This store has many artistic and beautiful lights those are not carried by chains. The fixtures are of modern style and European origin. Also found are decorative arts such as ceiling hung mobiles and home accessories. Many lovely jewels for your homes and they are at higher prices. We had an issue with a recessed LED fixture which was resolved after much difficulty and time by the company from which our general contractor purchased all our recessed lights. We are having the same issue again with one of the lights. Our general contractor contacted Monika Oberer at Light Up Your Life to see if they could help us. We were familiar with Light Up Your Life as we purchased lamps and fixtures from them in the past and had been uniformly pleased with their inventory, knowledge, assistance and service. So we thought this was a terrific idea. While the showroom is gorgeous, the staff is less than helpful. "Michael" also gave my husband and I incorrect information about placing lighting on a bathroom ceiling. When we called him later in the day, to request other information about the fixtures we picked, he never called us back. Guess he just wasn't that into us or our needs. We went to Franklin Lighting where the staff was eager to help and found us great fixtures for less money. Too bad Light Up Your Life lost customers who might have helped them support that beautiful showroom! read more

Very disinterested in helping us at all. We have previously purchased from there and so you would think that they would appreciate the return customer. We also gave him one of our hanging fixtures to use to order replacement fixtures that have now since broken and he didn't even bother to call us much less order the part. We were greeted warmly at the front desk and when we said we wanted some help, we were lucky enough to be introduced to Holly. Holly made an overwhelming experience fun and easy. She and the store went above and beyond without a hint of pressure or up-selling. The helped us figure out what would work and then helped to make it happen quickly, easily and within budget. What a complete waste, saw their website online. So we took a drive there from Clearwater. Excited to check out what they had. Since we had been having trouble locating contemporary lighting for our new condo. We park and walk in. Not one person greeted us, should of been our first warning. It was an odd set up. People sitting at desks throughout the store and various displays of fixtures. We looked around a bit. No prices anywhere. To be found. So finally a guy begrudgingly got up from his desk and said what can I help you with. I showed him a picture I had found on their website. Then he just disappeared. Then the lady at the front desk finally acknowledged our presence. My husband said we've never been here before, she nodded her head, well he continued what do you do here? Order the fixtures we like? She said ah huh. Ok then. So they guy finally came back and said we don't carry that brand any longer. Nothing else. So we were left standing there. They must have thought we had no money or weren't good enough for their business. We were treated like homeless people. So end of story , don't go here. Don't waste your time. Really. If you want to get treated badly then go. If you want respect then go to Lowes!! Or hey just order online like we did. So You light up my life, you lost a big sale and future sales from us. And hopefully anyone else who reads this. You might want to send your staff to etiquette classes read more

I loved Light up your life! OMG these guys were the best part of building a new home. They have amazing products, that were not only unique, but absolutely "talking" points for everyone that came to our new home. Monica was amazing to work with, and she was present for every part of the installation and made sure everything worked to perfection. I love this place and I would recommend it to everyone I know. You couldn't find a better lighting center in all of Florida. I'd give this place more stars if it was possible. read more

We had a very positive experience. The store had by far the best selection of lights to help us get a feeling for what was available and various price levels. We ended up working with Gail. She came out to our condo to better understand our décor and help us decide on what would work best for us. This involved several hours of her time and was done free and with no obligation to us. She then did quite a bit of research to suggest several items. She worked with us to refine the choices, spending at least 5 more hours, again with no cost or obligation. She helped us find the lowest cost source for our choices, matching what I was able to find online. Everything was done very promptly. When the items came in they inspected them and returned one that had a slight scratch. I'm not sure what else they could have done to make the experience more favorable. We give them our highest recommendation. read more
