Avoid Wells Fargo at all costs - unless you have a full time personal assistant who can make all the phone calls, answer all the emails, review all the correspondences, uncover undisclosed fees, keep track of commitments made over the phone that don't materialize, question things that don't make any common sense, keep track of fees charged for services that are not needed that get refunded back to you at some point.. that's just for origination. You will need to keep your personal assistant to monitor your statements because Wells will decide how to allocate the money you send to them unless you sign up for, and use, their account payment (which by the way you are not allowed to change without you guessed it- calling them, OR as I was told by the local Wells agent, put a STOP PAYMENT from your bank to Wells Fargo). Oh also, when they decide how and where to apply your payment to them, they will also assess late fees even if you are overpaying your mortgage.

I got an appraisal and paperwork was filled out. Then they stopped answering calls and I have not heard anything from them in 2 weeks. I went into the bethpage branch since no one returned my call and asked for Mustafa. Was told he was out in the field. Then asked if there was anyone else to help me. Receptionist went in the back and amazingly Mustafa appeared. No sure what games they are playing. But this is very bad business. I would give no stars but I can't.
