Buford Family Dental / Dr. Jong Jeoung…read more If I could give 0 stars out of 5 I would. I went to this office at or about December 2024 with persistent pain in an upper left tooth and specifically raised concern that I believed it might be cracked. I was told it was only inflammation from clenching and pressure from a missing tooth. Based on that diagnosis, I was two expensive devices - a custom-made night guard and a flexible partial denture and told this would resolve the problem over time. For months I followed all instructions exactly as given. The pain never fully resolved. The partial was not made correct, there was a large gap between the device and roof of my mouth; it never fit properly and caused food impaction, speech problems, and embarrassment from shifting and drooling. I repeatedly reported these issues and was told it only needed to "break in." When I later requested X-rays to take to a specialist because the pain continued, I was informed my dental membership plan had been canceled without my knowledge or consent. I was then denied access to my imaging and refused pain treatment. At that same visit, to replace the defective partial, I was pressured to switch to a cheaper metal partial even though Dr. Jeoung talked me into buying the more expensive plastic partial because it was, "better". I ultimately went to another dentist who found a severe vertical crack through the root of the tooth. The tooth was not salvageable and had to be extracted. I was told it could have been saved if treated earlier. After this, the Dr. Jeoung acknowledged in writing that "things did not go as planned" and offered to reimburse me, but only if I signed a full legal release. As of this writing, I have not been able to use either expensive device.

I schedule the appointment with no hassle and they did the exam and gave me multiple options to get me fix back to normal. I am so exited that I found Lanier Family Dentistry and I definitely know who's going to be taking care of me now. Also the hygienist Nadya R. also did an outstanding job cleaning all those stains off. Thank you guys and will definitely recommend them to someone who is looking for good dentist as I was.

But the staff at this practice is so incredibly personable, professional and pleasant you can't help but feel like they're extended family! Dr Alla Brown is the perfect combination of technical dental skills AND artistry with her cosmetic procedures. She explains all the procedures clearly, their benefits and drawbacks as well as the costs. When my decade old implant started failing, she noticed it and referred me to the best dental surgeon in the area. She also makes it a point to match your teeth shade color perfectly- giving you the very best in a movie star smile. If you are considering any type of dental cosmetic procedure, she is the dentist to see north of Jimmy Carter Blvd! Dr Brown is very friendly and her office is modern and nicely decorated. It is a very nice place to come and get your teeth up to speed. Can't say enough nice things about this practice, this dentist or this staff.

They're flexible with scheduling, always accommodating, and genuinely care. In stark contrast, I had one of the worst experiences of my life at Dr. Curington's office at the North Atlanta Center for Cosmetic & Implant Dentistry. I got sick and rescheduled an appointment--something most offices understand. But not here. I then noticed I was being overcharged for a crown procedure and decided to cancel altogether. That's when things got ugly. I was hit with a $4,200 "cancellation fee" for a service I never received. Yes, $4,200. And then they sent that outrageous bill to collections, deliberately damaging my credit. All for being sick and standing up for myself. At first, Dr. Curington comes across as warm and friendly, but that quickly fades if you question a service or refuse a recommendation. Based on what I've read in other reviews since, I'm not the only one who's experienced this kind of treatment. In my opinion, her concern is not your care--it's your money. Her staff reflects this as well, using pressure tactics and intimidation that no patient should ever deal with. After that nightmare, Magnolia Ridge Dental stepped up in a big way. Even though Dr. Curington refused to release my recent X-rays, Magnolia welcomed me, got me in immediately, and provided top-tier care--at a fraction of the cost. I truly cannot thank them enough. To anyone considering Dr. Curington's office: RUN AND DON'T LOOK BACK. And to Magnolia Ridge: thank you for restoring my trust in dental care.

I've received nothing but excellent care the entire time. I've also been accommodated financially on more than one occasion when payment at the time of my visit would have presented a hardship. Thanks to our we-refuse-to-pay-for-that insurance providers and the materials and manufacturing side of dentistry, dental care of any kind is ridiculously expensive, we all know that. But I have never felt taken advantage of, duped into more treatment than I needed, or otherwise sucked in to something I would later regret. Dr. Carter had huge shoes to fill when he came. Change is always hard, but I have trusted him to take over where Dr. Davis left off and have not been disappointed. The practice has worked very closely with my periodontist, Dr. George Quintero, for the same 18-year period such that oral treatment I have received has been second to none. I am 62 and have every confidence that heeding my doctors' advice and recommendations will assure that I am not eating baby food from a jar as I enter old age in the next decade or two!

My husband had an AMAZING experience!!…read more See his comments below: Short answer: On a scale 1 to 10 the finished product was a 14! Dr. Murray is the BEST dentist I've ever seen! Long answer: In any legitimate trade there are 3 levels of performance - professionals, experts, and masters. Dr. Murray is definitely a master at her craft and the best dentist I've encountered in 30 years and 7 states. Let's put it this way, when it comes to cosmetic dentistry, I would fly across the country to have her do the work because... 1. It's your face. 2. It needs to be the best the first time, so I'd rather be inconvenienced one time then going back to mend a professional's work. The tooth is the front left incisor so it's front and center every time you talk. I chipped it when I was 20 and the work was very good, however by the time I was 45 I chipped it again and I went through two other dentists who are professionals but they just couldn't get Humpty Dumpty back together. It kept chipping and the frustration kept growing until Dr. Murray stepped in. The fit-and-finish is perfect, you can't tell AT ALL, and the best part is she made it twice as thick and virtually bulletproof. I'm extremely confident to bite down and I can't say enough. In your mind you have the job you want done but you know it probably won't happen because you shoot extra high....and she hit that summit and surpassed it! The reason I labor the long answer is because that's what I like to read when I'm researching. Telling me that somebody did a "super job" isn't enough. And excellence should always get the notoriety it deserves.
