I was able to find an online code for a free month and no join or annual membership fee at signup. Before joining I worked out at OneLife and Lifetime in Gainesville and found this to be a superior place for the money. They have a ton of machines that are new and in good shape. The vibe is upbeat, and the staff, while not the most outgoing, was helpful. I went in the late afternoon and while there were a lot of people there it never felt crowded and I was able to get my workout in without any issues. Free lockers on the gym floor for personal gear were a nice touch. My only complaint was having to pay for the day pass. This location does not allow one to try the gym for free, unlike a lot of other PF locations in the region. Still, that wasn't a show stopper and I'm looking forward to using the facilities and checking out some of the amenities.

They allowed us to use their space, which is great. Kenny at the front desk was very helpful in pointing me to where I needed to be. The trainer was also very helpful in assisting us with dedicating one lane of the track to the applicants. I would love to work out here. I didn't do a full tour, but I never met a gym I didn't like! There was plenty of equipment and again, the indoor track is a plus. I saw women in what appeared to be an aerobics class and I must say, that room is huge! There's plenty of space for anybody who wants to join a class. It's also very bright and airy. I see that they also have childcare which is huge! I saw them playing outside. It appears to be a pretty spacious area. Some kids were down on the basketball court going through a workout. Too cute. But yeah, I'm a fan of the Y and this one looks pretty inviting.

Not sure about non walkers but I've seen other people bring babies in and it seems fine. They don't do diaper changes so they'll either call or physically find you if there's a bowel movement so I wasn't comfortable swimming but weights, walking or group classes seem fine. You can bring a snack (without peanuts) and drinks to make the transition easier. I guess I've seen some parents bring a meal like pizza. As others have said it's not as premium of an experience as Lifetime or Worldgate but it has a pleasant neighborly feel. Really wish the pool had a bigger leisure area for kids. It's mostly overrun by lap swimmers whenever I've visited.

Onelife gyms expanded to purchase a lot of locations of other region gyms and in doing so their styles differ a bit between gym - which may be jarring for some. But you don't have to notice if you get the cheaper membership with fewer gym choices. Classes are good and offer varied options, but you may have to hunt for which gym works for your time schedule as getting to one on time is a chore with our traffic. Including all the basics you may need and more, like child care optional extras for the families that need it. At this pace this is set to be a good gym for you for the next ten years easily.
