I can't really ask for more from a gym. Yeah, yeah, yeah - it's pricey. I think I pay something like $85 a month which includes on site daycare for my son. Well worth it, considering ... - Open 24/7 - Two large pools - one outdoor, one indoor. The outdoor pool looks like it came out of an amusement park, slides and all. Also another dedicated lap pool inside. - Two large hot tubs. Yes, kinda sketchy. But not as sketchy as the hot tubs you've used on vacation at those resorts you stayed at. At least here you know they're not filming Hot Tub Honeys 4. - Steam rooms, saunas, other random rooms made out of exotic woods. Seriously. If you just want to sit and sweat, this is heaven for you. - Rock climbing ROOM. Not one wall, kids. Think a mini sport rock. - Two full size basketball courts. - More cardio equipment then you could possibly imagine. Sadly, only two concept 2 rowers. Luckily, I might be one of the only people in the whole damn gym that uses them. Hope it stays that way. - Mind boggling number of classes and activities. Remember that class catalog you used to thumb through back in college, looking for that perfect 11:00 a.m. start? This will give you flashbacks. - Well equipped free weight section. They put the dead lift station right next to the Life Spa (yes, there is a full service spa in the gym here). Nobody came out and screamed at me that I was ruining their hot rock massage as I was dropping the bar. Also plenty of machines if that's your thing. - On site cafe, which is actually damn good. The grilled chicken, basil and buffalo mozzarella sandwich I had was delicious. Plenty of menu options from salads, sandwiches to smoothies. They still need to work out the service kinks, but I chalk that up to opening jitters. - Kids daycare ... let's see, movies on the flat screen, jungle tube gym from hell, iMac computer lab, indoor basketball court/gym, covered astroturf field outside - yeah, you wish you had it so good as a kid. - Free towel service and lockers. Free wifi for those folks who absolutely, positively must update their Facebook status between sets. Money well spent! read more

