Every other review site rated this clinic very highly so I decided to call here and make an appointment. Dr. Matthew was very welcoming and easy going. He was very engaged in learning my health history and how I've been suffering with chronic back pain for years. He completed his examination, which included a good amount of objective measures that we could compare to after some treatment. I was very impressed with his explanation about my problem and his approach to treating me for it. It made total sense, with a simple straightforward approach that would be reasonable and easy to manage. I received my first chiropractic adjustments on my first visit and could feel improvement immediately. On my second visit he introduced some stretches and strengthening exercises that I could do each do to support the treatment and progress as quickly as possible. I'm now two weeks into care with Dr. Matthew at Vellore Chiropractic & Wellness Centre and it has been the best decision about my back pain I've ever made. I'm very happy with my care and also with the service at this clinic and I strongly recommend Dr. Matthew!

My first appointment was a consultation which is normal under the circumstances, since I am a first time client, but the more the appointment went on, the more I felt like Dr. Bortulussi was trying to "sell" me a program - almost like visiting certain weight loss centres or people trying to sell "multi-level marketing". I made a second follow-up appointment and low-and-behold - he was trying to sell me on a year long "better living" program upwards of 3.5k. When I insisted and only said I was here to be on a pay-per-session basis, he kept trying to insist that I would need the WHOLE program to feel better. Needless to say I never returned and went elsewhere. I don't want to be conned because I'm desperate to be out of pain. HE is con-artist!

I had a disagreement with them over custom orthotics. When I emailed them to let them know I was…read moreunhappy because they did not fit in any of my shoes and ask for their help, the response was "as with any custom product it is final sale and alterations after the fact are not possible". At no point did I say I wanted a refund. I was not properly seen by any professional before these orthotics were made, something I plan to let my insurance company know. I also had to wait approx two months, which they claim was "out of their control". I was offered a $50 refund, but I had to let them know by the end of that day, and I didn't see the email in time because I was working. I have filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau (which they are not a member of) and I have an appointment with a podiatrist now to have them evaluated and adjusted if possible. While I have heard very good things about their other services, I would caution anyone about getting their orthotics from here.
