It really is the best reasonable rate gym / resort. If I had kids. This would be where I'd spend my time. Kids club gives you two hours. My friends kids love it here. They forget they have parents lol. I can agree to the 3 stars for i think though they do keep it clean usually. There has been many times I wanted to take a pic of how gross the bathroom was and the many times you could tell it has been neglected for such a busy club. But I'm giving 4 stars because it's open 24/7. And their kids club hours are reasonable. It's free baby sitting every day for two hours. Then you can family swim. I'd love some day to give a gym like this 5 stars. I really don't think it's that hard to capitalize on the population that they could serve. I think 3 stars is too picky but 4 is almost too generous. I don't buy supplements here. They really should compete on their supplements and food. It's a better deal for a shake across the street. read more

Life Time - Entrance - Gyms Near Me - Gilbert, Arizona

I never knew I missed this place until I walked back into it. I was a member about 8 years ago and quit once I got into the shape I wanted. Now as I rotate my gyms and fitness places, looks like Im back to the top of the list. I guess the $60 per month pretty much kept me away for a while, after all you can pay only $10 a month for a gym membership nowadays right? After my last fitness journey at a crossfit place I was paying $90 a month, I figured to give Life Time a shot again. Really I mean, how can you go wrong here? I can work out, swim, eat lunch, sit in the steam room or hot tub, bring my kids, play basketball, rock climb and so on. Perfect for summertime when Im looking for something to do for my 11 year old that doesn't involve a computer of PS4. The only negative thing I'll say is they made me sit down with a personal trainer and have an "evaluation" done. I knew what was coming........ $900 blood test $250 workout that involved a mask and a treadmill. $90 an hour personal training and of course the massive amount of nutrients my body is missing that ONLY Lifetime fitness sells. Then he proceeded to tell me I have 40lbs of fat I need to lose, I don't work out correctly, I don't eat correctly, overall I don't live my life correctly and Im just completely wasting my time working out unless I follow his plan. I get it, your a 50% trainer 50% salesman, just a squirrel trying to get his monthly commission nut. Avoid this if you can. There needs to be a little more tweaking in the salesmen department if you ask me. After an hour with this guy, all I got out of it was I was fat and I needed him and his multi-thousand dollar fitness program. I would of given 5 stars if I didn't have to sit through this time share presentation first. Lame. read more

I am a current member of lifetime and this gym has gone to complete GARBAGE. Please don't waste your money, you can go to a cheaper athletic club that is actually 24hours and pay significantly less! read more

The only reason I'm giving two stars and not one is because it is a really NICE gym. Lots of amenities IE cafe, salon, classes. But here are the problems: 1) They charge WAY too much! I pay $55 a month whereas any other gym I've been a part of is$30 or less 2) The staff SUCKS! Personal trainers are super FAKE and stuck up. The coordinators or whatever you call them are also very fake and pushy salespeople. I tried to cancel my membership and they incented me by saying they would give me $150 LT bucks to use but then I never actually received them! 3) This place is always crowded. And most of the members are not friendly or polite and will run you down in the hall like you don't even exist! 4) You know those commercials for planet fitness where the guy is shoving his abs in everyone's face? Yeah, a lot of THOSE types of people come here too If you are looking for a super expensive, fancy gym and you have a tight tone body and like to stick your nose in the air, this place is for you! If you are like me and trying to get in shape or maintain your workout regimen and want an easy going no pressure atmosphere, steer clear of Lifetime read more

Awesome gym, family and I love it. ..the only issue I have is that trainers should not be setting up training or appointments with minors..my 16 year old was approached and numbers were exchanged without my knowledge.. if a member is not allowed as a minor to attend the gym or sign up for a membership they should not be consulted for anything without the parents permission. read more

The Good Its a beautiful gym, has plenty of space with everything you could possibly want. The locker rooms are fantastic and the pool is a blast for kids. The Bad Working with their sales team feels like a used car experience. Ongoing service is sketchy at best. When you have any concerns or problems they have no real interest in helping, only in moving you along like a cog in a factory. The environment feels more like a social gathering than a work-out facility. The price is ridiculous. read more

I love this gym for how big and clean it is, for being open 24/7, and all the programs it has. The daycare center is huge and is a ton of fun for kids. They have huge indoor and outdoor slides for the kids to play in. They have the swim classes that are very affordable. I don't know how to use 90% of the equipment but I didn't do much outside of the basics. I did pay for a boot camp and never got refunded but that was my own fault and years ago. If only this gym were closer to me, I'd go back in a heartbeat. read more

