I will start by saying, this only applies to the customer service department and none of the other staff. I have a close personal relationship with a staff member who is not in the customer service department, so this only extends to that area. I went in to put my membership on hold and the lady I was working with asked how long do you want to put it on hold for. I told her I wasn't sure and asked if she could just keep it on hold until I felt like coming back- she said no so I told her to just cancel it. Honestly, I don't really want to go back to Lifetime, I was just keeping the option open. She had the most disgusted look on her face and says to me, "wait. so you're telling me you want to cancel your membership just because you have to pick an end date for the hold?" I replied yes. She continually gave me dirty looks and the way she was speaking to me she was talking to me like I was a moron. At one point she asked me if she offended me and I said, "yes, you're treating me like i'm an idiot. I don't know that I want to come back so rather continue paying, I want to cancel my membership." She finally said fine, cancelled my membership, told me to have a good day. I walked out and said you too, hopefully you don't make anyone else feel like an idiot today. Later I found out from my friend who is a Lifetime employee you don't need to choose an end date when you put your membership on hold. Highly displeased with the customer service, especially since the membership rates aren't cheap. read more

I have been a lifetime member since 2009. I go to this club regularly. Water temperature in the main and only lap pool is too hot for swimming. The salesmen in suits at the front just don't seem to care no matter how hard GROUPS of us complain about the high pool temp. It would decrease their energy costs and save money all while making longtime paying members happy. They recently converted all of the racquetball courts into paid studio and cycling classes. They couldn't leave just a one or two for those that play? No regard for members disapproval of this. We have been completely stonewalled by the team of salesmen in "offices" lining the entry way wearing suits. Their offices and jobs would could be much better served by trimming the sales heavy staff and repurposing them as racquetball courts. read more

Super old machines, no hygiene supplies in the bathrooms, and a little run down. It's cleaner than most other lifetime locations, though.

This gym is a scam! You pay big buck to come here and all the machines are taken up by "classes" from 5-8pm PRIME TIME. So if you actually want to use the equipment you have to join a class. Why bother, save your money and go somewhere​ else. read more

Lifetime SUCKs this time of year. I already pay over $100/month, and TONS of the cardio equipment is reserved for their TEAM fit... So you can pretty much only get cardio equipment during peak times of you pay another $100/month. Save money each month and go somewhere else. read more

Yesterday Friday aug 2,2019 I was thrilled to receive a 7 day free guest pass to this wonderful platinum club in Eagan, mn. I researched on line the various 24 hour gym clubs in mn and settled on this one being close to my hotel. I almost paid on line but didn't get a chance and was going to pay at the club but the nice front desk lady had me register with Karl the asst. mgr for sales who comped the pass. I am traveling from out of the country to visit briefly my two sons living in mn and absolutely love to lift weights, when I am not spending time with the boys. I compete in bodybuilding as a hobby and did a few ifbb shows and as a 51 year old, I have a show I might do this November, so I usually pose for 1/2 an hour post workout. I got permission to pose shirt off and and in the gym area front of the water fountain mirror and if anyone said anything, a downstairs studio might be available. A courteous employee advised me of the shirt on policy and I readily complied, whereas a patron informed me I was in the way and many patrons were being weirded out by my posing , so I apologized and completed my posing downstairs. There is plenty of parking and I found a spot with some tree shade covering. There is nice music piping through overhead and about half of the patrons are nice and helpful while the other half seem with their body language that they can't be bothered. Since I lift real heavy for gains, a nice man named jack chatted and we had a fun convo as I lifted the maximum plates on a back machine as he was impressed. He was working on his abs and we both concurred that diet was key, lol. Minnesota nice still prevails. :) The locker rooms are nice with keyless ones, and I used a lower box to store my valuable/ backpack rather than in my locked hot car. It was a nice touch to have towel service and their are even nice extras such as qtips and a restroom on the upper gym level. I liked how I was able to purchase a banana off menu at the concessions area and the servers were real nice. There are plenty of water fountains and mirrors as well as Attachments that complement the lifting apparatuses. The gym is very clean, bright, modern and airy. The vibe is eclectic and the patrons all appear gung ho about staying fit and healthy. There's a lot to do at this club, basketball, yoga, swimming, whirlpool, massage, free weights, group studio, and the list goes on. While my sons don't attend this gym because it is not in their city and out of their price range, I would highly recommend this club if you would like to give it a try. Karl and the front desk lady are real nice and this club is located in a affluent area. I stopped at sarbinos for a new Italian food experience in the center near this club and the servers were nice as I ate a delicious chicken sandwich before the gym. Terrible value, overpriced. They removed their racquetball courts in place of pilates studios. They could have kept some racquetball courts and still added a smaller pilates studio. Hard to justify paying a premium fee while they are removing amenities. read more

It's a clean club. Some swimmers forget that the lanes need to be shared with those of us who walk in the water or are there for a regularly scheduled class. Massage rooms are too close to main hall way and you can't relax with all of the noise. If you want a massage, see Pete at the Savage club. He's awesome and the space is quiet! read more

Facilities are nice but I had a very bad interaction with guest services. I'm looking for a new gym and like to try it out before committing to anything. Well, I get paired up with this guy Max who immediately gives me the hard sell to join for a month. I tell him that I just want to give it a try to which he tells me a guest pass is $25 for a day. I'm fine paying to try out a facility, but seriously, $25 for a day? Not helpful when you are trying to figure out a gym. read more

My whole family has been a member of Lifetime fitness and we love the facilities and staff at all of the clubs we use except the Eagan, MN club. The workout facilities there are up to expectation, but the child area is horrible. My 8 year old has complained after leaving that they had him taking care of my 1 year old. This disappointed me, but I felt it was an isolated incident and maybe my 8 year old exaggerated his claim a little bit. Unfortunately after another visit when I picked up my kids one of the staff members told me that they had my 8 year old taking care of my 1 year old and what a great job he did. I confronted my sales rep at the club who was disappointed and confronted the kids care staff, but nothing seems to change. While I would hope I was the only person dissatisfied in the kids care, I have heard numerous other parents complain to me. Due to where we live and other activities we are involved with we also fairly regularly use the Woodbury, Savage, and Bloomington clubs. I have been pleased with there facilities and the kids care at these clubs. In conclusion if you are an adult without kids or can primarily use another club I would suggest Lifetime, but if you do have kids and Eagan is your primary facility I would recommend either not joining a gym or joining another gym read more
