I NEVER thought I'd pay this much ($90/month) but I can't quit this gym! The keys for me are their great yoga classes and instructors (just as good as any studio) and their three lap pools where I can always find a lane. Being open 24 hours a day is wonderful and even when they adjust their hours on holidays, they're workable. At peak times, the parking lot can get crazy, but you'd never know once you get inside because it's so big, you don't have to wait for a machine or a shower. It's very family friendly, which to someone without kids means crawling with kids during summers and other school breaks, but they're not allowed upstairs in the "gym" so it's just dealing with it at the pool or in the locker rooms. read more

I just signed up about a week ago and my fiancee and I have been almost everyday since. We consider ourselves gym rats, we are usually there everyday if not twice a day. The little extras go along way. We went to a couple cycle classes and it was so fun. The bikes were all new and in great condition. We didn't have to fuss with wobbly bikes or broken peddle straps. They have clean towels in the room along with ear plugs. The surround system is awesome, they have slide down projector screens with music videos. It was fun and motivating. The weight room and crossfit area( or the playground as we call it) it the best I have seen. All the equipment is meticulously maintained, it's well spread out and there is more than enough machines/weights even during rush hour. We also spent sometime at the sauna and outdoor pool. Has a resort feel. Only thing missing was a post work out mimosa! I will say it's a bit pricey and the sales process to sign up is a bit much, but overall it's definitely worth it! read more

Great facility conveniently located off the 101. They are open 24 hours which is also great. Been going to the facility for over 4 years. They have both an indoor and outdoor pool as well as two racquetball courts. They have child care and several activities and summer clubs for kids. They have awesome locker rooms including one for families. For working out they have a full range of equipment for both cardio and weight lifting. They have several group classes as well. Both my wife and myself have utilized their personal training and they have some great trainers as well. We currently work out with Santana who is awesome. They have a cafe where you can get healthy meals or snacks. Finally they have a spa and saloon as well in case you need a massage or a hair cut. Priced north of a 100 bucks a month but for what you get, I think it is totally fair price especially if you visit the gym more than a few times a month. read more

Love this gym! Instructors are awesome and will push you to your limit. Spinning classes are great! My heart rate is up to the roof with my sweat burning my eyes and running down my chin. I keep telling myself to try other classes but to be honest, I'm kinda intimidated by them. I should really suck it up and just go to them. I mean, there are old ladies joining those classes and are still alive! Pools are big enough for everyone. You'll also find steam rooms and sauna. Nothing to brag about with the cafe food. It tastes really "healthy." Would give it a 5 star if the monthly charges weren't so high. read more

This is an amazing gym. I have a problem getting to most gyms. That is not the case with this gym. You will actually look forward to going and not have to force it in your schedule and you won't want to leave once you are there. It is expensive but it is a great value for what you get. There is no better deal out there. The food is healthy, affordable and amazing too. You can show up hungry get a workout and a meal. I highly recommend this gym. read more

I joined this club recently because I am gearing up for the National Senior Games and need to be able to swim a few times a week and build strength the other days of the week. I was always reluctant to spend this much on a health club but am impressed with all that Lifetime has to offer. I feel that I am definitely getting my money's worth. With an outdoor pool and two indoor pools, there are always lanes available for doing my workout. There are also ample opportunities to do class fitness or group training. The locker rooms are beautiful with hairdryers, shampoo, conditioner, razors, towels and more along with showers, a steam room and sauna. WiFi and a cafe are an added bonus. So far, the one thing I wish they had was a filtered water system on the drinking fountains so that people can refill their water and save plastic. read more

P.S: I am not a member of this gym. We live across the street from Lifetime Athletic and the music is so loud that we cannot have a normal conversation at home. We called them several times and complained about their music being too loud, the lady who picked up the phone said she will talk to the operations ream and reduce it. Even after 2 hours it was still loud. This is the case every Saturday & Sunday. They start their loud music at 8AM and it goes on for about 2-3 hours. After working from Monday-Friday, weekends is what we look forward to sit in the balcony and relax, but thanks to Lifetime Athletic we haven't had that opportunity for the last 3 years. Now we are seriously thinking of relocating only because of the loud noise from Lifetime. This is because now we have a baby who wakes up crying because of the loud music. read more