Queue the movie Dodgeball, and Ben Stiller at Globo Gym. "Turn up the heat Micheeeellllleeee - I want to feel the burn!" Yah, that's it! You now know what Lifetime is like. This is now my 3rd LTF membership... Which means that I've left 2 times because I took issue with $50+/month gym membership and went off the grid, simply running and cycling outside. Inevitably, my triathlon love forced me to have access to a pool. Alas, I am again a member. With my latest sign up I got tossed some "LTF Bucks" which were nice, and I used them for some much needed swimming lessons. Every time I've returned I've wondered how I could stray. I enjoy the spin classes - but as with all lessons they're only as good as the instructor and how much sweat you're willing to pour into it. It's no Equinox, but for us AZ peeps - it's as good as it gets. Bonus: When I have kids, LTF be even more valuable to me with their complementary child care while you workout. read more

The best gym. They have everything you could need in a gym and so much more. Everyone is friendly and it's so well maintained and clean all the time. I've never not seen someone cleaning or swapping out towels or folding towels. The membership fees are worth every penny. read more

This gym is one of the best aspects of living in this valley! It is a great place to be, especially during the loooong summer.

Been a long time since I updated my review for LT. I had a fairly bad experience when I first signed up and got personal training, but I kept going after I received a refund. Then I took about 8 months off to road bike and be outside more. Recently I decided to join back up and the facilities are still pretty great and seems much better than the other options in the area. When I left for a few months there was no big deal since there are no contracts and they were running a special for New Years so signing back up was free. All of the equipment is in good shape and runs well. The restaurant is pretty good to grab something healthy on your way in or out of the gym. It's nice to be able to hit the gym and grab lunch or a smoothie all in the same place. There are plenty of lockers and they offer pretty much anything you can think of all included in your membership. I'm deducting one star for the previous bad PT, but other than that it's a great place to work out. read more

Great gym, but if you ever try to cancel your agreement count on paying 2-3 months longer than expected. I've been trying to cancel my account because I moved across The country. They won't cancel it unless I send in a certified letter. I've done that and am still getting charged months later. read more

I came to cancel my membership in October and soon after I received a call about having my account on hold at no charge. Turn out after 6 months the hold is released and your charged again at full rate. The staff here is telling me it's corporate and they can't reverse it but I don't believe it. I asked to be refunded the $54.73. They blamed corporate. Be carful , They will trick you and charge you. If you cancel check your account and confirm your not being charged. read more

Before I start: Overweight/normal/small/etc folks don't let some other reviewers steer you wrong. You will not feel intimidated or judged because there are a lot of in shape people here. Frankly, except for the very rare jerk we either do not even notice or care at all what you look like. We all started somewhere, and NO ONE looks down on the 300lb person trying to lose weight, or the skinny kid trying to grow. If you feel judged, it's that you are projecting your own insecurities. On to the review! I must be getting softer in my old age, as I used to detest this sort of gym. I avoided these nice, shiny, clean, fitness clubs and instead went to divey prison yard type gyms where the "hardcore lifters" went. Well that preference has changed since switching to Lifetime. After being sick of the lack of maintenance, grimy gym and grimier clientele at Gold's I signed up here and have never looked back. I'll try to be brief since there's many aspects to cover. Staff: Extremely helpful and pleasant. From the sales staff to the dietician to the cafe people to the janitors every person has greeted me me with a smile and been excellent to deal with. Specifically Travis in sales, and Theresa the dietician have been wonderful. Facilty/Equipment: Top notch. Well maintained. Clean. A little lacking in free weights compared to the sheer number of machines. Even at peak hours there's enough to go around. Cardio equipment area is the size of most entire gyms. Clientele: People are friendly and for the most part considerate. I hate to sound elitist, but the fact that this gym is 3 to 5X the cost of Gold's or 24 Hr it serves to weed out the undesirables. There is no women's section because the men aren't creepy and leering so they don't need to hide. Locker room: CLEAN. Think nice Vegas casino bathroom. No creepy nude men meatgazing all day. Toilets are in their own room, so no foul odors. Separate shower stalls as well. Towels and shampoo/body wash supplied. Classes: I have not taken any, but my wife loves them. Great instructors, and the classes are on time and not always being switched or cancelled with no notice like at some other gyms. Yoga is included as well, which I intend to try soon. Other: Cafe food is excellent. Spa is excellent. One of the best massages I've ever had. read more

I wish I had done a better job of reading the reviews. After going 5 days a week for over a year I had enough. The place is very packed, parking sucks and other than the "have a good day" on exit you get zero vibe that anyone cares you are spending money there...complacent would be a good description of lifetime. Don't forget your parting gift if you happen to not cancel before the 1st of the month...they charge you for the next month too, policy like that is a shady $$$$ maker. Check ripoffs.com and complaintsboard before you pull the trigger. read more