Looks like a lot of people like to write long reviews. Well I will keep it nice and short. The gym it self is clean and looks great in the inside. Everything is kept clean but the one thing that it lacks is that "friends/family" feel. Where you start knowing the people in the front desk or the managers there (the ones that sign you up but have never worked out in their lives). You can find any gym that will fit your needs but if you're willing to spend almost $100 a month on a gym it shouldn't feel so "corporate". With that being said I was left with a bad taste from Life Time because of the people who work their. One moment they tell you one thing and the other (the managers) tell you something else. Now I'm sure this happens a lot in places but I'm not that customer to get mad and is always calm but once I got connected to a lady who I assume was a manager or a head person everything went down hill. 1) She was rude as f*** 2) She seemed more mad at me calling than them making a mistake. 3) The tone of voice she was talking in was so mean and rude that at times when I told her "I'm not mad or anything so idk why you are talking like this" she would apologize. 4) She didn't know how to explain how their own policy works because I would correct her on what she said and she would change it. I SWEAR!! I'm such a calm person and don't like to argue or fight but she was so freaking rude and had such a bad attitude. After that I've decided that I will close my account forever. I don't even write bad reviews on yelp but LTF just needs to check twice on the people they hire. I would say for the area this is one of the cleanest gyms Iv been too with quite the plethora of amenities. its the only 1 of 3 gyms in my close vicinity that has a pool. The Mens locker room does not smell and its 1 of 2 gyms that offers free towel service. I read alot of other reviews on this place, and been going to this gym for 6+ months id like to state some facts to clear things up. The place i feel changes occasionally with its little perks, the mens room has disposable razors, shaving cream and mouth wash as well as hair driers and q-tips. I did not see alot of this when i first joined but i do remember there being shampoo and conditioner and lotion. Now these three don't exists, but the showers do have this kinda universal shower foam. Going to 4/5 gyms in my area, i feel this does have a large free weights section but when things are busy, the benches are many times filled. Golds gym does have more but they dont have a pool and some of the other extras like a rock climbing wall, or out door water slides. So its give or take. I do feel they have a few too many treadmills and could use more free weights. I don't know much bout the child care section, i have no kids, and i read a lot of complaints about it, those could be true as the major downfall of this gym is the staff and the people who work here. They are about as good as useless. I do not have an issue when i go with kids running around the place bothering me but then again i do go later in the evening. The MyLT bucks stuff is as good as pointless waste of crap. You cant use it at the salon/spa or to buy anything of material. Is is really only good for over priced classes and sessions with trainers. You can get 30% off of the salon, but there are so many caveats and stipulations to this it makes it as good as useless. I don't care to use the salon either as i tried to get a haircut there and it was horrible. I don't trust any of those places for a professional service. The rock climbing wall and the pools do have hours and are NOT 24/7. They don't publish their rates and i feel this maybe a way they can charge ppl diff rates. Everyone should comment on how much they pay, id like to know what type of rates they offer. I personally pay $70/mo. It is by far one of the most expensive gyms in the area but you pay for the aesthetics. As i said the reason i give it a 3 star, is for the personel. Everyone who works here seems to be helpless, every now and then you run into a nice one that smiles, but most don't care to help and don't really give you that friendly smile attitude you'd expect for paying a premium. Waaay over priced! $84 for a single membership? The salesman, Greg Smythe is a pompous used car dealer sleaze. Didn't look like he had any idea what a gym is supposed to be, let alone how it should be used. Clown kept trying to steer me towards the locker room showers, if they don't spit out dollar bills like rain I couldn't care less. The restaurant was packed, rock climbing wall was crowded, little kids running around everywhere and the weight room is a full of outdated cheap machines and free-weights that are in one area where you have to cross in front of other users to utilize. Nice facility if you like spending your money on something you'll only use 25% of it's entirety. Greg told me the monthly is $84, but I better act now, because next week it goes up 25%! Ok, I have been a member of Lifetime for a little over a year now and I feel better able to comment more on the experience. So here are the pros and cons. PRO: Large facility with tons of cardio equipment Great Indoor and Outdoor Pools An awesome Kids Club Rock climbing Wall Multiple full size basketball courts Tons of classes (Yoga, Pilates, swimming, etc.) In-house full cafe Spa Salon for those so inclined Towel service 24 hour access CON: Very expensive Locker Rooms and Shower areas could be cleaner Mediocre customer service Weight Training equipment could be larger Lifetime is easily one of the largest and most extensive gym to work out at in the area. Its a very family friendly facility and there is alot of support for families with the kids club and summer camps. The biggest drawback is the price. It costs me $200 for a family of 4. Sales is highly responsive until you are signed up, then that relationship is over. So if your expecting your sales rep to provide service after the sale, don't expect it. The outdoor pool gets crazy busy during the summer and its close proximity to the airport, means big jets buzzing over you low and slow on approach from time to time. So now that my wife and I have been going to this location for awhile I think I can write a fair review on it. Crowds: New Years resolution crowd aside (they'll be gone by mid-Feb...) most of the time I've been here there has been an abundant amount of usable equipment with no waits. Its actually nice they have a section for more cross fit style workouts and bumper plates as well as a lot of free weights in general. I typically go around 6pm to 8pm which is prime time and has only been recently crowded because of New years folks... Facilities: For the most part I have found the facility clean and machines all in good condition. They occasionally run low on towels which stinks but they are at least apologetic when it happens and worse case scenario is you grab a towel from the locker room which they always have in stock. They also have free deodorant, shower soap, shampoo, razors and etc in the locker rooms which is sweet for when you forget your own stuff.... Staff: My wife is an NPTI certified trainer so I really don't need to pay others but my observation is just like every other gym I've been to where you need to be very picky who you choose there... I watched trainers let folks use obviously too much weight with extremely bad form there. They are very pricy and with most staff trainers you get probably a 2 in 5 ration of good to bad. My advice is to watch them train other people, but also price out outside trainers. The general manager seems pretty nice and goes around asking how things are (I believe his name is Frank and he seems personable). The front desk staff is much better now and I think the gym read through some of the reviews and made the front desk experience more personable. We actually play some sports with some of the staff members and they have all been awesome. Events: We did one event. The 90 Day challenge which in theory is great, but was run terribly out of our location. They consistently entered measurements in incorrectly, switched to a different measurement technique half way through which threw off everyone's numbers because the weight and fat loss measurements were entirely different (for example people who had lost weight were now showing as gained because the initial weight was off...) Even when handed the math on how to adjust the calculation it was still off. My advice is to stay away from events like that one as its extra money and a waste. Classes: Free classes our great and a lot of fun. I highly recommend taking advantage of them. The kids swim lessons are also great. The pay classes like Alpha which is LFT's version of Crossfit without having to pay the fees to call it that is overpriced as hell. I recommend sticking to the free classes as you are already paying an arm and a leg to go to the gym. No need to add other appendages... Kids area/Child Care: ABSOLUTELY FREAKING AMAZING! Nothing else to say here. The folks working there do a great job keeping the kids engaged and our son absolutely loves it. Overall if you are the kind of person who just needs a simple brick and mortar gym with free weights then this might be overkill for you. Its got a spa-like atmosphere... Hell its got a spa in it lol! Its expensive but for my wife and I its well worth it. We go probably 6 times a week so its our second home... Side Note: If you are the kid of person who likes to go to the gym and hang out and converse that's cool, but please please please don't hang out and BS on equipment. Our family has been a member of Lifetime Fitness for over 2+ years. We just cancelled our membership! I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS GYM, ESPECIALLY THE PERSONAL TRAINING. The personal trainers are KNOWN for inflating the fee's hoping the client will not notice. This has happened to numerous people I know. We were charged an extra $1,200!!! The staff also comes & goes at this location, very high turnover. If you decide to join Lifetime in Stelring/Ashburn I recommend that you do not sign up for ANYTHING that charges a fee. read more