If you're interested in this company's track record; check the BBB and consumer affairs sites. I contacted member relations regarding the money owed to me and haven't had any luck. I'll prob need to complain at BBB. Here is my experience: 1) They are not upfront about the terms of the PT contract. 2) The gym charges members monthly for more sessions even if they have unused sessions on account. 3) The gym enrolls members in automatic renewal without permission. 4) The gym denies refund of the unused sessions once the member realizes they have too many on account. 5) The gym attempts to retain members thru fulfillment of the prepaid pt sessions. 6) The management defames previous employees. 7) The management, specifically Ryan, uses threatening and aggressive conflict resolution. 8) The location blames corporate, and corporate blames the location. read more

I've been a member of this gym for a few years. It is a beautiful gym. It's very family friendly, which is important to me. I do like that there is a spa there also so I can put my kids in the daycare center before getting my hair done. The pool is great, but usually very crowded with kids. Not somewhere you can just relax by the pool in quiet. The gym classes are okay. They really could have some new classes to get more members. I'm getting bored with the same classes. The staff is always nice and friendly. And the child center is definitely five stars! read more

After cancelling my membership for the 2nd time in May 2016 (and I paid the outstanding balance just to have them leave me alone), their corporate office has started again this month with the harassing e-mails and phone calls saying my membership fees are over due. This is the best lifetime! I have the Onyx membership, so this gym is perfect for me! The first floor has basketball courts, a cafe with healthy meals, locker rooms, 2 indoor pools, and one outdoor pool! The second floor is a full gym. The classes are also amazing! They really give you a workout- I lost 10 pounds just by going to 3 classes! The tuna here is also AMAZING! Best Lifetime I have ever gone to! read more

Obviously there have been some fake reviewers especially with regards to the Covid rules. Everyone who enters, has their temp taken and must have their face covered. There are always people roaming around the floor making sure there people are in compliance. In addition, more than enough wipes and spacing to make sure everything is fine. The people who are complaining are either not members or should be staying home 24/7. read more

I should start out by saying I belong to the LF in Goodyear. It is a great place. 24 hours a day, lots of pools with huge slides. I was a member when it first opened, but had to cancel my membership because it was (and is) too expensive. Over $100 a month for the lowest membership(me, wife, 4 yr old and 6 month old). We have cut spending in other places. It's never overcrowded and there are always bikes or machines open. The outdoor pool is huge. The babysitting is very good also. It would be 5 star except for the price. I have seen 24 hour fitness offering $25 a month. The one on Dysart is just to far away. If you can afford it, it's kinda like a country club. read more

Literally, basketball, squash, racquetball, swimming, any type of gym equipment PLUS Pilates, personal trainers, fitness classes, fabulous pool and swimming lessons. I took the 7 day free trial back in Oct and although I cancelled well within the 7 day window, I have been waiting almost 3 months for the refund of my pro-rata fee for the entire month of Oct. as well as a full months dues that were erroneously charged on 1 Nov. I've contacted the employee who processed my membership multiple times as well as the corporate headquarters w/o any response. Somewhat dumpy and run down. Compared to LifeTime Fitness in Laguna Beach, CA, this place is decrepit, crowded, lacks luster, very crowded and not worth the $150 monthly dues. For N. Love this gym!!!! I have officially become a Gym Rat and mainly do Spin Classes and Barbell weight classes. Yes, it's a big gym - its like a flipping city its so big - but I think that's what I love about it. Its big, it's airy and there's always enough equipment there to get a great workout in even after work. I just started with a Personal Trainer because I really want to get these last 10 lbs off and started training with Jake. He is pure muscle himself so I'm thinking "whoa, this dude definitely should know what he's talking about". And he does. After 3 weeks with Jake, he's changed my eating plan, my exercise habits and monitors everything with Lifetime's very sophisticated systems. I was really impressed. What impressed me even more? My arms and legs are beginning to get some cuts in them and it looks like I'm making progress. Then after a hard spin class or workout, I go over the the Lifetime Cafe and get a Whey of Life protein shake and the world is good again. I even started to go to the Lifetime Spa for my hair - Megan is the best hair dresser there or anywhere - but that's a whole other review. read more

