Dear Mass General Brigham Edgartown ER…read more The care received at the Mass General Brigham Emergency Room in Edgartown during the visit on June 18, 2025 "tonight" was exceptional. The professional and personal attention provided helped alleviate anxiety and worry. The helpfulness of the woman at the front desk was immediately apparent. Tony Amato in the ER intake took my blood pressure and was thorough, professional, and genuinely caring. He established a smooth process, and his personal connection to my high school wrestling coach made a difference. He was the best! Derek was also professional and likable. His positive demeanor helped alleviate any worries. He was a real pro and was incredible! The PA Kristen Gallery who saw me demonstrated an incredible understanding of my emotional needs. She seemed to have a background in psychology. Her empathy and insight brought me to tears in a positive way. I was so grateful for her ability to address both physical and emotional well-being. She was beyond amazing! I can not say enough about her ! The intake person equally amazing and though. She handled my insurance needs was also exceptional. She took the time to address system requirements and ensured all data and addresses were accurate, guaranteeing that bills would be handled properly. Scott provided excellent care during exit. His friendly demeanor and support made the end of the visit as positive as the beginning. The experience at Mass General Brigham in Edgartown was transformative. It instilled a sense of comfort and reassurance. The staff's dedication and commitment to patient care exceeded expectations and gave hope. I rarely writes reviews, but this experience was so remarkable and uplifting that I felt compelled to share it. But they made an island experience truly a precious gift Please extend the deepest gratitude to everyone involved in the patient's care that night. They are truly exceptional individuals !! Sincerely, Keith

I brought my mother-in-law to this hospital while we were on vacation due to severe abdominal pain,…read moreand the experience was unacceptable from start to finish. The receptionist was remarkably rude and showed little compassion toward a woman who was clearly in significant pain. Rather than offering assistance, she insisted on having her complete paperwork containing information that had already been provided, all while displaying an unhelpful and dismissive attitude. What followed was a nearly nine-hour wait to diagnose what ultimately turned out to be kidney stones. Even more concerning, during that entire time, not a single doctor came into the room to personally evaluate, explain findings, or discuss a treatment plan. Healthcare professionals are entrusted with caring for people during some of their most vulnerable moments. Unfortunately, this facility failed to demonstrate even the most basic standards of communication, compassion, and patient care. The lack of urgency, professionalism, and respect we encountered was deeply disappointing. This was, without question, one of the worst healthcare experiences I have witnessed. Based on our experience, you would likely receive more attentive and compassionate care at many urgent care centers than at this hospital's emergency department.

Everyone at VCM, and I mean everyone, is so friendly and welcoming. Sue and her team are the absolute best to work with. It was with much happiness that I was recovered enough to end my PT although I felt sad about leaving her practice.

This adherence to Covid-19 protocols made me feel incredibly comfortable with my decision to have my treatments done here during these times. Dr. BenDavid herself is funny and approachable but also incredibly qualified. She happily addressed all my concerns about my current treatment choice as well as took the time to answer questions regarding future options without being pushy in anyway. She truly listened to my my goals and was honest about what I could expect. The fact that Divine specializes in multiple treatments makes their spa a perfect treatment center for me. As I've been particularly interested in threads as an option for my particular concerns, I was more than happy to find out that Dr BenDavid not only performs this treatment but is currently training others nationwide in some of the most premier spas in the country. I double booked my appointment with my doctor's appointment. Yes, it was my fault, however when I tried to text a modification of time or day I was summarily shut down and told it's another 200.fee- in addition to the 150 fee I had paid for a consultation. I was within the 48 hour period of time to alter my appointment. 350.00 later with no treatment and a conversation that was completely unyielding of an any compromise later, I walked away from the salon without a compromise. It was harsh. But nothing would persuade this technician from charging me the additional 200. for my clumsiness. This is not the same person I had do my facial before. It feels bad, its callous and mercenary that she took 350. on my stored credit card against my wishes telling me she has the right to do so while I protested. I understand the need for small businesses to protect themselves from cancellations, I'm the general manager of a local hotel, but there are times when we listen to people and we apply a more nuanced view of the situation. I do not care for the new attitude of this spa. I will recommend people choose other salons in town.
