here to share with you that this place was just as professional, clean, friendly staffed and even had something that Bosley didn't, the ARTAS robotic FUE. I'd really like to outline every detail that happened for you guys but I don't have that kind of time BUT I will give you some noteworthy highlights. They were VERY patient, I never felt rushed. They redrew the hairline a few times before the procedure until I was happy AND they followed that hairline perfectly. Even though I had considerably more hair loss on one side the Bosley doctor quickly jabbed away with his scalpel 400 times on EACH side. The Elite doctor actually took the time to study my hair growth and made his jabs accordingly, lots more on one side than the other, big props! One of the two doctors who placed the grafts was so detailed and really took his time, I think he only took one few minutes break for the many hours I was there, he even ended up staying and putting some of the extra grafts he had into my scar from the previous procedures to help hide it, I mean, he could have not said anything and went home to his family and I would have been none the wiser... THAT'S integrity! One more thing, they gave me free PRP(Platelet Rich Plasma) injections, that they centrifuged from my own blood before the procedure and injected into my scalp to increase blood flow and help with hair growth, AND they sent me off with a healing and moisturizing spray made from the same plasma! I will be uploading the before and after photos after the grafts start growing out in about 2 more months. They took photos before, immediately after and at 10 days and I will include those as well so you can really get an idea as to what this FUE looks like... I will close by saying that if you are on the fence do yourself a favor and schedule a consultation with Elite Vein and Hair, what do you have to lose besides more money if you select one of the more advertised and overpriced competitors? Suggested a Vampire facial, (instead of getting a facelift I was considering and he said I didn't need a facelift). It wasn't a facial but a combination of juvaderm & your own blood inserted into your cheeks and under (my eyes to supposedly get rid of my dark circles), which I never had an issue with but I thought, he's the expert, he must know what he's doing. I was so excited to have this done from his recommendation. Big mistake. He doesn't know what he's doing. When I came back for my 2 week follow up appointment, I wasn't impressed. He mumbled how it worked really well for his daughter prior to her wedding. I'm not your daughter. I'm 61 years old dude. And yes, I do need a facelift. He wanted me to come back again in a couple of months. I didn't show because I still wasn't happy with the so called, results and thought he probably won't do anything to make me happy. I finally returned and as I thought, he wouldn't do anything to make me a happier patient and he thought he gave me some great special price at $1600. He used 2 vials of Juvaderm which equals $1600 and gave me the blood he withdrew from my arm that he put in a centrifuge to spin and inserted with some of the Juvaderm in it. Big deal. $800 a vial is full Price. What a waste of my money. Money that I don't have to waste. I'm not rich. Look at the wonderful Bags he gave me that I never had before in the picture I posted. So he was going to get rid of my dark circles which I don't have any issues with added on bags under my eyes. What an A*s !!