Gym-super nice and they have a ton of different machines for everyone. None of the machines are out of order for weeks and they usually have multiple of 1 machine so you don't have to wait. CON: 5-8pm gets really busy and you may have to wait a few minutes for a certain machine but I usually just do something else until that person leaves. Too many cardio equipment and not enough weigh equipment. I do both and I think this Classes- never gone so I can't vouch Customer service-A+, the people who scan my card are always really welcoming and tony the person who signed me up is awesome. CON: I was told my company would reimburse me some $ when i signed up so I did it right then and there but when I asked my company they said it is not true. BUT this could be because this partnership is new I was told or my company just doesn't know. Idk I had my initiation fee waived and paid month to month so I didn't feel mad about this news Bathroom-always clean and have amenities like free mouthwash, razors, soaps, hair spray, lockers with locks where you don't even need to carry the key around. Lots of showers and great steam room. CON: naked old people all the time cuz this place is so nice to shower at and packed 5-8pm so you have to wiggle in between someone changing sometimes. Very few toilets and urinals for men's. A lot of times people are waiting. Extra (pools, basketball, etc.) - only used the pool area but it's A+ and there are water slides sometimes active Atmosphere- it does get crowded but this place is open 24/7. Everyone here seems fit, a lot of young people and trainers are jacked. I felt high end here. Price- think it's 79/mo for 26 under program with an initiation fee but if your older it's more. It didn't make sense for me to pay this much for what I was using LT for so I canceled (must do it 30 days in advance) because I found out my company doesn't reimburse me anything for it read more

I'm back in the gym. I had a personal trainer here last year who whipped me into shape and, after 6 months of back pain and eating, I'm ready to get back into it.. I've never liked going to the gym but the combination of great equipment and eye candy for miles make Lifetime the place I choose to sweat. They can be a bit sales oriented and there is frequent turnover of the staff however compared to the contractual nonsense a typical gym would make you deal with, I can definitely deal with it. I like the salon and really enjoy a smoothie after working out too..this place certainly has everything! read more

Buyer Beware! If you try to cancel you must give a 30 day notice, so you will be paying for a month if you cancel and can't go. Also, I was shocked that I could not use another club at a different location. I was attending the Goodyear location for $59 a month and tried to get into the Scottsdale location, and my card was no good. The dues there are almost double, so I just decided to cancel. Always read the fine print on a health club contract you sign. This is my last or final experience with a health club. I should of known better! Let me just say, this location does not deserve any hint of a star, but I had to choose at least one. I was less than impressed by the management at this location. My boyfriend had brought me in to use a guest pass of his. A manager that had passed me in (Don Jones) was very insensitive. I believe he was trying to be funny, but was far from it. The conversation started when he was trying to convince me to join the team by getting a membership. I had told him I live in Tucson for school and he had a smart remark about it being the "special needs school." I was honestly startled because I had just started my job today at a camp for special needs children. I then realized he was trying to mock the fact that I attend the University of Arizona. Typically, I brush off the ASU/UofA rivalry jokes because it is meant to be fun and games; however, Don left me appalled. My boyfriend saw the look on my face as I was trying to process the repulsive statement Don had made. After, my boyfriend tried to lighten the mood by saying "Oh, well she is actually studying special education! What a coincidence that you would say that!" Don proceeds to say "well it must be easy for them to teach that at the special needs school." Whether it was meant to be funny, it was highly insensitive. I have been around the specific population of children with different abilities since I was a baby. My older brother, in fact, has a physical need. In addition to the camp, and my major in general, I also have an internship position at the Disability Resource Center (DRC) on UofA's campus. Specifically, I make sure all classrooms, restrooms, and campus events are as inclusive as can be with the resources provided to assist a specific population of people. Lifetime will not be gaining any commission from me due to their insensitive employees. read more

