Pleasant staff initially. Well decorated office. I had 2 visits with Dr. Alex in 2022 for a second…read moreopinion. Everything seemed fine, until they told me they wanted to replace every tooth in my mouth. Surprised because I had been going to more than 1 dentist every 6 months, for years. At almost 70 years old, I wasn't looking for a Hollywood smile nor could I afford it. I continued to see a soon to be retired dentist that had been practicing in Athens for 40 years. I found out a couple months ago; my dentist sold his practice. Anxious to get a crown placed on my now year-old dental implant, I called Dr. Alex's office on 06/10/2026 and was told the doctor would look at it in the morning, and they would call me back. No return call. I just called back today, 06/15/26, and spoke to Dr. Alex's wife. She explained he was either out of the office last Thursday or didn't have time, and he doesn't work on Friday. She stated he wasn't comfortable with placing my crown on my now signed off implant. Also said Dr. Brett Gray, {Oral Surgery associates}. Dr. Gray holds 3 medical degrees and has been my doctor for over 20 years. Board certified Oral Surgeon. Maxo facial degree, and a medical degree. Emory University trained. Dr. Alex's wife stated he isn't educated in crowns. I argued. " I had 2 follow up visits to evaluate my implant at my oral surgeon. Received the green light for completion. Evidently Dr. Alex's wife knows better. By the way I was told that Dr. Alex hadn't even looked at my situation and was told to go to my current dentist that sold his practice, and is in his 70's, to place the crown. Basically, refused to see me. Very disappointed.

Everyone who helped me from the front desk to the exam room was personable & sincere. The procedure was very gentle, and my tooth looks as good as new! I couldn't be happier with the entire experience. Thank you to the team at Glenn Alex Dental.

(I'm not fond of the pediatric tooth-factories where kids are herded and churned out in between video games.) From the moment that I called and spoke to Anna to make the appointment to walking in the door and meeting her, and everything in between until she waved goodbye, it was as dental-delight. The hygienist, the dentist, and Anna were all friendly, informative, and efficient, and the office itself was clean and orderly. As a new patient (and a 2 year old, at that) my daughter was treated with kindness to make her first cleaning anything but the traumatic tears that I was half-expecting out of her. Nice touches like scented warm towels, Disney channel on the TV, water bottles, and the goody bag for new patients made our visit a stand-out.

Not only does my entire family visit this dentist, we have sent in our friends and neighbors as well. I personally have had a great experience with getting veneers from Dr. Vo. The experience was smooth from start to finish and my teeth look so much better. The process was much easier than I had anticipated and the results over delivered!!! Last week I had my wisdom teeth removed by Dr. Vo. My friends thought I was crazy for being awake, honestly there was no discomfort with some local numbing and the best part was I had NO discomfort after the extractions. Either Dr. Vo is a wizard dentist or I have no pain receptors in my mouth. Dr. Vo is very skilled and his staff is amazing!

Finding a good dental office is hard and finding a doctor/dentist with good bed side manner seems to be even harder. I have felt welcomed and cared for in this dental office. I have never experienced a dental practice run this poorly…read more The constant staff turnover should have been my first clue. Appointments are routinely changed, communication is disorganized, and no one seems to know what anyone else is doing. One appointment that I believed was a routine cleaning somehow turned into a 2 1/2-hour ordeal with no advance explanation. On another occasion, I was prescribed medication that should have been started before my procedure, but the prescription wasn't called in. The event that finally destroyed my confidence happened when I went in to have a chipped tooth repaired. Instead of fixing the damaged tooth, they worked on the one next to it and ended up cracking the base of the original chipped tooth. When the anesthetic wore off, the pain became so severe that I ended up in the emergency room. The result was thousands of dollars in additional treatment that never should have happened. The administrative side has been just as bad. They billed me directly for services but never submitted the claim to my insurance, leaving me to sort out a mess that should have been handled by their office. After waiting weeks for permanent crowns, I took time off work for the installation appointment. While I was driving there, the office called to say they had an emergency patient and couldn't see me. They sent me to another office later that afternoon, requiring me to take even more time off work. When I arrived, the COO apologized and informed me there had been no emergency at all. The dentist at the original office had simply decided not to complete my appointment. Being told one thing by the scheduling staff and something entirely different by management was the final straw. I canceled every remaining appointment that day. The irony? A week later, the same office that mishandled my care, my insurance, and my time called to remind me about a cleaning appointment they apparently forgot I had already canceled. Everyone understands that emergencies happen. Mistakes can happen too. What is much harder to accept is repeated poor communication, questionable scheduling practices, billing errors, and a pattern of wasting patients' time while expecting them to simply accept it. I cannot recommend this practice to anyone looking for reliable, organized, or trustworthy dental care. Honestly I think the one star rating is gracious...
