The space is clean, sleek and bright. There's a shower there, as well as some lockers to store your things. (And, if I understand correctly, there's a small childminding service available while you work out.) The owners - a husband-and-wife team - are great, too. They're super-friendly, and helpful if you've got questions. There are 7 types of barre/ballet classes (plus a ballet-fusion class for kids), and sessions are offered much most times of the day, every day of the week. The weekends *are* - understandably - busier than weekday mornings. (And I heard that classes were full throughout Easter weekend.) But as someone with an alternative schedule (I work weekends and am off weekdays), I like the fact it's *not* crowded early weekday mornings. The instructors (I've had classes with Marvin, Dave and Rochelle) - are great. They're super-helpful - talking you through/demonstrating exercises, and helping you to correct your body to feel the full effect of the exercises. (If you're an early riser, or attend a class that's sparsely attended, you might get more attentive instruction.) They're even there to answer questions about stretching, etc. For anyone unsure of which barre studio to choose (there are now two, with Barreworks opening its uptown location), I would invite anyone to try out a class or two at Barre Beautiful before deciding. They have a check in table when you walk in, get your heels (if you want), get changed and head over to the studio where there were plenty of poles for you to choose from. The entire experience and our instructor was amazing. It's something that none of us have ever done before so it was brand new to the entire party. The entire experience was fun but very hard, as some moves were difficult to do as a newbie. I love that they had spray bottles for each station so that you can wipe your pole before and after your lesson, since there was another group before us. The entire space is also covered with mirrors for you to check yourself out/ see if you're doing the moves properly. Overall, such a great experience and fun activity to do with friends! Highly recommend this for a bachelorette party!

I can only comment on the facilities since the classes I attended is not one of the class on the regular schedule and the class was excellent! The room is really small and can only fit 5 student comfortably. I do like small class size but the floor is just really dirty and dusty. There are though enough props to go around. Noise level is quite high as it is facing Queen Street and you can even feel the vibration while lying on the floor if there is a "party" or a class going on next door. I though interest in one of their regular Pole Dancing Class, I definitely would try to come back to take one soon. Or maybe even organize a bachelorette or a divorce party here!

She had to ask me how much the website said. b) The classes they were posted were not the ones offered. They alternated, so I was attending a class that I didn't really want to be in. However, the instructor was willing to change it. c) They said they had a big event the previous night, and we're still cleaning at 4 pm. Not very professional. There are better studios out there.

The classes are loaded onto your account, and the easiest way to book the class is online, or via their app. The classes open up 72 hours (or 3 days) before the actual class, and these things fill up QUICK. So, some planning ahead is required. They do have waitlist available, which means if someone cancels, you get their spot. Beware of their cancellation policies, though - give it a good read and realize that this will be a commitment of your time, or else you're paying! I have no problem with this, but I can see where others who are prone to changing-plans might find this tedious. The classes themselves are upbeat and fun, and always loaded with awesome music. I think I've tried at least 4 of the instructors in Pole Beginner 1 now, and they all have a different "style" but they stick to the same syllabus, in terms of moves you need to master to move up the classes. You can't just jump ahead - they make sure you've got these moves down before they'll promote you. I love the classes because they have equal parts fitness, dance, and just plain ol' sexiiiii girliness. Sexy crawls on the floor? Twerking? hair flips??? Yes, yes, and yes, and with some upper body strength too. My Groupon is coming to an end soon, and then they'll be looking at a regular Vixen!

We did inverts and had a really good experience. I can't wait to go back for a full hour class. The pole dancing course was okay. They taught us a choreographed dance (it was difficult to follow along) but we didn't do as many spins as I would have liked. I took one pole dancing class at a competitor years ago and it felt more like a workout but if you want to learn a sexy dance routine for a special someone, this would definitely be the class for you. They also offer bachelorettes and private lessons. I definitely want to try some of the other classes. This location is located on the third floor of Seduction. I wasn't sure if I was the right address when I arrived but it was. The instructors and employees working at this location are extremely friendly and kind. I definitely recommend you check it out for a flirty time.

Dance like an Egyptian!…read more I first started taking classes at Hannan's Belly Dance Studio (now Egyptian Dance Academy) back in 2005 and have made this my dance home ever since. Whether you just want to burn off some calories or become a professional dancer, the Academy has something to offer. The studio owner and artistic director, Nada El Masriya, grew up in Egypt, trained with the famous Reda troupe, and regularly returns to Egypt to stay in touch with what's current in the belly dance scene there. She makes sure to pass this knowledge on to all her instructors, so you know you're getting the real thing. If you want to push yourself further, the studio also offers lots of workshops and opportunities to perform. Above all, the classes are so much fun! Seriously, if you want to tone your arms, would you rather pump iron in a sweaty gym, or float around gracefully like a goddess while listening to fabulous music?
