I brought up that I would like to have a baby and I feel that this location was my reign of luck. Shortly after, I became pregnant. I saw many doctors and each one did not fall short of wonderful. The nurses were also absolutely amazing. Up to the day of having my baby everything was just wonderful. When it was time to be induced, I was met with wonderful ladies in labor and maternity. Toward the end of my visit, I was so sad to go because it felt like it became home for me and the nurses felt as though I had known them for so long. My daughter Alessandra had a rough first week and came back in to be put in the NICU for Jaundice treatment. The entire time, the nurses were very welcoming and supportive. My daughter as I write this is now 3 weeks old and doing absolutely amazing. She excels every single day and is growing beautiful and healthy. I couldn't thank the whole team enough. It actually makes me look forward to hopefully having another child in the future because I definitely will be coming here if I still live in the area! Thank you to the team at NYPH! You're all loved!

Finding Ellen has been great, she's got such a nice mannerism and is a great communicator, I feel like I'm seeing friends when I go for an appointment! I sent my husband to see her before I had my first appointment because we'd heard great things about her and he's not had good experiences with doctors taking their time and listening to his concerns, but Ellen was wonderful. She took her time with him and listened to everything he had to say and sent him for more tests to follow up. After he had such a positive experience, I went to see her since I was looking for someone in our area and I liked her right away! She really listens to your concerns and offers REAL suggestions that actually make sense. Her nurse Susan is great too. I'm happy to finally have found a great practice to go to! And besides Cold Spring, they have offices in Yorktown, Cortlandt, Peekskill, Croton, and Putnam Valley.

Our Primary Care Provider, James Trapasso, DO, and his staff were unsupportive and borderline incompetent on several occasions regarding referrals, medications, and general advice. I also spent several years as a patient with the OB/GYN office and certified nurse midwife Maria Rosatto-Nierenberg, with similar experiences. Very nice woman, but, very hands-off care and mostly terrible staff (the one person I actually liked quit during the takeover by NYP). If you ARE seeking maternity and prenatal care, please know that they do all ultrasounds and testing at the hospital and through specialists which will cost you significantly more than if done in-house, which they are not equipped for. We discovered this and decided to switch providers after getting slammed with a large bill. For reference, an ultrasound at the hospital costs in excess of $1,000. The same ultrasound, performed in-house at MKMG/CareMount cost less than $500 - and you don't need to go to a hospital if you'd rather not during pregnancy. They also provide zero literature and resources during first-time pregnancies and are very tough to reach via phone when you do have a question. It once took two days for someone to return my call, and then they had no idea why I had called in the first place or who I was. I've experienced so many scheduling errors and snafu's with them, that I sadly could not trust them anymore. They also give you a very tough time when trying to obtain copies of blood work and other diagnostic tests, and everyone will give you a different response regarding HIPPA regulations. I tried to express my concerns and frustrations (being the hormonal pregnant woman that I was!) and the doctor was instantly defensive and told me I was "aggressive" and "threatening." No apology or interest in addressing my concerns. Yikes. We've since transferred our care to the Mount Kisco Medical Group, now called CareMount, and have had nothing but wonderful experiences, on all levels, from scheduling to doctor-patient relations. I learned MKMG/CareMount is part of an ACO (Accountable Care Organization) and keeps costs reasonable for the patient. Just a tip! The experiences we've had between the two groups are night and day. It breaks my heart to think quality of care can vary so much within the same region.

