This is the only place other than the Y that I've found that has an olympic sized swimming pool. In fact, they have many, and they are heated. Pros: Wet/dry saunas Cardio machines as far as the eye can see, a majority of which I would say are functioning Good size weight area Variety of classes CLEANLINESS All staff are willing to help if you need anything Cons: At certain times, mostly when they have popular classes, the parking lot gets filled and you have to be careful of distracted drivers, texting....etc It's entertaining to watch the personal trainers, I've observed some interesting ways to have someone warm up...especially a male doing walking half squats or a female hitting the punching stand straight on...ouch. It can get a bit irritating when they have their clients on a piece of equipment and don't teach them proper etiquette... Nice gym, but pretentious and very expensive. It's a nightmare to try to take guests. Taking children is also terrible, even if they are members. You have to sign a consent form every single time and it has to be done before you get to the gym. The life cafe is a RIP OFF!! Food is not good and is overpriced. Every time I get something as simple as a salad the vegetables are soggy and seem as if they were frozen and reheated. They also don't blend their smoothies enough to get rid of the chunks. Group fitness classes are awesome, but honestly you could get the same thing at the Y. It's nice but there is something about it that frustrates me every time I come. read more

The staff is completely uninformed about the programs offered, the managers give robotic responses to complaints that don't provide relief for the member just increased frustration and the child care area is a joke if they consider what they provide supervision. ITS HUGE. Thats about all i can say. I mean how many different pieces of equipment do you need? Seriously they have 10 machines or more just for back. You can do 1 machine you don't need one for upper 1 for lower and all this. Most of your pro weight trainers today will tell you free weights and body weight as much as possible and cable machines only if needed. If you like classes its good for that because they have tons of classes for everything you can think of. CHILD CARE IS NO NO!!! Our daughter we use to take her when we were members a few years ago and she wouldn't go after about 2 times because older kids were pushing her or hurting her and no one was there to watch. We usually went in a down time and there was 1 maybe 2 adults in the child care. It was horrible experience for her and 1 time we came in to pick her up she was hiding under a table because an older kid was bothering her. She was only 3 at the time. We tried talking t the head of child care and the manager at the time said he would try to help but he could not do much as the gym only schedules 1 person during the day except during busy hours and even during busy hours if they had allot of kids they did not have enough people in there to watch the area. We now go to 10gym in owasso. Its 1 mile from our house and they have what we want. I miss going swimig and the eculutus spa was super nice but we pay $10 a month now each so $20 a month we were paying well over $100 a month for lifetime and for us just not worth it. 10gym does not have near the stuff but it has weights and the staff knows you if you come regularly and the child care is while small its great for younger kids. Not much for older kids while lifetime does win in that area. IN the end lifetime is to expensive unless you just take advantage of everything they have available. DONT USE THE CHILD CARE FOR YOUNGER KIDS!! read more

