It's got some really lovely bits and pieces - Glasgow road signs, vintage map wall art, luggage cases, Shetland wool blankets, chandeliers, furniture as well as wee decorative pieces. One of my favourite finds was a glass pineapple that has a silver coating and now sits on my lounge room table. I didn't realise but they also have a shop through in Edinburgh and an online store. With fantastic customer service and great, unusual pieces, I'll definitely be popping in more often.

Or could it be the amazing multicoloured disco floor that makes me want to don a white suit and channel John Travolta - I'm going to be John Travolta partially because I can't remember the female characters name but more because I hated her dress and would look way better in a white flared suit! I loved Paperchase when it was a wee section of Borders bookshop. I mourned for its loss when Borders disappeared from Buchanan Street and Glasgow Fort. But there are not enough words for me to convey the strength of my passion for this muckle shine to all that is stationery. Oh and the fact that buying stationery is never going to make me regret eating cake with mean and nasty changing room mirrors is purely coincidental.

They sell much more than books and dresses - there's also some body products, statement necklaces and accessories as well as selection of homewares. A while back I got two really sweet bowls from a friend and Oliver Bonas had similar ones so I got another couple to add to the set. On the way to the register I also glanced at the cards and saw a perfect birthday card for my Mum, so I grabbed that. Then, while waiting to be served I turned and noticed the Korres body washes were two for £8 (normally £8 each) so grabbed those as well. As you can see, I'm like a bull in a china shop when I go into places like these. There is simply too much stuff that I want (need) and I can't resist. The service was friendly (although possibly a little robotic as the staff member who was serving me asked me the exact same question the other staff member asked her customer), and the prices aren't too bad - for that haul it was around £20. Will I be back? Of course - I can't stop thinking about their great selection of dresses. Oh dear.

I want to buy everything I can get my hands on, and that doesn't bode well with my checking account, but I do it anyway! Today, however, I decided that I would simply be browsing, to kill some time before heading home, and that's exactly what I did. Not only do they have an amazing spread of dresses and socks (cute as anything socks) but they also have books, jewlry, cards, candles and a wee section of kids stuff. It really is a shop full of quality products at reasonable prices. The staff are friendly to boot which is a nice touch in little shops such as this. They make you feel like the want you in their stores, even if just to have a look. There was one girl in there who knocked over and smashed a mug. One of the girls working in the shop quickly came over to help clean up the mess and the girl was so beyond apologetic, it took nothing short of actually giving the girl the broken mug to convince her that it was ok and that these things happen. I love this shop for a quick gift when my brain can't come up with ideas, and I love this shop for decorating tips, as the always have the shop decorated so perfectly. Anyway, I was on the hunt for a particular 'Glasgow Patter' tea towel and was guided here by my online personal shopper Briony (that's Yelp for you!). Sadly, they only had a Scots patter one, not the Weegie version, so my search continued. But it looks like a nice wee store if you're looking for a gift or greetings cards. Where my restrained buying for other people plans had failed spectacularly. By the time I had reached the till I had already decided this was going to be a five star review but then the wonderful staff at the till tried to help me lug the buggy up the stairs. I say tried because I may have been using the handy basket at the bottom of the buggy to hide all the books bought in Waterstones, meaning that the buggy weighed more than a family hatchback and actually couldn't be lifted even by two people and Puff just had to suck up bumped up the stairs. A great wee shop that I'll probably be back in again before Christmas. If only because I need some of the amazing Christmas cards with huge Rudolph noses and really my tree isn't going to be finished until I have a rocket decoration hanging from it. The store sells an array of items from cards and prints to jewellery and baby clothes. You'll find some top quality Scottish designer's ranges, some you might recognise and others just waiting to be discovered. On my last visit I bought Christmas presents for 3 different friends and they all loved their items and to be perfectly honest they are lucky managed to wrap them and not keep them for myself! Each time I've been in the staff have been lovely, even getting the door for me with A in his buggy. Stuffed full of prints, mugs, t-shirts and cards, mostly made by local artists and designers, this is a perfect place to pick up a gift that's unique and special. I popped in here on Saturday afternoon and, as is normally the case, I had nothing in mind I just fancied a browse. After thumbing through some prints and objet d'art I spotted an awesome yellow and white laser-cut image. This now looks totally at home in my living room. Be prepared to rummage a little when you come in - not in a jumble sale kinda way, it's actually part of the charm of this shop. The owner is happy to let you browse, pick things up and wander around. You won't be rushed and the staff won't try to up-sell. If your purchase is a gift, they'll even wrap it for you. Most of the items are pretty affordable, starting at a few pounds but for some bespoke items are a bit more expensive. And a handy wee 20% Yelp discount when you check in makes it all the more affordable. And I'd love to know the story behind the ceramic cow tiles by the door - which I guess to be from a previous use for the shop.

I've seen some truely unsual things in the window, things that I'd be proud to pretend I had thought out in detail as a perfect gift for somebody. Such as a gorgeous black and white striped umbrella with black trimming. It's been gracing Hyndland Road with its presence since 2004 - and aims to provide its customers with gifts from around the world with emphasis on items from local artists and designers. The shop is long and thin, but is very well set out and adorned by a stylish window display. Inside you will find everything from jewellery to stationary to lotions and potions and back again. There is a particular focus on homeware, and you will find a gorgeous selection of decorations and crockery. Last time I was there I fell completely in love with a set of dessert bowls - it was oh so tragic when I had to leave the shop without them. They also sell a selection of posh chocolates that go by the name of "Berry Scrumptious." Too cute to resist? I think so! Cassiopeia also have a great website that showcases a lot of their stock. Sadly you can't buy online - but they do offer a personal shopper service which is great if you're lost for ideas for a birthday present for someone special (or someone awkward).