Lifetime is amazing, a little pricey but to get the best service and amenities you have to pay sometimes. It's a lifestyle gym, I love the classes offered, especially yoga, and childcare is clutch for me and my wife, and the kids love it. I love hitting the gym with my wife, Lifetime makes it easy. I've been a member to various lifetime fitness places for well over 10 years now and I have to say that the Scottsdale location is so pretentious and ridiculous sometimes. They can really do better with their trainers because a lot of their trainers look like they need trainers and the etiquette is extremely poor here. I walked into the locker room and right in front of my locker was some woman changing her toddler's diaper right in front of my locker. So I had to sit there and watch this nonsense until I can get into my locker and she was done changing her toddler's dirty diaper. On top of this the attitude of some of these people at this location is just intolerable. They chitchat and take up tons of time on the machines and when they're not doing out there looking at each other in the mirror all day. How about this? Why not try actually working out? But no, this is Scottsdale apparently And these people have better things to do than actually work out when they go to the gym. read more

I love Lifetime Fitness in general. I frequently use all three Lifetime clubs in Arizona (Gilbert, Tempe, and Scottsdale). Tempe is by far the best when it comes to equipment and machines, especially since they upgraded a new training area. Gilbert's day care is great for the kids, and has frequent "date night" events throughout the month. What sets Scottsdale apart are the locker room amenities (Onyx level). Shaving cream, razors, mouthwash, q-tips, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, deodorant, hair spray, and lotion. Although I keep toiletries in my bag for when I go to the other facilities, it is extremely nice to have access to all of them at the Scottsdale location. read more

I really wish this gym was in my area. Went for the day with friends. A manager stepped in to help us as we checked in and was very helpful. All of us were from out of town. We went to THE BEST cardio dance class I've ever been to. Seriously the lady doing the class was fabulous. The gym had amply space, equipment, and assistance. Everything in the gym was clean. The locker rooms were mostly clean but the showers weren't always picked up but there was plenty of stalls to choose from. We sat by the outdoor pool at the end of our visit. The pool was great but the lounge chairs weren't so comfortable. Maybe they have to use these kinds because of the heat? Overall I would recommend Life Time Athletic. read more

This was my favorite gym until today, some male manager gave me a warning to never wear a t-shirt ever again (not the first time I wore it). Yes, it did have a curse word but it's not noticable unless you sit down and read the shirt. He obviously had time to read it while I was urinating or at least I hope that's what he was looking at. There are no rules and regulations posted for proper attire, just normal gym etiquette rules. If a manager wants to enforce rules that are not posted; he should start enforcing or telling kids to not run in the hallways, especially from the men's locker room to the stairway. I really doubt my t-shirt is more inappropriate or distracting then some women here with their extra short shorts and cleavage hanging out. The second floor is perfectly laid out with great equipment. It is Snottsdale, so you may get the stink eye and attitude once in awhile especially if you're tattoo'd and a minority. The night crew is amazing and very friendly, wish I could say the same for the day crew. If you're a night owl this gym is empty at night great time to work out and use any machine. I will miss the BBQ brisket flat bread from the cafe but at least Mountainside, EOS, and LA Fitness don't tell you how to dress. read more

This gym is insane! It has every possible thing you could want, would want, or would fantasize about. The layout is great considering the high volume the gym can tend to have during peak times. Absolutely beautiful facility. My first visit and did a strength class. Very clean and large. My friend gave me a tour. Had to sign in of course but no high pressure sales the day I came as a guest. Have gotten a few phone calls and emails. They offered a free day to try facility again. A little pricey for a gym membership, I believe it's about $100 a month which is more than twice what I pay at Mountainside. I am not sure I would use all of the amenities to justify the price. But I would be willing to go one more time and think about it. read more

I was harrassed by an intimidating male member at this location while picking up my children from summer camp. They have summer camp being held in the basketball courts and are allowing the members in there to play basketball. This is unsafe and caused a nasty altercation and the club managers were unable to calm the situation and I was forced to cancel membership and remove my children from camp for our safety. DO NOT GO TO THIS LOCATION !!! read more
