When I started out, I was focused on being a lawyer and didn't really embrace the fact that I also needed to run a business. In the short few months working with Kristen, I've made more tangible progress than I was able to do during years on my own dabbling with how to wear my business owner hat. I finally feel like there's a light at the end of the tunnel, like I'm gaining freedom from the perpetual overwhelm. I can't recommend Kristen highly enough!

I am confident you will not be disappointed in Maya! Her resource base is constantly growing & if…read moreshe does not offer what you need, she's happy to help you find it. It's easy to see that her true goal is to help people, whether that is directly with her or other resources. For example, while she does offer her own DBT class, she knows it's not the best fit for everyone & even promotes other DBT classes! Who does that?! Someone who truly wants to help. Maya does this. I started Maya's DBT class in late July & love it! I have been in two other DBT programs & Maya is by far the BEST of the three. The culture she sets up in class is open & promotes participants to share deeply on the material. Her insights are informative, making connections between topics & skills, which give everyone "ah-ha" moments. Maya is direct, encouraging, & shows us how to be powerful within ourselves to make effective decisions as well as changes in our perspectives & behaviors in a meaningful & lasting way. Her approach is unique & highly effective. I love her set up of everything. In addition to class time, she holds extra time after every class for people to further clarify points or get extra support & sets up extra time on other days for the same purpose (for free!). I also started 1:1 coaching with her to get myself in order & specifically to address and reduce my borderline personality disorder traits. Our goal is to get my symptoms so low that I no longer qualify for the diagnosis. Thus far, we have had three of eight sessions and I am already experiencing positive changes. She has given me extra times of support for free throughout the class & now with coaching. She does this with everyone! Maya works had to ensure you get the resources you need & make effective progress towards reaching your goals, whatever they may be! She gives tons of extra bits of resources constantly as things come up in class & during extra support times. Thank you so much, Maya! I look forward to continuing our work together.

I started working with Heather because I knew I needed help. I had little self-awareness of how…read morebadly I was treating myself, and the negative things I was telling myself about my life. I immediately felt Heather's calming and empathetic spirit the moment we started to talk. She listens and cares so deeply, and she gave me a sense of peace from our very first session. Finally, someone that gets me and cares so much - that she will beat these messages into me until even I will listen. She is a bright light in my life I know I can count on to always support me, to just "get me" and remind me of really important reminders in life. My greatest lessons from my sessions with Heather are life changers. The first is that loving myself and treating myself with kindness is the very first priority in life. The other is that everything is happening FOR me - not TO me. That no matter what happens, I can turn it into something good. She has helped me reframe the way I see things from my past and present so that they empower and not disempower me. Most recently, during this COVID19 crisis, Heather's teachings have brought back to front of mind the importance of being kind and gentle with myself when I slip into moments of fear, to comfort my inner child and to be purposeful and intentional about how I use this time. To live a life that is in alignment with my true desires, my values and how I most want to feel, I must pay attention. And to deeply appreciate the gift that it is to be alive, to see it as sacred and treat it as such. What I love about working with Heather is that she genuinely cares. There have been times where I text her with something I am going through and she is there. As a great friend would be. She has an intuition that sees me on the inside and knows how to push or remind at the exact right time where I need to tune in. I don't think I could ever find a more motivating and caring person to have by my side. I recommend if you are questioning the process or not sure, reach out to Heather and ask the questions. She is a pure gift that was added to my life - and I am so grateful!
