Suuuuper refreshing…read more Service: There's one kiosk in store but because the family using it was taking so long, the cashier ended up taking our order. She was really friendly and welcoming. The space itself is really big with plenty of tables. They cater too if you're interested. Nutty bowl- I added chocolate chips to it but I guess it wasn't counted as a customized bowl? There were more toppings to it than açaí. Otherwise, everything paired really well together and was refreshing. Vitality bowl- This came in a larger cup than nutty even though it was a size small for a customized one. So I guess it's more worth it to get it customized? Fruit in this was really refresh but then again, there were more toppings than açaí.

I typically get the nutty bowl already predesigned but this time I tried a create your own bowl with double the nutty bowl blend and chia pudding. I definitely liked having the two different texture blend bases. It added good flavor and texture to the bowl and I will continue to get it now. I also don't know why I never compared getting a build your own vs the predesigned options because I feel like the build your own is a better value for me vs the nutty bowl because I was able to add an additional item for the same price. I skipped out on the honey and added kiwi and strawberries. I like that every time we get our bowls they are consistent and keeps us coming back.

I've only been to this coffee shop twice, and unfortunately both visits left me with a…read moredisappointing impression. The first time, I was deciding between two drinks and asked the cashier which one she recommended. I went with her suggestion, but after trying it, I realized I really didn't like the taste. I politely asked if I could switch to a different drink, but was told no because of the store's policy. While I understand that policies exist, I later called the customer service number listed on their social media to confirm that this was indeed their policy. Instead of addressing my question, the person I spoke with seemed more concerned about asking, "How did you get this phone number?" That interaction felt unprofessional and dismissive. My second visit wasn't much better. My friend and I walked in, and the cashier didn't greet us or acknowledge that she'd be with us shortly. She was making another drink, looked over at us, then looked away, and we waited about five minutes without any acknowledgment. When the customer she was helping came up to pick up their drink, she took the time to have a brief conversation with them while we continued waiting to order. When she finally came over, there was no apology for the wait or even a simple "Hi, how are you?"--just, "What can I get you?" The coffee may be good, but customer service plays a big role in the overall experience. Based on my two visits, I think there's a lot of room for improvement in how customers are welcomed and treated. Unfortunately, these interactions have made me hesitant to return.

Absolutely stupid experience with the Pleasant Hill Vitality Bowls location and corporate customer…read moreservice. We placed a Mother's Day order for pickup Sunday morning. My husband arrived around 8:10 AM, after the store's posted opening time of 8:00 AM, only to find the business completely closed with no communication whatsoever. No call. No email. No cancellation notice. Nothing. What followed was somehow worse. I called the store multiple times throughout the day and left several voicemails that were never returned. I also emailed both the location and corporate customer service and received no response. Corporate didn't answer their phones either. All of this over a $35 order that the business happily charged for but never fulfilled. Today, I went into the store in person to ask for a refund and was met with attitude and defensiveness from the manager instead of accountability or even a simple apology. I was told they "do answer their phones" despite my multiple unanswered calls and voicemails. I was then told they could not issue a refund because it had been "more than two days," even though the delay was entirely caused by their complete lack of response and failure to handle the issue. The store being unexpectedly closed is frustrating enough. Ignoring customers afterward and then treating them poorly when they ask for their money back is unacceptable. I'm still waiting to hear from the "other manager" or "boss" who is supposedly able to process my refund. Who apparently already had my information but was "too busy" to respond to me sooner. Give me a break. At this point, it's not even about the $35. It's about the complete lack of professionalism, communication, and basic customer service.
