Peaks Pizza is a take-out located within the Cathedral Social Hall. I got their take-out special #3 - any 3-14" pizzas for $60. We got Las Veggies, The Hog, and Queen Bee. The general review of all three were that it's too thin which made the centre of pizza quite soggy and some edges were too burnt. I kinda did like the soggy part but it was quite thin for the cost. Now going more in-depth with each one. Starting off with Las Veggies, made with San Marzano, Fior Di Latte, Goat Cheese, Spinach, Mushroom, Onion, Fresno Peppers, and Balsamic Reduction. (Don't worry; I had to google a lot of the ingredients to know what it was too ). I personally didn't have any due to the all the veggies but the feedback I got from it was that it had the best taste amongst the three. Next up was The Hog which is made with House Smoked Pork, Apple, Honey BBQ Sauce, Fior Di Latte, Fresh Chives. My niece loooved the apple slices but unfortunately the rest of the pizza was too dry for her to eat (and us too). I was quite disappointed to see the amount of apples and how thin they managed to slice it (...but my niece seemed to enjoy it regardless! Last but not least, Queen Bee, which was my favourite. This is made with San Marzano, Fior Di Latte, Speck Prosciutto, Arugula, Olive Oil, Chilli Honey, Pecorino. I never had honey on pizza so I was excited to try it and it was such a sweet and savoury flavour! I think I would have liked it more if the arugula was cut up a bit more but that's just my preference. Overall, the flavours were good for a couple of them but not quite worth it for the price. I had supper this evening with my pal, Shawna, at Cathedral Social Hall, which is in Shawna's 'hood. Shawna's been there many times and likes it. She ordered Hall Tacos with Blackened Chicken, and a side of guac. I ordered a Crispy Colonel sandwich (minus the lettuce) with fries and a side of gravy. My wife and I came here with her extended family for dinner and drinks one Saturday night while we were in town for a wedding. The place was pretty busy, though not completely packed. When my wife and I arrived some of her family had already snagged a table near the keg wall so we didn't have to wait. The atmosphere here is what you'd expect from a modern restaurant/beer hall in most cities. Our service was great as the food came quick and our glasses were never empty. My wife and I shared the pirogi and sausage plate. It was great and hit the spot. It's large enough for anyone to conquer on their own for dinner, but if you're not up for a full meal it shares well. There's a large beer selection here and I'd guess it's a 50/50 split between craft and macro. For my beers I went with the "when in Rome" philosophy and got two flights; The Sasky and The Dewdney. These flights were a great selection of local Regina and SK beers...except for one. They didn't have a seasonal brew for one of the Regina breweries and changed it out for Okanagan Springs 1516. A little bit of a let down. Not only because it's a beer from BC, but its a macro brew product disguised as craft that you can pretty much get anywhere. Prices for everything were on par for this style of restaurant. Expect to pay a little under $20 for a main, beers are $7-8 and the flights are $10. read more

I don't normally write a review, but after our experience today at Cathedral Social Hall, I feel like I have to! We waited for about 13-15 minutes before we got a table, and it wasn't even busy...there were like 7 tables available. FOUR waitresses/hostess just walked by us, and didn't even bothered asking "Hello, did someone helped you already?/Hi, I'll be there in just a minute." Or even just a smile, none. They were just at the bar chatting and laughing. I've tried to approach a waitress but it seems like they're trying to avoid me. Despite the fact of their horrible customer service, we've decided to stay as they said that Cathedral Social Hall's foods are "good". Met my husband for lunch on a Friday. It was busy and loud and we liked the atmosphere. Waiter was prompt and brought our drinks right away. However we waited at least 45 minutes for our food --which was only ok for the price. $18 for a small bowl of butter chicken and naan. My $15 Smoky Mac and Cheese needed salt...it was pretty bland. We sat at a bar stool counter, and never got the bucket of 'supplies'...just cutlery. Menu looked pretty good and we liked the atmosphere so will give it another shot sometime, maybe after work drinks. read more

The former Cathedral Village Free House has been completely transformed into a beer hall and renamed Cathedral Social Hall. The centre of the restaurant has some long beer hall style tables. The menu is completely new. There is a large selection of beer on tap. A number of local beer choices are featured. I was there for lunch and while it was very busy and noisy the staff was attentive and very friendly. It feels like the place has an entirely new level of energy. I would recommend reservations since it always seems to be busy. read more

This local restaurant/bar is awesome. The atmosphere is fun, welcoming, and modern and the food menu has a nice variety. I get the fries as my side every time cause they're the best fries ever. Also, their pricing is more than fair. The liquor menu is great and has a ton of different beers to choose from, however, I do have to say they serve the best Moscow Mules in the city. They use actual ginger beer, not just ginger syrup. Lastly, the owner (or at least one of the owners), Matt, is super nice! He personally checks on the tables any chance he gets to ensure his customers are having a good experience. I'd recommend giving this place a try! read more

Food was pretty good. We ordered nachos as a table and I had the BBQ chicken club. The nachos were good - the chicken club was kind of greasy, but you could eat it. BUT, the service was HORRIBLE - and I'm not a picky person. We ordered drinks and about 20 minutes later was informed that one of our drinks was unavailable. Okay, fine. New drinks were ordered and a friend was finishing her order and the waitress walked away, so the order was taken without being complete. We had to repeatedly flag down other waitresses for things like water, new drinks...and then when the food came out ALMOST everyone's food came out. I waited for about 5-6 minutes and our waitress came up and asked how our food was. I looked at my empty spot and then back up at her and she was stunned that I didn't have it yet. Anyway, I got my food but we never got a water refill or other drinks. Would I go back? If a friend desperately wanted to go there and there were no other places in Regina that had what they wanted...but on my own? Not a chance. read more

Beer selection is amazing as they have a ridiculous amount of taps. Food is fancied up bar food which suits the setting well. The setting is good on weekday evenings but I'd avoid it late on the weekend. Music is often techno DJ and too loud and the patrons there are often quite inebriated later on a weekend. read more