This gym clearly only cares about numbers and doesn't care about the loyalty of a 15yr customer. 6months suspension because I took my mask off in the sauna to wipe my face briefly. As I Idid this, a team member happened to be off duty in the sauna and decided to yell at me. It got under my skin because I understand the importance of a mask. He said " you keep talking s#!+ and we can just go to the GM and get you kicked out, " as he was the one pursuing a confrontation. I have NEVER had a problem here until now. Kerry had no intentions of hearing me nor making me feel valued. Mountainside Fitness, you have gained a customer. There are many positives about Lifetime: the people in daycare are great with my baby; there's plenty of cardio equipment; and of course the nice pools and amenities like the salon and cafe. Unfortunately, there are a lot of drawbacks that cancel out the positives. First, and most glaring, the price is obnoxious: over $100/mo for a couple with 1 child in daycare!! At that price, I would like the towels to not feel like sandpaper. Also, I would expect them to provide more than the terrible all purpose soap/shampoo. At that price, most gyms provide shampoo, conditioner, lotion and mouth wash. In addition, the water at the Gilbert location tastes like a$$. You would think they could filter the water. Lastly, do NOT deal with Aaron Wood. He's a schmarmy, aggressive salesperson who's careless and will tell you whatever you want to hear to close a deal. Then, he won't stand behind any of the promises or terms he told you and will talk to you in a rude and patronizing way when you try to hold him to anything he said. In summary, save your money. You can find comparable quality and probably better service at another gym for far less money! read more

They said we would love it. They said it would change the way we work out. We endured weeks of inhaling dust and crawling over each other to use equipment. They unveiled...MONKEY BARS!! And we're still crawling over each other to use equipment. Well, the equipment that was not removed to make room for the monkey bars.  Demographics of individual clubs were clearly ignored when making the decision to add a Cross Fit apparatus to every single gym. The only people using the bars at the Gilbert Life Time Fitness are clients working with trainers. Said clients do not use the monkey bars when not working with trainers.  The weight lifting floor is the most popular area in the gym, and the area where the improvements should have been focused. While the addition of more squat racks was a plus, it doesn't make up for removal of equipment and reduction of weight lifting space. So yes, the monkey bars changed the way we work out. But not in a good way. After 5 years, I'm out. The perks are no longer worth it. read more

80% of the group classes that I have attended at Lifetime south Austin, the studio rooms have been 85 degrees or higher in temperature. I have complained to manager and I always get the same response...... the instructors have control of the thermostat. Well I have talked to the instructors and they always end up turing the air on 5 mins before class and apologizing about the room being too hot and announce that it is going to be a steaming workout. When you put 70 people in a room to do cardio and the room starts out at 85 degrees, it doesn't cool off. How hard is it to keep the air on at a decent temperature??? This is ridiculous and I am in the process of looking at other gyms and group classes. way too much money to put up with this constantly. Very disappointed! read more

This gym is decent at best. I joined a brand new lifetime in another state for 70 a month. Then I moved to Gilbert and they lowered my payments to 65 a month. The gym is pretty old and crowded. Locker rooms smell like piss. Overall it's decent but I'm a single guy just looking to workout and I can find plenty of great places less than 65 a month! I do not use classes or kids zone. On top of everything if your looking for a family or spouse member getting added on THEY DO NOT HAVE FAMILY PLANS. So 1 person was 65 bucks a month. 2 people a month they will do 120 bucks a month. 3 people is a little over 150. Save your money and look elsewhere. read more

I've been a member here for 14 years and could not say enough good things about it. With one so-called "upgrade" Lifetime managed to destroy what used to be a really fantastic establishment. They installed a jungle gym that consumes about half the weights section of the gym. The jungle gym is completely empty while the rest of the work out space is so crowded that it's downright dangerous. Everyone I've spoken with HATES the recent "upgrade" and many have already left for other gyms. I'm holding out hope that management will realize that they made a tremendous mistake and will rectify this disaster. If you are looking for a new gym, and you want to use free weights or weight machines, stay far away from this one. However, if you are an adult who wants to be able to publicly play on monkey bars and ride swings while pretending to exercise, this is definitely your spot. Note to Lifetime: Instead of posting a template response to this review, why don't you try meeting with your loyal customers and act upon their feedback. If you contact me I will gladly (and very politely) discuss my concerns with you. I've loved this gym for years and am frankly angry that you have managed to destroy it for me and so many others. Don't get upset by my passion, I'm the kind of client that a successful company is built upon. read more

Karen up at front is extremely rude. Don't waste your time coming to this location, the staff at the Tempe location are amazing and go above and beyond to ensure you're taken care of. I was highly disappointed in Karen and the way she treated my first time guest. I pay way too much to be a Lifetime member to be treated as an inconvenience. read more