This is by far, the cleanest, nicest gym I have ever set foot in. One day, I will be able to afford the monthly fee, but until then, I will live off the guest passes that they hand out. For starters, everyone is super nice and the sales staff could care less if you can afford their pricey gym. To me, the mentality is, "If you can't afford the $80 something dollars monthly fee, then we don't want your kind here". And guess what?? I love it!! Lifetime Fitness is not like other gyms that call you and harass you with their monthly specials. They KNOW they offer a quality product and they have every reason to be cocky. There are hundreds of cardio machines and free weights. Even during the new year, I am confident, you will never have to wait to use an equipment. If cardio machines aren't your thing, then they have a plethora of fitness classes for your fitness needs. They even have a rock climbing wall! If you hate exercising, **ahem**, then you will still enjoy yourself in the cafe or at the spa. Yep, I said it. Eat or massage your way into oblivion. Lastly, cool off in the indoor/outdoor pools that are never crowded and always blue (yes, color matters). As far as the gym facility goes, this place is fantastic. There are endless machines, cardio and otherwise. The locker rooms are generally pristine, with plenty of storage lockers and well-stocked/equipped with towels, hair dryers, scales, sauna etc. The classes have been pretty fun and a great work out as well. The reduction in my score (3 stars) is related entirely to the fact that this gym does nothing to enforece the SUPPOSED policy that the gym floor is closed to children under 12, and that even those children are supposed to be supervised. The few parents who leave their kids to crank up the treadmill to 15 mph to see how long they can keep up provide, at the very least, an annoying distraction for $80 - $130 per month, and probably result in enhanced wear and tear on the machines. The plenty of tweens who are there WITH their parents and/or who are really interested in fitness are really quite inspiring. Otherwise, not so much. What good is a policy if it isn't enforced? I think this gym, on it's equipment and facilities merits, is a good deal. Just make sure that you are aware of your tolerance level for unsupervised children - they are everywhere. read more

I have a love/hate relationship with Lifetime Fitness. So where does the hate come in - I have the hardest time getting in the car to make the trip. It's an easy drive from South Riding, but I apparently am a procrastinator that would prefer to sit her lazy butt at home. Once there though, the love affair begins. This place appeals to the gym snob in me so I absolutely love the facility. Tons of amenities, all the newest equipment, 2 pools to include one outdoors, snack bar, spa, clean locker rooms, towels, tons of classes, personal trainers, events - truly, whatever you want your gym experience to be, you can make it happen here. Once I am here, I really enjoy my workout. Rarely do I have to wait for a machine and this is even visiting during peak times. The variety of cardio and weight machines is outstanding. The staff has always been friendly - we are greeted with a smile every time we come in and when we leave, someone always yells goodbye. We even had a good experience with the sales staff. It is expensive, but in my opinion worth the expense (plus the expense is a great motivator to keep on coming). read more