Good gym, but very pricey. Family membership will cost you almost $200 per month. Lots of cardio and free weights. Good mix of group fitness classes. Indoor and outdoor pools. No tennis courts or racquetball courts, which you would expect for that high of monthly dues. Lifetime also has have a spa and restaurant. Spa services are good. This review is for the spa. We used to be members of LT Fitness, before we moved across town & life changed. I decided to try the spa after we put a hold on our membership & I had some LT Bucks to use. I have very long, very very very very very very thick hair, so it's kind of a lot to deal with. The cost for a cut is $40, which is pretty decent for a good wash & cut. BUT LET ME TELL YOU: you get 3 free hours of childcare with any spa service, so this is a heck of a deal! I walk in, drop the kids at the kids center where they have a blast, then I go relax and get some mommy time. Afterwards, I can use the LT facilities (i.e. go work out, sit in the sauna, grab a smoothie, make some phone calls), too! My kids actually get excited to go, which puts my mind that much more at ease. The workers in the children's center seem to do a great job with the kids. In the spa, the staff has always been friendly and as helpful as can be. My stylist, Farah, is awesome & understands how to give a frazzled mommy of 3 (under 5) a nice, pampered experience. This gym is HUGE! It's comparable to the 24 hour Ultra Sport in California minus the indoor elliptical but their wall climbing area is bigger. Expensive, takes a lot of walking just to get to the locker rooms. People stare at you in the sitting areas as you walk by which makes me feel awkward. The cafe is overpriced for what you get. The new employees are nice however, and I love the yoga classes. The bathrooms are sometimes clean and sometimes dirty as hell with poop smeared everywhere. It's like a fitness resort. Can't go wrong with membership here. Pool, basketball, free weights, machines galore, rock climbing, free kid center with basketball, play areas, computer lab, outdoor yard...my 11-year old loves it! Lifetime has been a great place for our entire family, as it is a fun place to get fit. We enjoy the outdoor pool for a relaxing afternoon. Indoor pools for winter time. If I could give 0 stars I would. I've had absolutely terrible experiences with this facility. DO NOT sign up. There is clearly no training on communication within the business and their practices. I spoke with Steven a month ago and he assured me my account was cancelled and I wouldn't receive anymore charges and that someone would notify me that day about issuing a refund. However, I never heard from anyone... called corporate and was on hold over 30 min each time I called. Additionally, I was charged another amount at the beginning of this month even though my account was supposed to be on hold. For some reason the staff doesn't understand how policies and procedures are implemented as there have been conflicting information given to me each time.This is deplorable business practices. I spoke with someone yesterday and they again said they'd return my call to follow up and never did so I called yet AGAIN today and spoke with Roman. He is not the person you need to speak with, yet again referred me to corporate. I will never join again and will be letting my friends know that are currently members about these terrible practices. read more

I love the variety of activities and exercise equipment here. The rock climbing wall is unbelievable. There is never a shortage of cardio equipment. The equipment is new and works well. One thing I would like is a station with cleaning rags so I could wipe down the equipment before and after use. We are swimmers so we love coming here for the lap pools. There is usually at least one lane open, especially late in the evening. The only issue with the pools is that the hours can be a bit baffling. It's hard to tell when kids are allowed vs.when only 12 and up is allowed. Plus the swim lessons are a bit confusing . We've been asked to move by lifeguards to make room for swim lessons, but there were no signs or notices on which lanes were closed for lessons. The locker rooms are great. I love their locker setup because it holds our cards so we don't have keep track of our membership cards while exercising. There are always plenty of lockers available, even when the facility is extremely busy. The cafe is nice. The food there is actually pretty good. Some of the smoothies are a bit bland, but I think that's mostly cultural conditioning to over-sweetened smoothies everywhere else. read more

Lifetime fitness is an amazing gym with excellent facilities. There is no comparison in terms of quality and variety of services that is provided by lifetime. The gym has multiple pools, including an indoor and outdoor pool that is a perfect place to hangout on the weekends. Really glad to have such a great gym available in our town for a fraction of the price of most high quality gyms. I went in to get a workout in using a coworkers guest pass, since they get 12 a year. The lady at the front (mohawk style haircut) was very rude. My coworker wasn't with me, but he said he's had them just call him to verify it was "ok". She was not willing to work with me at all to get me in to workout for an hour. Horrible customer service. Been a member of LTF since they came to Illinois back in 2000. Glad that LTF is finally in Tulsa. Gym doesn't really compare to other gyms in the area. We've tried out the following in the Tulsa area: Gold's, Body Masters, Skye, All-American, A little 24/7 gym in Jenks, Body Defined (now closed), and Planet. Although Body Masters is a great gym, it really can't compete with LTF. Postives: Has every thing you'd ever need for a complete workout, nice big pool, good basketball courts, good location of gym, other LTF's are located around the country so if you travel you can still get a workout in. Negatives: Too freaking crowded between 5-7. Not open 24/7 like most LTF's. read more