When you're ready for a real gym, step up to Life Time. They always have plenty of spare Aerobic Equipment - even at peak times. They also have a great variety of weight machines and free weights - the best feature though - no muscle heads hogging the equipment. In addition, the place has two lap pools (inside and outside), two full basketball courts, racket ball and a rock climbing wall. They also have plenty of classes from yoga to spinning and back. The locker rooms are always clean and odor free. Plus, LTF provides work out towels and shower towels - no need to tout a stinky towel in and out. A first rate club. read more

Everything about this club is a 5 except I am disappointed in the drinking water fountains on site. So many people, the water is most of the time warm. They really need to up to the newer water filtration systems (common in AZ) for me to be completely satisfied with paying 66.00 a month for gym membership. I love the group classes and I really wish someone would write a post on group class etiquette. Spacial recognition is so important. If you come to class late, grab a spot up front. This is a great gym. I find value in paying the dues for what I get in return. read more

We have been coming here for a year now and will sadly be looking for a new gym as they seriously crapped the bed with the remodel upstairs. If I wanted to go to a CrossFit gym I'd pay 10 bucks a month to go do CrossFit. Bad choices and wasted space. The once very small weight area is now overcrowded and even more ridiculous. read more

This is a five star facility without question, except for one thing. The showers in the locker room are almost infuriating. The showers put out so little water pressure that it takes forever. I love Kayla!! Smartest trainer I've ever had the luck to know. There's a reason she is a regional manager, she is dynamic with her approach to nutrition, lifestyle and training. Few doctors associate sub clinical tachycardia with poor sleep, much less trainers. Kayla throws it down. She doesn't meathead load her clients on hyper protein diets and unsupported carb loading. She also doesn't abuse ketosis. She uses lab work and feedback to set her protocols. If you have the opportunity, train with her or study under her. She is a rare, brilliant gem. read more

Noah's literally the sweetest most attentive sales rep/employee.. He makes my daughter feel so special with the daily hellos and fist bumps.. The staff is always extra nice from home front desk girls to the cafe employees and daycare staff... Always smiling and giving good vibes! I wanted to put my account on hold and check out other gyms and when I told Cam why and a few complaints I had he was so cool about it.. Didn't try to talk to me out of it... While the trainers are awesome and always there to help and most of the equipment is in great shape. However, the mangers of the facility seem to be unable to run an organized operation. For example the open volleyball court in gym 2 tonight was taken over by a basketball tournament without any notification. This left 25+ members very upset, and the assistant managers were unaware of what had happen and were powerless to do anything about it.......... They just pass the buck. This was one of the reason I quit lifetime 10 yrs ago, and I am starting to regret that I rejoined Lifetime again. It would be nice if they actually would spend some money on replacing the volleyball poles that have been broken for years, and maybe replace the torn net too. read more

Would like to report I'm extremely happy with my Crunch membership after leaving Lifetime. I wouldn't go back to Lifetime if it was free.

If you need membership help, DO NOT EXPECT IT from Asst. Membership Services Manager SHANE YEO. I understand there are protocols within the company, but when I kindly ask to speak with a supervisor and you ignore me for a week, you clearly are taking my request personally rather than simply passing the torch. Unbelievable that I cant simply cancel my membership despite pouring out $400+ for a membership I've used less than once per month since signing up. I have an extreme schedule with work and grad school and apparently Shane Yeo has a stick somewhere it shouldn't need to be which is impeding him from simply helping me out. Thanks Life Time! Love this place! The staff there is so Family friendly and welcoming. The classes are stress relieving and really fun!

I went in to cancel my membership as I've had it on hold for quite awhile now. It's just too far to go for my short workouts which I do religiously at home. I was a little perturbed to have to wait to cancel my membership and that i could not do it over the phone, however, this is my 2nd time in person trying to cancel. The first time which was more than a year ago, the wait was too long for a Membership Adviser that I just left. Today I got Ashley and she said they have upgraded the memberships on Hold so that they get more than the Experience Life magazine. You get access online to their classes, and they are giving Lifetime bucks, so for every dollar you pay, you get that back in Lifetime bucks to use at their spas, food court, or other services they offer. I like the spa thing because I badly need a massage, or you can get discounts on other services. And, they will do free assessments to do some blood work and other internal stuff to gauge where your health is. Okay, with these things now added to those memberships on hold, it now makes it worth it. So, I'm keeping the hold. I didn't want to give up my membership because I was grandfathered in at the rates they had way back when, which I started my membership before they even opened the first Lifetime in AZ, which was Tempe and back in early 2003. So, I'm still a member. read more
