Then, Club Pilates canceled my reservation only about an hour before class. I didn't see the email because I was already getting ready and on my way to the studio, so I arrived expecting to take the class. When I got there, I was told I wasn't on the roster by who I believe was the instructor, Kelly Moore, who was also working the front desk. What made the experience even worse was her attitude. Instead of trying to understand what happened or help find a solution, she repeatedly asked whether I was at the correct location in a condescending tone, even after I showed her my ClassPass confirmation multiple times clearly displaying the correct studio, date, and time. Rather than acknowledging that Club Pilates had canceled my reservation, she made me feel as though I had somehow made the mistake. It truly seemed like she canceled my reservation on purpose to make space for others. Not once did anyone apologize for the inconvenience or take responsibility for the last-minute cancellation. I wasted my time driving to the studio only to be turned away because of an issue that was completely outside of my control. If you partner with ClassPass (which is a choice btw), you need a reliable reservation system and staff who know how to handle these situations professionally. Canceling a reservation only an hour before class with virtually no notice, then making the customer feel like they're at fault, is unacceptable.

There is a lot of natural light, especially in the turf area on the 3rd floor near the spin studio because it is so private. There is a pilates studio on the same level, but the classes are extra charge/seperate. I pay $65 a month, and I honestly think it is such a great deal. The jacuzzi does tend to be crowded before 4 though. I love the machine that dries my swimsuit, that is so helpful, and they give you a bag with it like what. Also at this location they have a keypad for the lockers that actually work, even though the facility is a little outdated. There is parking..no it is not free.

But I was reluctant. That being said, they do offer a FREE WEEK OF UNLIMITED CLASSES, and I just can't help myself when FREE is involved. So, naturally, I signed up. What can I say, I'm hooked. I am. I feel better about myself when I'm dripping in sweat, I suppose. Try this, folks. Trust me. You just need to experience the first week and you'll be sold. So reviews you can use: Location: It's located on the back outer edge of Old Orchard Shopping Center, so parking is VERY convenient. INTERIOR: Seems small when you walk in, but this place has full-service locker rooms for men and women. The women's locker room has all you need. Lockers (must bring own lock), showers, bathrooms (duh), and...hair dryers, brushes, mousse, gel, hairspray, hair ties, bobby pins and cotton swabs. If you go before work or another engagement, you can ready yourself right there and then. Sweet. STUDIO: The studio is dedicated ONLY to hot yoga practice, so the rooms are set up with built in humidifiers. This is a plus, I've gone to other hot yoga classes when mini portable steam machines are used and its just not the same. INSTRUCTORS: Super nice. Emphasis on the nice. They are informative during class and assist you with positions when needed. They walk around the room during classes to check that everyone is in correct alignment and are extremely accommodating to those who need to regress to easier positions. Honest, I've been one of those people, so I know firsthand. I have to give a special shout out to the location manager J.S. (you know who you are). You're sweet, pleasant, understanding and an excellent instructor. Thank you. OTHER COMMENTS: THE LEMON/LAVENDER TOWELS!! Good Lawd. This, I recently learned, is unique to suburban locations only. At the end of each class, when you're not really sure you'll ever be able to walk again (or dry off the sweat for that matter) the instructor walks around a places an ice cold lemon/lavender towel on your forehead. After my first ever class, I teared up. No joke. It's orgasmic. I say that with all seriousness. Unlike smaller "non-corporate" studios, here you have to pay for towels and mats if you forget yours. So, if you're trying it for the free week, either borrow a mat from a friend and remember to bring a towel (and a bottle of water) or the FREE will be null and void. There's also apparel, mats, towels and lotions available for purchase. The prices are just as high as one would expect, so bring your money if you a ready to invest.

For first timers, the first week is completely free. If you want to come back after that: -Usually you can find a Groupon deal or -The first month of membership is $99 or (After that I believe it jumps up to about $140) -Drop ins are $20 each or You can get a student/teacher discount with a valid ID. There are freshly laundered towels and a basic locker room with showers. The water fountains are cold and there are hanging TVs that are tuned to radio frequencies so you can watch and listen to a variety of TV shows. The price is $75/month, or something like $60/month if you pay the annual fee. All in all, pretty good value for access to all that equipment. There is also childcare available for $6 up to an hour and a half, which seems pretty cheap to me, especially given that so many people rave about its quality. They have started offering a few group fitness classes, but I can't speak to those other than by saying that all the classes are early morning, and there isn't much variety. I am not giving it five stars because I think its day pass rate is expensive ($15) and wish it provided a punch card option for people who can't work out regularly, but would nevertheless like occasional access to the gym. I would also like more variety of fitness classes (spinning?). Nevertheless, I recommend this to anyone looking for a low-key, no-fuss gym.