This gym is great!! Life Time Fitness really is a high quality workout facility. The pool is great, it has two water slides and multiple lap lanes. It's sort of like a mini waterpark. That in itself is awesome. The indoor pool isn't as exciting but still good for swim lessons and the hot tub is so relaxing. The workout center upstairs is clean, and there are no annoying children running around. A great place to burn some calories. The machines have TV's that work like iPads. You can surf the web, listen to the radio, and watch TV. They recently added a new water system that automatically fills your water bottle. The kids center is phenomenal! The counselors really know how to deal with kids. The Life Cafe is also nice. It serves healthy food that actually tastes quite good. The price may be an obstacle for many people as it is high but it is well worth the money. Five stars!! read more

Come for THE AMENITIES Stay for THE LACK OF CROWDS I've been to many of the Lifetime Fitness centers in the area. The Fairfax and Centreville locations are far too crowded for my liking. You will NEVER run into the issue with this Loudoun location. I have been here in various times of the day...before work, after work, weekends...and it's never felt crowded nor have I waited too long to use equipment. The gym is huge. It's got all the necessary workout amenities and then some. It's got huge swimming pools (both indoor and outdoor), two full basketball courts, a nice spa, a great cafe, spacious locker rooms, yoga/pilates rooms, dance stuidios, and for gym-goers with kids - there's a play area for kids complete with staff supervision. The only downside is that the staff isn't as friendly as you would like. For the price you are paying to use the gym, you'd hope that the staff would deliver a more enjoyable experience. The front desk usually has some friendly people but many of the trainers tend to be a bit indifferent. I didn't think it would bother me at first, but the more and more I noticed it, the more it actually did. My advice - workout with some headphones on and just stay focused. Don't let some of the grumpy staff hinder a good workout. read more

I am giving this club five stars despite one gripe, because I think it's that good. my gripe, is despite repeated requests I could never seem to workout and watch the NBA playoffs on TNT, a station they carried. which was ridiculous... but I digress. Five stars because: Day Care ***** I have a 2.5 year old that is not in regular daycare and has never taken to any daycare, such as church. But.. I can actually stick her here, it's awesome, way better than Reston YMCA. Pool(s) I belong to 20+ pools, (Reston association, Northern Virginia parks gold pass, Military, Hurricane Harbor season pass) and this is the best pool. Sterling - LifeTime. The outdoor pool has perfect slides for my almost five year old, and no height restriction if you can swim. and my daughter can walk almost anywhere in the huge pool, so I can relax by the pool. its not rough like other pools, so no bumps and bruises. Cafe Great prices, great food, kids meals are cheaper and healthier than fast food, and adults cheaper than panera. Rock Climbing wall, way better than REI, minimum age is 5, they even have a rock climbing camp for the little ones, and certification class. Convenience, customer service. don't have your member card, no problem they give you a temporary locker key, if you are like me and constantly forget it, you're covered. keys are your locker room locker keys. so you don't have to bring or remember any kind of combination. Locker rooms, awesome, lots of showers, don't have to bring your own lock. read more

I had been a member of the LifeTime club in Reston for a good couple of years before downgrading to the Sterling location both membership-wise and service-wise. The temperature has never worked right in the locker room, the floor is super wet and slippery, I have never seen anyone working inside the locker room, something I used to see in Reston's location all the time. I made my peace with this downgrade as this Sterling location is closer to my work. But certainly, you get what you pay for which by the way is not cheap, but it's $80 vs $110 at Reston. I can live with impossible to breath locker room temperature and super wet slippery floors and the doors all being open and dirty showers. What I can't live with, is being treated poorly and being rude to by the staff: Today the AC was completely down and broken in the locker room, you could feel the hot air in the lobby even while walking to the locker room. So it was dangerously hot and humid in the locker room itself and we all started sweating even right after the shower. We couldn't even breath, it was too dangerous. There were signs about this issue on the entrance of the locker room. After I took a shower, I went to ask one of the staff named Ashley Pappas who was sitting in an office and she was extremely rude and unprofessional toward me from the get go: I said: Good morning, I was just wondering when the repairmen are coming to fix this AC and humidity issue in the locker room? Ashley said: what issue? I said the humidity and AC issue. Ashley said: We have signs everywhere I said: I understand, my question is when are they coming to fix it Ashley said: I don't know what you're talking about. I must have repeated the above conversation with her for a good seven minutes before I found out she is making fun of me, my accent and is playing me by going into circles. So I finally had it and said: Why aren't you answering a simple question? I an very upset and late for work. She says: What do you ask? You didn't ask a question! You are coming into my office raising your voice, you need to leave! I asked if she can just ask someone to tell me when they are coming to fix the issues. That's a simple question. She says: We have a lot of issues in the building which one are you referring to. I couldn't believe this is happening, she officially was making fun of me by pretending that she doesn't understand a word I am saying nor she is interested in even trying to help me. She got up and came and asked me to leave without letting me talk to a supervisor or anything. I then went to the front desk staff and they were super nice and professional and said that they are very sorry to hear that there is a problem, they are going to address that issue, the part has been ordered and they are coming tomorrow to install it, plain and simple. Ashley Pappas was intentionally going in circles to make fun of me. This is unacceptable. I reported this to the management immediately. I called and left a message for the club manager Chris. Also contacted the general guest relation online. Chris called me a couple minutes ago, very nice of him. I still cannot believe how someone can treat another human being like that and make fun of them. read more

