Every teacher is knowledgeable, supportive, and genuinely invested in helping their students grow. I recently completed Yoga NoHo's teacher training program, and it was truly life-changing. The program is intensive and filled with so much valuable information, guidance, and wisdom. The Guide: Carolina Pelayo * Hot Vinyasa Flow * The room was already warm, dark, candle-lit, & peppermint in the air. Carolina invited us to notice our own energy... Maybe even our neighbor's. Then she asked us to ask ourselves: "What do I need from my practice today?" (Good question.) Then... We breathed. We flowed. Somewhere between Skandasanas and a one-legged vinyasa... I accidentally kicked a young man behind me in the head. He smiled. "It's okay." We kept flowing. Carolina closed class the same way she opened it - with intention - inviting us to carry the energy we created into the rest of our week. The Tribe: * A stranger helped me check in. Another smiled after I kicked him. Carolina held the whole room with warmth. A pretty good description of the community. Space & Place: * Dark. Cozy. Hot. (My kind of room.) Private bathroom inside the yoga room. Cubbies for your things. Free parking garage if you get there early. Street parking worked just fine for me. The Takeaway: * The studio had a self check-in. So did the class. Only one required a touchscreen.

I've been coming to White Heat Yoga since 2018, when I first moved to the area, so we're going on…read moreeight years! There have definitely been periods when I've been on and off, especially during the pandemic or just because life was lifing, but I'm happy to see this studio still going strong after all these years. Jordan, the owner, is absolutely phenomenal, and there are several instructors and classes that I absolutely love and highly recommend. I really enjoy Jordan's hot yoga flow classes, and my other favorites include Jaimi (yes, we share the same name and spelling!), who teaches an excellent hot yoga sculpt class, and Manndola of DolaFit. If you take Manndola's class, come prepared and get your mind right because you are going to WORK! His classes are a great mix of cardio and strength training, and I've always walked out feeling like I can do anything. I also really enjoyed Ashby's classes and definitely miss taking them. There have been quite a few instructors who have come and gone over the years, and while I recommend some more than others, that's really just a matter of personal preference and instructor style. I love a challenging class, so difficulty isn't an issue for me--it's more about the overall energy and vibe of the instructor. One thing to keep in mind is that a lot of the classes can get packed, so I recommend getting there at a good time to find parking and get settled in. Parking can be tough at times, especially when classes are busy. After nearly eight years, I'm still happy to support Jordan and White Heat Yoga. It's great to see a local studio continue to thrive for so long, and if you're looking for hot yoga, sculpt, cardio, or strength-focused classes, I definitely recommend checking them out. You will not be disappointed!

The instructors here too are very knowledgeable and passionate about their work. They come and fix your form and it is always leaving me feeling refreshed after. When I started this journey last year, my health and well-being were in a really bad spot. Bikham Hot Yoga has been a complete game-changer for my mental, physical, and emotional health. Walked in today after few years of not being there and took a morning class with one of their teachers. She was very nice, kind, pleasant and knew her job well. They provide mat for $5.00 but, I didn't pay since I had my own mat with me. They also provide knee pads, blocks and bolsters. Bring yourself a bottle of water to hydrate yourself. Class lasted for 55 minutes. Class was not too difficult, and they go with the right pace to accommodate with beginners, and people who have been doing yoga for some time now. I really enjoyed the class and looking forward to going back. They have different prices for different classes and membership. For those who are interested. They also offer an online classes. Check the schedule. Place is clean, it's not too small, and can fit 14 to 17 people. Parking is in the back and that's all I have to say about today's visit. Namaste :-)

Its full service, so you just have to show up, and your mat and props are ready to go. She also offers water, tea, and fruit. I have tried a majority of the teachers and classes. So if you are new to the studio or to yoga, then I highly recommend signing up for the one week beginner trial and trying as many classes as you can to get a feel for all the different classes and teachers. There are many teachers who I love and connect with, and to be honest their are some who's teaching styles don't speak to me. That's the beauty of this place and all the options. I did see someone leave a one star review that only took one class, and said that this place is only for beginners. I've been doing yoga for years, and have taken Flow and Power Flow classes at this studio with Faye, Chantal, and Virginia where they tried to guide you through more advanced poses/ techniques. Even in the gentle flow classes that I've taken with Faye and Darby, they give you the space to make it your own practice and go into more advanced techniques if you have them in your practice during their class. They always offer different options for everyone in class, based on their experience/ practice/ body. I also highly recommend taking breathwork with Elaine on Monday nights and the sound bath on Sunday nights, and give it a second chance if you're tried it once before. The first time, its hard to get out of your head, but once you can get present and go with the flow of what your body needs, its a great experience. I always feel lighter afterwards.