I am a very large woman and I have to work out in water for the sake of my joints. Well, the members and instructors are so incredibly kind and helpful. The water aerobics class is challenging but with the help of my fellow classmates and the attention of the instructor I made it through. (proud moment) Oh and the Spa is heavenly and everyone is so courteous. I had my underarms waxed (minimal pain) and it has been the best treat I ever did for myself. Do not waste your money here...The gym itself is beautiful, there are tons of classes and the run group is amazing!!! Thankfully you can take part of the social runs twice per week without having to be a member. The problem - the customer service is non existent! If you have a problem, good luck. The people have no clue what they are doing or what anyone else there does so you can never quite seem to get to to the right person. I have never seen so many inept people in one place. And the arrogance of the sales people and member services manager is a unreal! Talk about a chip on their shoulder. There are some really good gyms in Tulsa - don't be distracted by all the shiny surfaces and big building. Lifetime is a very fun place! The only problem is it's so expensive! You could go to the YMCA and get a lot of the same stuff you get at lifetime but cheaper. Granite lifetime has more equipment and is more up to date. Besides that it is very kid friendly and has really nice workers. I recently reactivated my membership after taking a year off. I even tried another gym, closer to my home, but in the end I came back. Yes, it's a big "corporate" gym, but to be honest, it was not a hassle to hold my membership, and it was not a hassle to reactivate it. I enjoy swimming laps, and this is by far the most enjoyable gym I have ever been to in that regard. The pools are clean, not usually crowded. I've never had to share a lane (though I would, just never an issue). The cardio floor is enormous, with lots of windows and natural light. I've been to a few spin classes and they were great. I've used the childcare often. It's generally fairly busy with lots of kids running around. I will say after being away for a year, the same staff seem to still be there which says something. I routinely use the salon which is great as well. I personally just think it's a pleasant place, and worth the extra money for the amenities it provides. read more

Both my husband and I bought what was supposed to be an HOUR long massage at the Life Time Salon. My appointment was at 9 am but they don't open the salon til 9, so due to them setting up I didn't even get in the massage room til 15 min after the hour, which cut my massage to 45 minutes. We were even early for the appointment to ensure us getting the full 60 minutes. Also, the therapist wasn't very polite and I got the feeling she was in a hurry, which made me not able to relax. Go somewhere else if you want a relaxing massage!!! read more

Fitness center is large with many amenities, however; my experience with the staff on hand today was poor to say the least. I was a guest with a member and wanted to sign in to get through the basic gym procedure before my friend showed up, and was hassled right from the beginning by a girl named allyssa. She did not take my identification but instead said that i could not be a guest today without buying a $20 guest pass. I tried to explain that my friend was a member and i wanted to get through procedure. Another woman approached us and tried to remedy the issue by saying the same thing without knowing the situation. I relieved myself from the barrage of up selling by seating myself until my friend arrived. When he arrived we went through the whole ordeal again with nick ending it by checking my i.d. and asking if my pre workout was kicking in; along with the harpys standing closely behind as if examining the masterful customer service skills. I, Zach Cox, am dissatisfied with how I was treated like a wild free loader and i would not recommend lifetime to anyone. Goodbye and happy lifting. read more

I have had a family membership since they opened and you will pay for a membership there so while it is a nice big gym, you will pay for it. We paid $165 a month for a family membership and recently had to relocate an hour and a half away. We called and decided to place our membership on hold for $15 a month until a Lifetime being built in our new location was going to be open which is next September. It was no problem to place on hold they said so we were feeling good about everything and then we get charged full price for September....obviously there was a communication breakdown so we call and talk to Tyler who informed us they need 30 days notice. We weren't even cancelling just placing on hold so we asked if he could fix it for us as we have been in our new location for several weeks now but no he wasn't willing to help in any way. So instead of placing our membership on hold at $15 a month for the next year and then becoming full members again we are cancelling completely so thanks for the great customer service Tyler. We won't be paying another penny. So keep in mind when making any changes to your account, not just cancelling it will take 30 days notice and you will be charged full price another month, whether it's placing memberships on hold or changing your personal training plan or anything at all. read more