Here's the scoop. -The FREE classes are awesome (not the fee based ones)- so if you're looking for great classes, with creative, knowledgeable, friendly ass-kicking instructors- this is where you'll find them (not at 24 Hour or Golds)... These classes are the sole reason i'm willing to pay $80/month- because if you actually go to them they are worth the money!! -The personal trainers (and i dont mean just 1 or 2, i've come to this conclusion after watching many diff ones for months)- seem awful (the one I had was really bad, basically kept me on the machines when i specifically said i prefer free weights and i barely broke a sweat)... I've watched many different trainers here and none of them push their clients, one time i was working out next to a trainer and client who were having a convo about beer and every now and then the trainer would tell the client to do something- obviously this guy wasn't going to loose any weight or achieve his goal with this trainer. IMO the trainers here are a waste of money. - The 'boot camp" classes and other classes that you PAY for seem terrible (probably due to the issue I just mentioned above)..they move at a snail's pace, and the trainers just stand there with their watch and don't actually motivate the people to work harder or give their max effort (isn't the motivation one of the reasons you pay for a trainer/class??) - Pilates instructors are awesome (the free ones, idk about the fee based ones) - They call their enrollment fee an "admin fee" so they can get away with saying there is no enrollment fee, when if fact there actually is- its negotiable- work your charm people! -pools/ jacuzzi/ locker room/ sauna/ steam room- all very clean and i will actually walk barefoot if i reaaaally have to - there is always parking (for those who say it sux, its because they have to walk a little bit if they go between 5-7pm) - The Spa- awesome facials and massages!!! terrible hair cuts -the rock wall- is not open before 5pm! and isn't that great anyway read more

***This review is limited to my tour and trial workout day.*** I checked out Lifetime last weekend with the intention of considering a single membership. I was mostly only interested in using the machines and taking yoga classes. I decided not to join Lifetime because their policy does not allow for family members to share memberships; I would have liked for my mother and I to alternate visits. Considering its $88 monthly fee for one person, I had a difficult time justifying the price just for myself with my busy work schedule. My tour and impression of the facilities, however, were very positive. Brandon Capo gave me an extensive tour of the building and explained the policies and membership application. He was forthcoming, courteous, and not too pushy, which I appreciated. The place was clean and well-managed, even for a Sunday evening. The workout floor was extensive with plenty of machines of all varieties. I especially liked that each treadmill and stationary bicycle came with its own touchscreen TV. It had basic and cable channel options (not too many but I wasn't complaining with E! and CNN) and additional features like a phone charging station and adjustable air-conditioning vents. One nifty feature gave the option of choosing an outdoors landscape that, based on its topography, controlled the elevation on the treadmill as you ran/walked. I thought the best part of the membership were the free all-inclusive workout classes that were offered every day. Among other types, I remember there was SoulCycle and Bikram yoga. If I had a more flexible schedule, I think I'd get my money's worth out of the membership just by taking advantage of all the yoga and Pilates classes! The classes are presently taught by a rotation of six instructors. The yoga studio was beautiful and accommodated hot yoga as well. I only briefly went through the locker room, saunas, and showers, which seemed clean. Towels and other accessories were available for use. The gym seems very family-friendly. They offer childcare services and even had family locker rooms to accommodate both genders in separated stations. The only "complaint" I have isn't necessarily negative, but curious: I distinctly remember not giving away my cellphone number, at sign-in and when speaking with Brandon. I did not give my residential address either, only my email. I don't know what kind of technology capabilities they have --- I did sign on to their free Wifi from my phone --- but Brandon contacted me the next day (and for several days thereafter) on my cellphone. It didn't occur to me immediately that they had possessed this information without my consent --- otherwise I would have been direct and asked. (I also don't have my phone number on my email signature.) I thought it very odd. read more

