This was my first visit and I was definitely impressed with the large selection of home decor both inside and out. Really unique pieces of furniture, art, rugs and appliances. The prices were in line with some of the other large decor warehouses, but also cheaper than the more high end designer warehouses or stores. Same quality but maybe a little dusty. I will definitely be returning to this warehouse for my home decor needs. By the way, they have all your flooring needs, as well.

The showroom itself is beautiful and updated constantly to reflect the new arrivals and seasons. Staff is very helpful, Miss Scottlyn toured us around the floor and asked what we were interested in! I love that the staff wants to make thier pieces work with your existing home, and they're not going to try to sell you on an entire room of furniture. The merchandise itself is great, some prints of birds caught my eye, and I'm usually not a fan of mass-produced art at all. If you're looking for bed linens, this is a great place to check out! Comparable to Pottery Barn, but something a little bit different. Very happy to have Ballard in Birmingham, it's a great place to gather inspiration if nothing else.

The furniture, art, and other decorative pieces were gorgeous and priced really well. I became obsessed with a couple of items but wanted to measure before making a purchase. Steve happily provided his card in case things worked out. It's a pretty big store, and there is a lot to see. I'm sure there are many fabulous items, but it's not really a place to "stop in and check it out." I think you have to both be in the mood/frame-of-mind to really look at everything and have the time to do it. You could very easily spend all day there. "Just browsing" isn't going to cut it. That said, I had neither the time nor the inclination to spend the time to really give it a good shopping. Instead I found it overwhelming, so I just politely walked most of the aisles only looking at the things that really jumped out at me. Because it was a Saturday, there seemed to be a number of vendors there, so I'm sure there are some interesting stories to be told, and they could surely help if you're searching from something specific.

Actually, there is a little bit of everything that collectors hope to see at the Brass Bear at reasonable prices. In addition, parking is free and convenient at the front of the store.
