    Spicy rice cake
    Yiyuan H.

The restaurant environment is very clean, has a lot of funky decorations, but it is not a real BBQ restaurant ,you can't do BBQ by yourself, they made it for you ,like a combo.the restaurant owner come from Korea, but the food style is not like a real Korea.they also have a Kids corner,it has some small toys.but kids like it.the restaurant offer the free ice cream. We like the spicy rice cake and noddles. If you like spicy sweet food, here is the better choice.

The environment, food and service are way much better than the other famous Korean restaurant. free ice cream. Strongly recommend!!!

Wow, a great surprise since I am always amazed that the best food can be hidden in simple strip malls but hey! this is Canada and the best is often modest and understated here. We all chose one thing and then shared it all as a group and so yummy. The spring rolls were lovely and had a wonderful soft wrap that I hadn't seen before, even in New York or other large cities. Good service, and for dessert (so to speak) I had a cup of their coffee which was so good - strong drip coffee with sweetened condensed milk at the bottom. You had to stir it up to see it but, gosh. A little bit of heaven for sure.

The vegetables while they looked good at first are mushy soggy and over cooked. When I called to report $57 of inedible, unsafe food, I was offered a measly $10 credit. Management clearly doesn't take food safety or customer loyalty seriously. Currently disputing the charge and reporting to SHA. For evidence please look at the attached photos of grease soaked bags, napkins trying to salvage the food, and the puddle in the chicken balls - that isn't moisture, its oil.

I think there was a good amount. I would have liked to have seen more vegetarian options. They have seafood toppings which I thought was interesting and cool. The waiter was polite and friendly.

We came in at 12:30 as a table of 5 with a toddler for lunch and are currently the only customers in the restaurant. From the start they had no idea what the specials are, after asking she referred us to a piece of paper but failed to mention the specials didn't start until 4, at this point is was 12:40. We took our time and got our order in at about 12:50. Our orders were simple, a club sandwich, xl pizza, wing meal and dry rib meal. They switched out their one server after ordering and the new one didn't even visit our table until atleast quarter after 1. We had empty waters and coffee around the table for a while and had to get up to ask for refills. I was drinking tea and asked for a refill, she brought me a pot with the old bag still in it and i had to ask for a new one. We got the pizza at about 1:20 and nothing else. On the bright side the pizza was good. 5 minutes later we got the saddest excuse of a clubhouse sandwich I've ever seen 1 piece of bacon, 1 slice of cheese and 1 slice of lettuce per side with only 1 piece of ham on the other by the looks of it. The ribs came about 10 minutes later cold and missing the poutine. The toddler and I sat without our meals for another 15 minutes and everyone else was done eating before we received our food which was also cold. The fettuccine that came as a side for the wings were inedible and the caesar salads had nothing on them but croutons. The "garlic bread" was white toast with plain ol' butter on it. At no point during our service were we even partially satisfied and shocked that 110 dollars gets you this poor of service. We asked to speak with a manager and none was on staff. The server blamed it on the cook being new and busy but if he wasn't capable of managing one table why was he on shift by himself? They didn't take any owness or apologize but after explaining how awful our experience was they offered a 10% discount but after reviewing the receipt it was clear they made up their 10% loss by increasing the price of the orders. They had their chance to retain some business and apologize but decided to squeeze a few extra bucks out instead. Disgraceful service, everyone on staff should be looking for a new job. Will never return and tell everyone I know to avoid this place like the plague Yelp should allow 0 stars after this poor of service.

The decor might not be much, but it's my solid go-to for good, home cooked Cantonese food. Just a tip, order from the Chinese menu. What is it you might ask? The menu for Asian people who know what they're ordering. Yes I know it sounds horrible, but they have a standard "Western" menu chock full of "chinese" dishes known in North America. And I say that in air quotes cause most of that stuff were invented here and actually has little to no relation to actual Chinese cuisine. It just makes life easier that way. Ginger beef, sweet and sour pork.. Yeah the good deep fried stuff covered in syrupy alien sauce as we know it. That stuff is also delicious, but if you're trying to save on the calories and eat the good stuff, then you need to order from the Chinese menu. For example, when I make ginger beef at home, it is beef and broccoli with a gingery soy sauce sauteed, not deep fried. Without the disgusting amount of cornstarch and msg in it. So on to the food review. So far I've had the yang chow fried rice, sweet and sour pork, tofu with minced meat hotpot, oyster and onion hotpot, salted fish fried rice and the bbq duck. All fantastic. All reasonably priced for the portions you're getting. You're definitely getting at least 2.5 meals per person for a family of 4. Well in our house, it's more like 1.5 meals for a family of 2, only cause I like it that much and can't stop eating it. This place is comparable to any reputable small eatery in Richmond, Vancouver and I don't give that compliment lightly. If you're not feeling too adventurous, definitely start with the yang chow fried rice. They make it with baby shrimp, scrambled eggs and diced Chinese sausage...the sausage alone is reason to order it. The most important thing is you can taste the "wok hei" in the fried rice. That's the flavour imparted by a searingly hot wok to the rice. If description of this foodie term doesn't mean much to you, then all you need to know is the chef knows his shit and can work that wok. And therefore anything you order from that wok is gonna be goddamn delicious. The other thing of worthy note is the bbq duck. It has the right amount of sauce to fat to meat ratio, it blew my mind. I highly regret getting only the half order but hey, Chinese New Year is fast coming up and I'll be having it again. Note that the hotpot stuff might be a little to foreign to most in Regina, so maybe save that for when you're feeling adventurous. Hotpots can take on a jello-like consistency and look, so it doesn't look that appetizing but when you're in the mood, it can be healthy comfort food. Try it on a takeout night!