This is one of the best gyms in the NCR. It is not cheap but it offers many options. Lots of cardio equipment and models. It has an open structure so it never feels claustrophobic. The pool area is a kids paradise and for the parents too. The classes are many and the cardio options are great. This is the best gym in Loudoun county. Always clean, a lot of towels, perfect bathrooms, not overcrowded, employees are polite and professional. Kids academy provides the best child care in the area. They also have a really good spa salon. I have been a member with Lifetime since 2016 and absolutely love it. I wanna reach out to all the managers and employees of Lifetime and thank them for making my time spent here so special. This is an amazing gym, more like a small city, it even has a cafe and a salon. Just joined a few months ago and I have a feeling there are tons of benefits I'm not taking advantage of (my sales rep left the company, it would have been nice if a new one called and asked if they could help in any way). I've been impressed with the instructors, never had any problems getting on equipment (except for the first week after New Year's), and everything is always very clean. Overall, very happy. Like others have commented, it is a little spendy and a little far (open one in Leesburg please), but I think in the long run it is worth it. read more

I've belonged to life time for a few years now and recently it's been below average equipment. Pieces are missing. People leave their towels all around. Trash is everywhere. This facility is amazing. It is a bit expensive, especially if you do continuous training. That being said, it is completely worth it. The front staff are very friendly and always eager to help. The sales staff don't harrass me or ever contact me. If I have a question regarding my membership, they willingly help. They have 2 indoor pools that are never crowded and the swimmer's pool always has a lane open. They have buoys and kickboards for you to utilize. Sitting in the sauna or steam room after a hard workout feels incredible and you can do it all from the comfort of the locker room. The referral program is pretty awesome. If I refer someone and they sign up, I get $200 to use at any time, anywhere in the facility. Yes, that includes the spa! For parents, I have heard the Kid's Club is pretty nice, but I have no direct experience. read more

It's a fancy gym. You'll love it, but your wallet may not. haha So, I like Lifetime... in fact, I only recently contemplated canceling my membership. .....I go here to make sure my curves dont turn into lumps, ok? LOL, just so you all understand my position ahead of time. I pay $81 a month. It's expensive. The gym is clean, the amenities are amazing, there's always a machine open, and above all... when you're there, you WANT to work your hardest to be fit. If I had the extra loot to continue to go (and I didnt have a free community gym/free work gym) I probably wouldnt leave. I'll back up what another yelper said.... I only know one person there, Nick, the guy that signed me up. He waves from time to time, but other than when I first signed up and had a card misplacement issue a few months ago... we havent had a conversation. None of the other people that work there have really attempted to build a relationship with me. Maybe I don't go frequently enough? Bottomline - they seem more interested in bringing money in the door than working with people who are already members. Side note... *Culturally*, this is a place for the serious gym-goer. read more

This gym is great! I have been a member for a over a year now. It did take me that long to join the classes and get all aboard! I take Spinning, Core, Balanced, Swimming, yoga and a few others. All the instructors I have classes with (Mike K, Denyse, Ashlee and Kelly S) are happy to answer questions and are aware of proper body dynamics.One of the Cycle girls stayed after class and measured us (with a bike tool) on proper bike fit! The people here are also great. No worries of beefcakes hitting on you or men peacocking around you. It is a respectful atmosphere. People are here to get fit. You may even meet a few activity partners. I am enjoying my few gym buddies! We will be doing some outside running and cycling this summer! I gave it less one star because of the monthly fee that is not fixed. There are lot of kids running around with more in the summer. They do have a family locker room and wish they would use them! In sum, this gym far surpasses the other gyms in the area! read more