DISGUSTING, ANCIENT, HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. NEVER GO…read moreHERE EVEN IF IT'S AN EMERGENCY. IT'S A JOKE. My family moved here a year ago. I was pregnant at the time. Horrible OB/GYN department Linda the receptionist is though very kind. Nothing compared to what a civilian facility can provide. They do not listen to your concerns, they do not have any modern day techniques, nor do they give you any sonograms to see the baby after the gender is revealed. Honestly it was just a bottom line horrible experience. As far as the ER everything is decent unless your in pain and CADETS come in before or after you. They will definitely be the staff's main concern. My mother sat in the back while a cadet was being examined for a broke finger. My mother was having severe pain due to kidney stones and did not receive any pain medication for over an hour. It took until the evening shift swap for the new doctor to even ask. RADIOLOGY oh my gosh your best chance of getting an appointment is by calling NOW. Mother's ER visit was 10/07/14 was instructed by the ER DR. & PCM to get a MRI they had seen something that was concerning. Yeah it's 12/17/14 still no appointment they have called and moved her appointment then called and cancelled her appointment. We did everything as far as what we could do to work with them and THEY tell us yeah our tech is SICK & goes on LEAVE Monday so can't get you in till 01/15/15. Yeah while my mother is over here having to go through this rough time with no idea what's really going on with herself internally. I hate to write this review I just can't deal with this place. Best chance for any MILITARY FAMILY is to SWITCH to US FAMILY HEALTH PLAN. Luckily my son an I did an are now going to am amazing medial facility CRYSTAL RUN. Just hate for those who can not or unaware of how easy it is to switch an are stuck going to that tragic fail of a hospital.

In conversations before the bris, I knew that my friend was nervous about the process, the ceremony, and the actual circumcision. I can say with confidence that Dr. Rumbak put the family's mind at ease both with her expertise and her gentle approach. As a "spectator" at the ceremony, Dr. Rumbak passed around sheets so we can all follow along and feel part of the ceremony, and explained what different blessings meant. She also added some Jewish text in a modern and relevant way, which I appreciated, and my family continued to discuss post ceremony. The sweet baby did super well and was calm throughout the entire process. Truthfully, I didn't even know when the actual circumcision actually happened because she was so gentle and discrete. At the end of the ceremony, many people went up to Dr. Rumbak to compliment her on one of the best brit mila's they ever went to, and many asked for her card (including my mom for our temple!). She has a great business partner in Shachar, who socialized with the guests of the ceremony, kept everything organized, and was just an all around stand up guy. Oh, and how great that she is a mohel AND a doctor. Talk about putting your mind at ease..that will definitely do it. Highly recommend.

Would have loved so much to give a glowing review of Dr. Rumbak but unfortunately we look back on…read morethe day of my son's bris and what transpired after with a lot of sadness. Dr. Rumbak deserves credit and thanks for her discretion in not circumcising our son the day of his bris due to a urological condition she noticed in her ore-ceremony examination. We are thankful for that. She performed what essentially worked out to a baby naming ceremony for us. Obviously the day was emotional to begin with and the news she couldn't circumcise was extremely disappointing and heartbreaking since this was a day we looked forward to for so long. In the days after the bris we were able to absorb the events better and realized exactly what happened. To begin with, my wife asked for a program to keep as they were being collected (yes, collected), and the response was, "I collect them." She said the same to my mom (baby's grandma). We consider this ridiculous - even if the baby's grandparents couldn't have one, at least the parents should. When I emailed Dr. Rumbak about the issue I'm about to describe, I also mentioned the program and that part of my email was left unaddressed. Here's the major problem, though. We paid $800 for a circumcision plus $150 for travel from Manhattan to Nassau. We were happy to do this because we really liked Dr. Rumbak on the phone. However, after the bris, we had a bit of a realization that really irked us. Why were we never offered any kind of refund for the circumcision not being performed? It really should have been offered that day, on the spot, but it wasn't. Days and weeks turned to months and we still were never offered anything. We didn't even get an email or phone call to check on our son given the medical issue Dr. Rumbak identified. This was surprising given the emotional nature of the day but also because part of Dr. Rumbak's service (advertised on her web site and vouched for in her reviews) is her frequent follow up with the family. Finally after a few months, I emailed her explaining we feel we are owed some kind of refund due to the most critical part of the ceremony, the circumcision, not being performed. It is that expertise for which we paid. Dr. Rumbak issued a $200 refund, saying that the rate for a baby naming is $600. It's unfortunate such a beautiful day was soured by the experience we had. As new parents we feel we were, in a way, taken advantage of. Dr. Rumbak did ultimately give some money back, but we feel we shouldn't have had to ask. Experiences like this are what make people cynical about organized religion. The right thing to do would have been to give us a refund without us having to ask. We would not recommend her.