This review is for the Lifetime that just opened up in Reston, I guess they dont have it on YELP yet. My daughter and I just joined this gym two months ago, she is 11. I love it. The gym is clean with a lot of amenities. It's a great place if you have a family-I can see singletons getting annoyed by it, because there are a lot of kids running around. The fees are VERY pricey, but IMO worth it. We use the pool a lot and I will start doing group classes soon. Compared to the gym I came from (Fitness First now Golds) this place is a Mecca of gyms. My only complaint, the staff so far isnt super friendly. The guy who signed me up looked bored and kind of had an attitude, but whatever. read more

I decided to get a blowout at LifeTime Spa in Sterling/Ashburn. I was greeted by the sweetest lady named Fariba! She was so pleasant and very interesting to talk to. She advised me on the importance of regular haircuts to maintain healthy hair. I was so impressed with how knowledgeable she was and how great my blowout was coming along that I booked a haircut and another blowout for the following week before she was even finished. I've also had her deep conditioning and so happy with the results. I'm mostly happy that I finally found someone I am comfortable with who is very skilled since my move to the area a year ago! read more

this place is so much better then other two locations. even though its further away its well worth ur trip plus it doesn't get that crowded after 11pm or so.this place keeps me motivated since i spent like more than 1hr on the gym doing cardios. I shall say their showers are awesome with glass windows and spacious steam room. normally i work out here on weekends and sometimes at latenights after work. its good location. New machines to go around clean, and this location keeps u motivated than centreville location. it's worth ur money if u have plantinum membership. again avoid rush hour or come in after child care closes they're so many kids running around that could get annoying. it's right off waxpool rd after passing wegmans dulles 28 center. read more

I LOVE this gym! The locker rooms are great. Many little things are provided like make up removing wipes, q-tips, hairspray, hair dryers, razors, lotion, deodorant, shampoo, conditioner, etc. Which is fantastic for those crazy days when something may have been left at home. For the most part, the showers, sauna, and locker area are clean. The equipment is top notch and man is there a ton of every machine! I have never had to wait to use anything. The yoga studio is beautiful and I really like how it's heated. The crossfit area and the two class studios are pretty neat. Overall the facility is clean and rarely crowded. I can't speak for all the trainers but Will S. has been awesome! Very patient and genuinely wants to help you reach your goals. The sales staff as well as the front desk staff have always been really friendly and helpful. The Cafe is a little pricey but the food is fantastic! Monthly membership fee is a bit steep but completely worth it in my opinion! read more

Got a cut, color, deep conditioning and blow out at Life Time Fitness Spa 2 weeks ago. Sergei at the front desk was delightful and immediately offered me a glass of water and showed me to the waiting area. RJ greeted me and made me feel very welcome. Fariba did an amazing job on my hair - the color was perfect as was the cut and blow out. Just thinking about the head massage as she washed my hair relaxes me :) Everyone was smiling and friendly to their clients and to each other. Ditto to everything Sam R. said. Now my two cents... I hate gyms. But this place makes me feel as if I have exclusive access to the amenities at a nice hotel. The pools ROCK - they have "beach walkout" so my very young girls can just walk into the pool without going down stairs. They provide towels, locks, and everyone is friendly. I was told the price of membership before I went, and all I thought was that I couldn't afford it. Now that I'm a member, I can't afford NOT to have a membership. I actually work out and USE my membership here, unlike any other gym I've belonged to. And the child care? AWESOME. SECURE. FRIENDLY. Last but not least, you don't have to sign a contract. Give 30 days notice and you can cancel without penalties. Nice. Bottom line? Join. It rocks!! read more

This is a beautiful facility with an impressive fitness class schedule and everything you could ever want. Power plate, body fat calculator, immaculate locker rooms, several different kinds of yoga. I joined in May and cancelled today. I like the place over-all: decent weights and cardio equipment. I would have not cancelled if they didn't frequently over bill and then ignore calls/emails when asking what's going on and to please correct - customer service is lacking. Pro's: swimming pools, large facilities, decent selection of equipment. Cons: If anything does go south, don't count on any customer service. Like I said, they pushed me to cancel because of lousy customer service over simple to resolve, tiny billing issues. If you do experience issues, they don't care. If you manage not to experience any issues, you should be fine. They just lost $2,148 per year from me at their current rates. Oh, after a few months they started billing $1.99 for a non-existing magazine I didn't request and was not told about and never received. Next stop: The Fitness Equation (One Loudoun) read more
